Is it fine with a little bit of thin paper and paper that has ink and graphite on it?
I do not know. The best way to find out is to test with a small piece that does not matter. If you do, please come back on and comment and I will pin it to help everyone else! 😀
@@ChristinesCrafts I tried it and it worked. Right now I'm making a fantasy map and I need to make it look very ancient so ty for this video.

was the paper you tried out already written on?
cuz i made a lot of written stuff and i wanted to make it old enough, but everything went horribly wrong
my paper got all stainy due to the paper
@@marcoesposito708 to me it looked fine
@@Shaq1122 i used a stylographic pen, it washed up completely, i had to redo it😭

Tea and crumples. Isn't that a traditional English snack?
😂Love it! Ooh yes, tea nd crumples!
Crumpets
@@CcCalamity There's always one dimwit who can't recognize when someone is making a pun. Congratulations.
I run some D&D style games for some local kids and this is gonna help me make fun little magic scrolls to give to them. Thank you for the ideas!
When doing both the tea dye and the crumple, is it better to dye the paper first or crumple first?
To be honest I don't think it matters. If you crumple first you will get dark lines along the crumples that will emphasize them. Perhaps try one each way and see which you prefer.
would the coffee and tea be hot or cold?
I made it hot but waited for it to cool a bit before using it. I just didn't want to be working with hot liquids. 😀
Great idea! Can I use hairdryer to dry the paper faster?
I would have thought so. Just don't burn your paper with it too hot and close. 😀
After you soak it in tea and it dries, Can you use it on printer to print something on it? I mean is the text clear afterward?
In all honesty I have not tried but it should be okay so long as the paper is thoroughly dry.
I personally print first on paper, then do the tea dye. It works fine that way!
@@amandas6600 Thank you for your help with this.
Can i use brown food coloring instead of coffee ?
I have never tried it but I would expect it to work. Experiment - remember you can always add more if it does not colour it enough. 😀
Could you possibly put the wet paper in the oven at say 150 F?
I am sorry but I have not tried it. If you give it a go be very careful and do not leave it unattended.
If you do try please let us know here how it goes.
The tea or coffee doesn’t smell or kinda get moldy even?
Not in my experience. Just make sure your paper is completely dry before you store or use it. 🙂
Easier to slightly wet the edges of paper with water and than pull it apart
Does this work if there is ink on the paper
I think it depends on the ink. If it is waterproof you should be okay BUT you need to test. It is quite common for ink to wash out and your project be ruined. Good luck!

Mam, At my home I don't have coffee ☕ powder to make coffee and you are!!!!
Well, I hope you understand what I mean!
You can use tea (if you have it)
