Does this work from a remote wifi or must you be on the same wifi at the same time? Like if I were to install one at home and then go out could I connect to it and access all the control functions if I’m on 4g somewhere while out?

as long as the camera is connected to local wifi you can view is on the app on your phone from anywhere you get a cell signal or wifi to your phone.
