Devin, I'm the same way when I find myself teaching technicians with 5, 10, or even 15+ years "experience" the fundamentals of electrical systems. I've been in the industry 20 years and a Senior Master Technician 9 years. I don't know how in the hell some of these guys have made it at all. Your sarcasm is heavily necessary and understood. I can't claim to be as well versed with Holley EFI as some, but the ability to read a schematic should be a prerequisite for installing these systems. I, as well as many others, appreciate the time you take to make these videos of your talent. Thank you for such great content.
My biggest issue as a novice EFI guy was understanding the IAC and what it meant to adjust it properly. I ended up with fuel in my oil because I didn’t do it right at first. It’s all good now, but still freaks me out if I see it up at warm idle.
Okay here goes nothing, I'm one of those non-experienced dipsticks, I don't even own a laptop, I took my time, routered my wiring as if I would be graded on it, no issues, fired right up and is running fine, I just went and got electric fans, I purchased a nice little relay setup from current performance wiring for the Terminator x ground triggered setup, the fans come on as soon as I turn the ignition before the set parameters engine cold, the ac is not turned on, if you can help that would be great that is why I subscribed if this pisses you off or aggravates you, no worries, it will be the last time.
You done told the people to get the meter out, oh no! People are gonna be wanting know what the heck is the meter now! 😆 and when they do find out they’re gonna start spreading terminals. The questions are never gonna end for you there buddy.
Download the Terminator x software. Get the can cable. Hard to go through the small screen for set up, troubleshooting and tuning. You can buy a can "y" adaptor if you don't want to cut your can connectors.
2:40 i lmao, the world of internet instant answers have ruined reading comprehension. Im sure #1 in the instructions says “read before install” yet its rarely done.
I have the Holley Terminator x installed on my 5.3 Lm7 swap & it runs amazing, I tuned it myself via software using videos like these. Love it so far. Only question I want to ask is my #1 diagnostic light (ECU power) flashes slightly. From light green to bright green.... Just wondering if this is normal....i have zero issues with my swap & it runs great. Any input is greatly appreciated 👍
Devin….any idea why Holley Terminator X burns up crank sensors? Been using MS3 goldbox for years and never had this issue. Heard others with Holley hp having the same issue. I’m on sensor #3 stock crank 24x reluctor Lq4. Burned up two within 10 start ups. Sent emails to Holley with no answer back.
Devin this is gonna sound dumb it definitely is I hooked up the term x now randomly it will lose power to the ecu killing the car it didn’t do it when I first hooked it up it’s a new issue. I’ve looked everything over any ideas
Step 1 read and understand ALL the instructions. When confused repeat step 1. Great video as always

People could use more time with paper in general. Thanks good info for us terminator rookies.
Thanks Devin! Pulled up wiring diagram and think I was able to find my start issue!
(Spoke to you last year at Greer about your intech trailer!)
Glad to see you doing better and great content
Straight to the battery has been mentally tattooed in my head can’t forget it

Any luck troubleshooting misfires or other basic issues? Wiring and startup was easy. Would be nice to have some form of engine diagnostics

I have the stealth and I wanted to know why my rpm is not reading other hand-held. It's a sbc I'm also running the 6al2 programmable.
U difinitly have to use a meter cause the colors dont always match the diagram. I learned that the hard way

Devin is there a way to use a GM IAC with the terminator X 550-937F kit
Ohhhh now I get it duhhhh🤪
Hope your feeling better brother
Subbed for the SAVAGE sarcasm. +5 pts.
I want to do coil near plug which brand would you recommend I got a terminator x 550-937f I would appreciate if you answer
holley smart coils
@@theholleyefiguy thank you for your reply what you think about msd dis kit part number 60152
Wait... don’t tell people to Polk a wire or they will, right through the insulation. People are far to easily mislead.
I installed my Holley but the green wire doesn’t have power but the fuse got power in also the relay got power
Do a tps auto set.
Yeah my starter wasn’t pushing the correct mount of amp . So the crank was wasn’t spinning fast enough for the Holley to show rpm’s while cranking
I wired my car overnight....6 months later I'm having crank sensor issues
