@benrogers there is a simple explanation if bruce brown isnt traded. no one is willing to give a 1st round pick for bruce brown is why he returns. its likely masai feature bruce brown in the offence like siakam to trade him by deadline. its another tank year in 2025 so it wont matter if they tweak the offence to feature bruce brown.

Indiana is the ones who paid this contract and Denver never wanted to see him go, he was good with the Nets which is what got him to become a piece on a title winner. Not saying Raps GM doing a phenomenal job on this front but good players have slumped before, especially when he injured. Was rough to watch him this year for sure but there no telling what he comes out looking like this year

It's a no Brainer... We could not get what we wanted for him at the Deadline.. So we will pick up his contract and trade him to a contender at the the dealine. We should do the same with Gary Trent if we can't find a sign and trade fir him.. Not surprised by this at all

Darko's ball movement offence generated a ton of wide open looks for shooters. The problem was the ball ended up in the hands of our low % 3pt makers on this team--of which Bruce Brown was one of them. This fell right into our opponents' defensive game plan--clog the paint and only guard the very few consistently high % 3pt shooters that exist on this team, and dare the rest to make their shots. I remember him missing a ton of those shots and lay-ups against an opponent's decent-elite rim protector. If Darko had coached the Celtics, I believe they would have won even more games. Other than SB, we have no real stars that really draw that many double-teams, and he is surrounded by very few shooters. We were just about the easiest team in the league to guard. Bruce Brown doesn't fit, and we will likely get nothing for him. If history teaches us anything though, we will trade him to another team and all of a sudden he will become one of their best rotation players.
Most of the mid-level players who leave the Raps stay mid. Everyone overreacted to Yuta and Banton. Yuta wasn't even used in the playoffs and Banton got minutes because the Trailblazers were so bad. Lots of points but losing by 30 every night and shooting low percentages.
Brown really out here trying to get that 23 million option picked up by the Raps. 23 million reasons to let him go bye-bye unless he restructures his contract for 3/36. Pacers continue to finesse Masai in the Siakam deal. Pacers off to the 2nd round. Hopefully, Masai will be able to trade Brown to a team seeking salary cap apron relief by June 29th - time will tell.

Bruce has virtually no trade value, and it won't be any different before the deadline next year. If Toronto is confident that they can secure a free agent without his contract, I say cut your losses and let him go. The other option, aside from keeping him on the roster, would be to package him with other players/picks and trade him that way. He's not a bad addition to the Raptors, his contract is just ridiculous.
He will be getting a two year $30 million contract with a team option for 2nd year
Bruce Brown is a good role player like a 6th man but 23 million is a little to much if raptors accepts the team option
Do a sign and trade at the draft. That would be ideal. BROWN isn't going to have an impact on this team. I don't know what Masaii and Bobby saw in him to bring him here in the Siakam trade, wow , ugh !!! Obgaigy is questionable as well. Masaii can spin this trade all he wants about how Obgaigy is going to be an Ananoby replacement but are we kidding , it was bad.

Bringing back Trent would be good at the right price. Gradey does the same thing he does and seemingly is less streaky in a small sample size. But shooting is always a Raptor issue. Trent over Brown preferably
For what he's getting paid, he would need to double his scoring output. People talk about Boucher being overpaid? Keeping Brown would be nuts!!!
Isiah Collier in this this years draft does what he does, quicker younger and is a better passer as a draft prospect....so is masai willing to take up his option just to have him occupy a roster spot for a mid-role player at best.
unless you take collier at 6, he wont be there at 19. darko rested players and played scrubs an threw the game against pacers that lead to 16 turning into 19.

You either think he can get back to form when "healthy" or you think he will play out his career same as he did this season with us. @@Jayse it is another tank year. they will try to compete but with veterans gone from bench and possibly 3 rookies lead by mcdaniels , agbaji and dick, you know that bench is like having no bench in reality. so unless darko plays starters 45 minutes a game like nick nurse for the entire season, there is no way darko is winning more than 28-30 games. and with possible injuries from overplaying in an olympic year, it could be less wins than this year.
