    Random question: at cruise I hear a chime, assuming this is the flight attendants, but not sure what they want since pressure and cabin temp is good..

    Been looking online and can't find an answer. Can anyone tell me how to make the autopilot shut up when I disconnect it?

    • @2020fsers
      @2020fsers  Před 2 lety +1

      Ye if you look forward there are 3 button when autopilot is disc. One of them will light up with ap or at disc pres on them and it should shut up the noise. These buttons are not on the ap panel it is above thae main gauges on the pilot side . Hope this helps

    Hi there, nice explanation indeed although I have a question. How do you decide which TGT temp is in TO mode; By default it is set to 820 to start with but would there be other suitable values regarding to outside conditions ? Thanks

    • @2020fsers
      @2020fsers  Před rokem

      I believe in TO mode it will auto set the temp for you . For outside temp consideration use the flex temp setting . Thanks for the comment 😀

      @2020 fs'ers And how about the use of GO mode or deciding which engine to use as reference for master or control in sync mode ..
      Thank you

    • @2020fsers
      @2020fsers  Před rokem

      It has TO mode for takeoff. And you can use either engine for reference. This is incase you loose an engine I presume and want to select another engine as master.

    Morning boss. Well done as usual. Take a look at a new product. FSHud. A fairly new ATC program. It's for P3Dv5 right now but, coming to MSFS soon. I can't get Pilot2ATC going because of data issues, so this might be a nice substitute. Could be a replacement for the old Radar Contactv4.3. Have a good weekend.

      Good Friday morning to ya and thanks for the comment . Yes I heard of this but I haven't looked into it yet once I found out it's not available in msfs yet but I'm going to check it out I hope we get a better atc for the sim I don't like pilot to atc all that much when using voice control but many others do. Idk I'd just like another option other than live atc. Anyway thanks for the heads up and enjoy your weekend.

    The descent button is to ensure that the engines run at a speed above flight idle such that there is a sufficient bleed air supply to the air conditioning system to maintain cabin pressure and adequate cabin ventilation. It has nothing to do with maintaining hydraulic pressure as the hydraulic pumps are self regulating to 3000 psi and there are not any large flow demands during a typical descent.

      Thanks for the clarification I knew it had something to.do with that I probably should have read a little.more but I got the point across. Thanks again for the info 😀

    • @peterkeenan8938
      @peterkeenan8938 Před 2 lety +4

      In a similar way, when you select the anti-ice system, because they are supplied by engine bleed air (not electrical) the engine speed is increased to ensure that there is an adequate supply for the air conditioning system as well as the ice protection system from the engines. How do I know this - I was part of the original design team and I worked in the Fluid Systems Department which covered engine bleed air and hydraulics.

    Thanks for another great video! I did the JF tutorial flight today and I got a bit confused about the TMS system, especially as I mixed up the TMS-sync with the AP-sync. So this video is really helpful to get a grip on this fantastic aircraft. I flew it a lot on P3D and I've been longing to fly it on MSFS.
    I also had some problems with assigning buttons on my controller (X52 HOTAS) for some of the functions in the 146, especially the AIRBRAKE and the AP-SYNC button. Do you or anyone know if there is some listing avaiable for the MSFS controller commands and the not so common functions in the 146?
    I have an issue I'm not able to solve with the airbrake and would be very grateful if someone has a clue. I can't extend the Airbrakes!! (I've managed to do some decent landings but the brakes got really hot). When I pull the airbrake lever it won't move out of the IN position, it just stutters and flips back to the IN position. I've tried it in every phase of the flight and different throttle settings, but just can't get it to work. Could be that I've missed some crucial setting in the aircraft och something with my controller setting, but I'm lost right now. Would be grateful for any help on where I should start to look.
    Looking forward to your upcoming videos on this fantastic aircraft (and others)!!

      Hey thanks for the comment . I got so fed up with the key bindings on msfs I jumped over to spad and never looked back. They have a free version you can try and the man to watch on this is les o riley he has fantastic videos on youtube on this and he shares his profiles. I mainly fly vr now so I always use the controller but for my brakes I use a button on my bravo for that with no issues. If you are clicking the brake and it flips back off then maybe a key is bound to that and you don't know . Here's how to solve this eliminate variables. So go to your profiles create a new blank profile for everything plugged in the USB. Except for the mouse and go and try the air brakes again . If it works now you need to find the culprit and start 1 at a time. Turn on each profile for your usb devices 1 at a time testing each time when you turn on the profile that gives you issues now start narrowing that down . You will find it.

      On my X52 I have SYNC and AIR BRAKE binds. SYNC is toggle afterburner in MSFS, airbrake is airbrake axis.

      @@madvent9090 Thanks for your advice about binding to the "Toggle Afterburner" command. My airbrake problems was due to a conflict in the command settings. I then chose to bind AIR BRAKE to the slider on the throttle quadrant.
