Clay Porter is a master of photography, scenery selection, music score and editing, simply beautifully filmed. And AG, what can be said about Aaron that hasn't been said before, one of the best bike riders in the history of the sport.

He's a really nice guy too. I was at a friends house in Aptos for the weekend and he and Tyler McCall showed up to film Tyler's Deity TMac pedal add. So I acted as Clays camera grip for the weekend, helping set up equipment. I even got to handle his RED camera a couple of times. Always nice, never grumpy. Great guy.

Well-said! And Aaron is very well-spoken and is a great storyteller. He’s narrated this very well, and even in his instructional videos he explains things very clearly.

    just a small contribution here:
standing on the trail where Aaron Gwin races by: its like you have seen a ghost. silence, stillness, space. He's there and then he's not there.
    Badass

Man first time riding mammoth I crashed 9 times in 2 days and was so frustrated and was convinced it was a terrible unrideable place. After a few trips and loosening up it is truly one of the most fun places to ride on a bike and you learn to trust the dirt to form traction underneath your tires as you push into it. What an incredible place.

  • @joeyriveira6697

Awesome video . Brings back memories of racing the kamikaze in the days of Norba . I remember running the course for practice and thinking if I go down from a flat how it would suck as we’d hit 50+ mph on the fast sections just by tucking . The best part of those weekends was riding down this cool single track route that took from one section of the mtn to the base . Yes your right about the cinder soil it’s very interesting almost like riding in big granule sand . We raced both cross country & downhill back then and many would cough up blood from the cinder ash getting in our throats . Either way mammoth was a spectacular race & riding place what a place to see . Thanks for the great video & all the memories of racing the Norba nationals those days were the greatest as an amateur to turning pro .
