    An update after a year or so since several people are wondering if the upgrade is worth it:
    It's definitely an improvement in the sense that I don't experience "audible exhaustion" as easily anymore because the sound is so horrible. That in and by itself is nice. However, I can tell that the head unit is also a limiting factor, so don't experience miracles.
    It also depends on the genre you are listening to, funny enough. For example rock seems to still be somewhat lacking in a certain range in the sound (I'm not an audiophile so I can't definitely point to "mid range" or whatever for example). However, electronic music is now really quite good with the new speakers. But then again it's a German car ... if you aren't blasting ze techno music you are doing it wrong, LOL

    LOL.. rivets on speakers.. Volkswagen really doesn't want people to upgrade their speakers..

    Did you notice a measurable audio quality difference by replacing the factory 2ohm speakers with the 4 ohm speakers in your video?

    Wish I was able to find those harness adapters when I was doing my door speakers.. seems so much easier 😅

    Planning on doing this to my 2023 SE pretty soon, as the stock speakers are JUNK! Are you happy with how they sound on the stock head unit? Considering the Enfig Kicker plug and play amp kit, as I don’t want to run new wire for a 4 channel amp.

    Awesome video. I just ordered everything you posted in the description. What size rivet did you use from the set?

    On amazon it says up till 2016 vehicles, does vw pretty much just use the same plug for everything after or did u have to do smth special to the wiring harness

    • @sebi8494
      @sebi8494  Před rokem +1

      The wiring harness worked as is. Just plug it in and you are all set. If you read the whole product description on Amazon you will find "1999 - 2022 Jetta"

      Does the same plug also work for mk7 gli’s?

      The listed adapter does not fit a 2019 Jetta SEL with the Beats system.
