@@dianedavidson7977 it's a minimum 5 years to be eligible to apply for citizenship. Only reason I didn't have to wait the 5 years as a Canadian immigrant is because I enlisted in the US Air Force on active duty and thus the wait period was waived.
That said, I and many other veterans, including many immigrant veterans, stand ready to defend the Constitution of the United States, and by extension the people, by any means necessary from a fascist assault on our rights. We will not go quietly.

There are federalist society judges throughout red-state courts, state and federal courts. What do we in red states do? I guess move, but then they win. . . And if I put up a vote-blue sign or put a bumper sticker on my car I will get harassed and keyed. It's so frightening. I can't even trust my neighbors anymore. There's only a handful of people I can talk to. It's so sad. I hate this so much!!

As people, we often don't recognise consequential change when it happens. A lot of what we know comes from study, from a distance. We develop perspective over time. However, today is possibly the most consequential day in all our lives. The USA has irrevocably been changed - from a President to the equivalent of a King in one day. No revolution, no war. Just the stroke of a pen. Six unelected justices have made the decision for an entire country. No vote, no consensus, no referendum.

It's the big metal V on the front of a train. It's essentially a plow. It moves things off the tracks as a train barrels through. Anthony, I’ve been commenting about this for awhile now. Like other like minded Americans, we have seen this coming for some time. However, between those who are trying to destroy this democracy, those who won’t vote (or even bother to register), those who vote irresponsibly or throwaway and those who refuse to take this seriously, there’s just not enough of us...yet. Whether republican or democrat this vector was clear. For me, when “pro-life” started the push against government funding, yet stood fully behind and supported more weapons on our city streets, and when the mass shooting started, all we got was “hope & prayer” that dichotomy needed additional research. It was then I began to realize, not pro-life, anti-abortion. So, here we are, effective abortion ban covering much of the nation, women fleeing states and degraded women’s healthcare, plus, citizens, walking the streets with semi-auto long guns, equipped with bump stocks strapped to their backs. IMHO, not sure we can come back from this.
Mr. Davis, as an American citizen, albeit non-native, your prose supplies a rather unique and fresh view on a century old problem. Many are fighting to preserve this democracy, and native or not, you are literally more American then at least 37% of the native born. Welcome to America!

Since that's the easiest way to pay off your debt. He proposed tuition-free law school. Because that would flood the benches with engaged people, instead of mortgaged people.

A complete lack of understanding or indifference did this. We are down to calling on Biden to exercise his new powers and issue some executive orders ,now that he's immune, abolish the courts, abolish the Congress and convene a constitutional convention. This is his Gorbachev moment. Dissolution with peace or dissolution with violence.

Not every conspiracy is stupidly unfounded. 99% of them are, but this one isn't.
Much like the origin of AIDS: Conspiracies enough, but enough proof to state that it started with an encapsulated chimpansee colony for medical purposes in Congo breeding vaccines, not with Africans fornicating apes. Much like it is more and more likely that COVID-19 actually escaped the lab, instead of bats & animals & markets. Which still seems unlikely, btw, since labs these days have serious restrictions. Mais bon, China. Could have happened.
In Congo they were just breeding a polio vaccin on the kidneys of those apes and injected a million people with the final vaccin. Which happened to contain the source of HIV as well (mammal-version; let's call it MIV). Apes are fairly resistant; from what I understood, around 25% of Chimpansees are MIV-infected and most don't die from it. Much like the flu. Inject it into a million people, and you have a problem. It mutated. The circle of vaccinations in Congo coincided with the first concentrated heaps of HIV infections. Medical science tries to deny it, trying to prove AIDS existed before 1955, but their arguments are flimsy, although accepted by the scientific community.
Mais bon, that's just my alu-head, trying to prove that 99% of conspiracies are utter nonsense, but some áre real.
What you call a conspiracy, is actually real. And the GOP is not a scientific community. Anything but.
