- I recently posted a short called "If Eddie Van Halen was in Dire Straits. Many of you asked for the "original" version. Here you go!
Sounds good but it lacks the fluidity and feel. It's too cautious....
Say your a not a guitar player without saying your not a guitar player.
Only the person who really feels the song could do that, here, only Mr. Knopfler could.

@@ETH85 you’re kidding right. Guitar shops won’t even let you past the opening of Stair way to Heaven. And nobody has done a 5 guitarist jam session ever before or ever since FREE BIRD Dire Straits leader was the Dire Straits guitarist and vocalist. He made that group what it was. The others were all group efforts and I’m pretty sure in the 60s and 70s before MTV they were the best thing that I liked. Dire Straight’s was maybe the best in the 80s and probably overlooked by many people

Very sad when all of these people are just copying Mark Knopfler. If they had any talent at all they would write and play their own music. As it is, they're just technicians copying a design.

Obviously you don’t play any instruments to any kind of standard, the way you learn is by playing other pieces of music ,practicing scales , techniques understanding the instrument . Nothing wrong at all with playing Dire straits or anyone else’s music . Let’s hear you play your own music and let CZcams decide if your any good or just a sad person that criticises everything your not able to do yourself.
