Ford 3.5 Ecoboost Lincoln MKS or Taurus SHO Smoking at idle

Lincoln MKS smoking at Idle but runs fine when moving. This is the same setup in Taurus SHO and Ford Explorers and likely on other 3.5 ecoboost motors. Problem is with the PCV vapor Canister Purge Valve. Stopped at a traffic light for more than a minute after driving for a while would result in the car smoking like a freight train. Massive cloud would come out of the tailpipes (mostly passenger side), car would "ping and knock" while pulling away, and then it clears right up within 50 yards and car drives just fine any time other than stopped at idle.
