I don't know much about PSU inner working but don't these old PSU have multiple rails and single rail can only deliver 15-20 amps. don't you have to connect two rails but can you do that? And there's no current limiter on them it will deliver as much power amp tries to pull. Good PSU will deliver about Twice as much power as rated power before blowing up. 350W is continuous power dunno how peak power works on PSU.

There are enough yellow and black wires in the power supply that you can clump them together to about the size of 4 gauge wire. You will need 750w or higher power supply to allow your amp to go at full power.

Of course it absolutely applies. You'll want to make sure your power consumption on your audio amp is below the output of your pc power supply.

I wanna do this. And buy a spare 650 or 700 watt amp for this...but feel like I'd mess up the power supply. And I'd use the pcie or cpu plug in as those two use a lot of power and can handle it. Especially the pcie

I did this with a 600 watt power supply with a kicker 400.1 mono amp to one American Bass 10 and an Alpine bluetooth receiver running four 6.5 coaxials and holy hell is it loud! Ive had it running since 2018. I took all of the yellows together and all of the blacks together. One yellow won't supply as much current as multiples will. I ran 2 or 3 yellows to the car stereo and the rest to the amp. People are so blown away at how loud it screams and how low the bass goes.

The more yellows the better. A single one will work but is too thin to really carry any serious current. I ran 3 yellows to my car stereo amd the rest to my kicker mono amp. Ive had mine since about 2018 and use it all the time here in the oilfield cranked up loud all day and no issues.

Could the noise produced by the power supply or the components on the PC or noise from ground? When I power it with 19V laptop brick it produces very little noise.
