The Way of the Roses is a 170 mile route from Morecambe bay on West coast (Irish sea) to Bridlington on the East Coast (North sea) of England.
The route follows cycle paths and quiet country roads.
I was very surprised with just how beautiful the country side in Lancs and Yorkshire way, exceeded my expectations.

Amazing, just watched the whole video in 1 go. Incredible in that time on a fold up bike. Fair play to both of you. Always pushing boundaries and inspiring others. Well done 👏
Cheers Darren,
This was an epic adventure across some really beautiful countryside. I didn't think Yorkshire could be so beautiful. Really enjoying the health benefits that cycling brings too.
I hope to get to the Prepper meet this year, so hopefully catchup there
Sandy
Good to see you here funkyprepper!
That’s incredible to do that on 3 speed Bromptons ! Well done to you both
Your off your head Sandy, fair play to you both
Haa you would have loved it Nobby:)
Well done Dave and Sandy. The British countryside at its best. Good on you both.
Bravo the pair of you ! Brilliantly put together, I'm amazed that you found the time to film as you cycled. Thanks for making this most enjoyable vlog. You'll really enjoy The wild Atlantic way ! 👋👋👋 p.s I have Brompton too.
Well done you two! That was quite a challenge with 3 speeds but there is always the lowest gear, your legs.
I follow Suzanna Thornton, Miriam Kennedy and Terry's all bikes on their travels with their Bromptons. Small bike but big adventures.
I think part of the appeal is being able to easily take them on public transport. This opens up all sorts of possibilities.
Every time I need to take my bike on a train I can't but think it would be easier if it was a Brompton.
Thanks for the video Sandy also to Dave for suggesting the ride.
Ironically, I'm watching this in my tent, on my first solo camp at Butt Farm, Beverley. Thanks for the inspiration Sandy x
Haaha, you are in the right place Andy, We actually started our journey from Beverley, caught the train from there to Morcambe. Yorkshire is a lovely county for sure

England is so beautiful, and some of those lovely old villages are amazing. I could never live in a town or city [any longer]... The downs must have felt glorious, all that cool air on your skin? Great video, and welcome to club 60 Dave.....
It was an absolutely lovely ride Bry, even the hills, we just took our time and enjoyed the moments and the warmth from Mr Solarface:)

Awesome adventure thanks for taking us along…. Those Bromptons are amazing little bikes… zero mechanical issues not even a puncture …WOW!! And you really lucked out on the weather as well, it looked beautiful…. Again thanks for sharing your adventure 👍👍
I think the stars aligned on this trip Dave
Excellent.
Bloody good effort.
And, as always, thanks for taking us along, always appreciate you letting us join in.
Ps, I meant to mention, if you need water bottles filling up whilst biking, running, backpack etc, church yards invariably have a tap on a wall somewhere for all the flowers on the graves.
Rembered that when I saw your camp in the church yard and you said about topping up your water.
A bit of a tip that not alot of folk are aware of.
Fantastic effort chaps, very well done!
Hi Sandy, Congratulations to you and Dave for completing a great adventure. You even picked a few great days to do the ride, the sun was making the scenery extra wonderful. Good to see you both loving your Brompton bikes. Glad to see you weren’t dead beat at the end ,to 🚴♂️🚴♂️.
Really enjoyed this ride Charles, the scenery is stunning and provided we didn't push too hard it wasn't that difficult. If I had the time I would have cycled back home:)

Great one Sandy, you can't beat good company, superb scenery and your jokes alone the way.
Thanks Kerry, we had a good laugh
As a Yorkshire man it was nice to hear you liked Yorkshire. Keep up the good work 🚴🚴🚴
Amazing views of England. I see those stone fences and think about generations of farmers picking up rocks and moving them on an ox drawn sled to build it like my grandparents did. Another epic adventure cross country.
Can't wait to watch this Sandy! A great adventure!
Brilliant cycle ride. There is something about a long bike ride that really does hit the reset button.I have just completed the Leeds Liverpool Canal towpath run 127 miles, was great.
@@johnpawson7400 sounds great! Lots of history I'm sure.
What an absolutely fantastic video. I used to live in Boroughbridge and would frequent Ripon and Studley Royal so this takes me back. Thank you for showing us this route - I will definitely be doing it!
Brilliant well done the pair of you
Happy birthday Dave .🎉 You got a fantastic mate there ❤
Brilliant. Well done chaps.
Well done. I really enjoyed this video. The Brompton is a versatile bike indeed even with 3 speeds. A touch of Susannah Thorntons type of adventure. Even better with the company of a mate. Happy Birthday.
Fantastic! Well done indeed!
Fantastic video gave me my mojo back and getting my 1st brompton after years on my wishlist
Great stuff,
The Brompton is such a versatile little bike, I use it often for shopping trips at which it excels. Hoping to do some more Brompton bike packing later this year too
Lovely relaxing viewing. Good luck with the wild Atlantic Way.
So enjoyed watching you and Dave cycle/push up those steep hills, great fun going down, was with you all the way to the bottom. Superb video thanx for letting me join you, so sad i wasn't with you both, experiencing the adventure for real.

Well done Dave and Sandy, what an epic journey and all on the wee Brompton. Thanks as always for going to the trouble of filming this journey and all the joking and banter. Here's to the next one, maybe off road on the southern upland way which links Portpatrick in the west and Cockburnspath in the east via the hills of the Southern Uplands. But not on the Brompton's. Thanks again ATB Big Dave
That sounds like an epic adventure Dave, as you say not for the Bromptons though:)
A wonderful, inspirational film 👌I know most of that route well... some brutal hills on any non ebike.
Well done both, TFS cheers Alistair 👍

Get yourself a pushbike Chris:)
Brilliant adventure. Those Bromptons are capable little things. Heavy, but sturdy. Looks like you both enjoyed it, even the hills.

Congratulations to you both and of course the Bromptons.
One of your best vids yet Sandy...atb..from a fellow bike tourer(non electric of course😉)
A thoroughly enjoyable video ..Dave and yourself has a great adventure..stunning views throughout and perfect wild camp pitches, though the graveyard would not have been for me lol...very best wishes and happy 60 to Dave.
