Old or new, which one do you like more? Well the good thing is that both of them offer great thrills. Being a modern product, the Scorpio-N is a great buy if you have the budget. The Safari Storme on the other hand has average resale value which means you can land yourself a good car at a bargain!

Tata Safari storme should make a comeback. Design is op. Technical changes can be done with modern touch. G-wagon and Land cruiser doesn't change the design much but with improve engine and other technical aspect. It still looks dope.

Nowadays I have seen there is too much discussion on Tata Safari Storme consistently, so my request to Tata is to bring back the older Muscular look of Safari and please change the name of current generation Safari because it seems too odd to call a duck looking crossover named of older Off-road king.

Really saddened by the fact that the REAL SAFARI WITH 4WD has been replaced by a mid size crossover (Gravitas).
Tata is just selling a crossover at 20-30 lakhs and justifying it by telling 4wd would increase the cost drastically.
Mahindra simply proved tata wrong by providing the cheapest mid size SUV with 4wd under 20 lakhs. (z4 4wd).
There are a lot of problems with mahindra but one fact which no one can deny is that they are still true to their legacy of REAL SUVs.
You’re right. And people are still buying 4x4s in good numbers. Of course the sales of 2WD SUVs are very high, but the number of enthusiasts is also increasing and off-roading as a hobby is gaining popularity more than ever before. Tata has the capability of launching a budget off-roader in the 20 lakh segment, I hope they do that sometime!

I also own a varicor 400 4x4.
Departure angle of Storme is an issue. That rear part is very fragile and costs around 10k. I have been a victim of that departure shock.

Safari Storme challenges the driver and the terrain. Scorpio helps the driver with electronics to challenge the terrain.
Rightly said. Driving the Scorpio-N is easier due to all the electronics which is a good thing. The Safari Storme requires much more driver skill and that isn’t a bad thing too. Skills > electronics

Real hard to decide which one did better! Both SUVs are capable but what I noticed is Scorpio was easy to manoeuvre as compared to storme and again Scorpio N braking seemed to be more perfect. Articulation felt same in both but Scorpio N surpassed storme at 16:00 where safari struggled when cross axles came into play.
Scorpio N looks more urbanic with decent interiors, electronics and handling, storme looks like a raw and ready to go off-road vehicle.
Both vehicles are compatible and it's good to have such great car manufacturers in the country.
Personally I'm more inclined towards safari but Scorpio N is no less either.
Yes Scorpio N is very capable but I think we shouldn't say it has surpassed for that particular point.....Scorpio N maintained the momentum on its own...but as Safari was fully manual, it needs momentum which the driver couldn't provide....if it was driven with proper momentum, it would've climbed as it did later.
We shouldn't forget that scorpio-N is today's generation car but safari belong to that generation when peaple believed in car and their capabilities and not on electronics . Safari is raw and scorpio N is modern while driving safari the skills of driver matter alot steering is heavy as af but while driving scorpio skills required are minimal as electronic are there to help.
@@kanuproy9017 It was due to the MLD in Scorpio-N, I think Safari didn't come with diff-lockers.
Mostly this is bcoz of the scorpio N comes with traction control. Which powers the wheels with traction..
There is no traction control system in safari storme.

@@seven6094 😂😂😂 ground clearance is same , scorpio n real ground clearance is 210 mm , as shown in Australian launch website as well, in india mahindra under report ground clearance, heck they prove Thar is not a suv to save tax, earlier in old scorpio too they under report ground clearance ! There is a video on youtube to prove that, most of the cars shows unladen ground clearance but mahindra always report laden one !
Moreover i am comparing the power and 4*4 ability of the car and u are comparing a limitation which actually is not that bad even 😂 says a lot 👍

You know what I drove a Safari storme and Scorpio N; I found the Safari suspension was far better than Scorpio N despite being vintage and no electronic. But Scorpio N in terms of features superb.

Both cars are awesome. But there are lots of features for off-road in Scorpio N like traction control, hill descent control , terrain modes apart from 4x4. STORME needs to be relaunched with all modern features, aur phir dekho iska dum.

when it comes to suv then there is no company in the entire world which manufactures such great suv with solid built quility and performance oreinted ,rough and tough engines in an unbeatable price. mahindras jeep and pickup trucks are the most underated vehicles they are the life lines of hilly states , and the north east region. Mahindra has a super line up of diesel suv which no other company can match. keeping the pricing in mind.
I won't say in world but atleast in India it's True and some peaple overglorify jimney as hardcore offroader just coz it's global . Mahindras are known to hv dna of offroading plus they are reliable. Even in some rural villages u can find mm50 , marshals used as passenger mover till today . Scorpio and bolero are preferred in rural areas for their reliability and low maintenance. Suzuki has just given gypsy but mahindra has given offroaders like mm50 , cj Jeep and thar along with peaple favourite Scorpio and bolero

We will praisr the vw for its gdi but very few know that the same technology of direct injection is used by mahindra in both petrol and diesel. In 10 lakh you get a vehicle like bolero neo 7 seater ,rear wheel drive, body on frame ,and manual lock differential. It can compete with a suv double its price.
