ABOUT BROOKLYN NINE-NINE
"Brooklyn Nine-Nine" follows the exploits of hilarious Det. Jake Peralta (Andy Samberg) and his stoically ever-professional captain, Raymond Holt (Andre Braugher), along with their diverse, lovable colleagues as they police the NYPD's 99th Precinct. In this final season of the series, Jake and the squad must try to balance their personal lives and their professional lives over the course of a very difficult year.
Rounding out the ensemble is Sgt. Amy Santiago (Melissa Fumera), who has a passion for organization and a weakness for dork dancing; Lt. Terry Jeffords (Terry Crews), a mountain of a man whose most powerful muscle is his sweetheart; Jake's best friend and human puppy dog, Det. Charles Boyle (Joe Lo Truglio); and the incredibly secretive, tough-as-nails Rosa Diaz (Stephanie Beatriz). Also part of the Nine-Nine are veteran officers Det. Scully (Joel McKinnon Miller) and Det. Hitchcock (Dirk Blocker), whose only skill as police officers is their ability to make a passable pot of coffee.
Created by Emmy Award-winning writer/producers Dan Goor and Michael Schur, "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" won the 2014 Golden Globe Awards for Best Television Series - Comedy or Musical and Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series - Comedy or Musical (Samberg). Emmy winner Braugher earned four Emmy nominations for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for his role as Capt. Holt.

Okay no. Unpopular opinion but I don't think Piemento should get a spin-off. If he's the main character, he'll go through character development.
He just gets more and more unhinged as a side character and that's what works for him.

I love Pimento. I really want to actually make a timeline for every single one of his bananas stories because his life sounds awesome yet also SO VERY STRESSFUL.
Pimento has been through a lot. No wonder he's so traumatized and broken.

I love Jason and Stephanie's chemistry as performers. Pimento/Diaz was a really good duo every time they're on screen. Their simultaneous look at Jake when Jake does his "these are the ground rules? Is there anything off limits?" line was just top notch. Of course their awkward interaction in the bullpen with Diaz signing his report as well. Pimento's grunt when she slaps it against his chest. Great comedy with them saying so few words.
I always found that grunt really hot…😳
1:54 I liked how Boyle and Nikolaj screamed when they see Pimento in closet😂, he definitely deserves his own spinoff.

U do know pimento is a made up character so even if u goto a live show to watch him it won't be the same, cuz pimento is all scripted crazy, but jason does play it good, so if he does this in his shows then ya it'd be great but that's not probably how he actually is in real life

We can have some guest cameos like Jake, Rosa, Terry, Boyle, Amy, some mention of Hitchcock & scully.
Finally holt doing some noble sacrifice and they all attend his funeral.
Shocking plot twist he was murdered and for an entire season the squad with pimento and Rosa track down the killer.
Also Jake becomes a PI.
Now jake needs to be a stay at home dad who tries to come back and help with this last case.
This comment is either very tongue in cheek, or in extremely poor taste considering Andre Braugher aka captain Holt actually sadly passed away only ~1yr ago.
That 16:36 bit gets me so much, such a simple bit, but its so perfectly delivered with that gross tone for a gross sentence.

The premise for the spinoff is how he got that way like it starts off with him as a stand up cop then his downward spiraling to what make him that way today. With flashes back and forth between time lines

I like Pimento as a character but I don't think he needs his own spinoff. I think episode after episode of his schtick would get tiring. I think his character is better in smaller doses.
I would love to see a Hitchcock and Scully spin off but the show takes place back in the 80s when they were awesome.

Spin off should be Mashup of Pimento who goes deep cover but turns out he's always been impersonating a cop as Rafi from the League.
You couldn't do a spin off of a crazy character. It wouldn't work. You need the crazy character to tone down the main character. A Pimento spin off would be too insane.
Yeah. His Rafi character in The League gets three whole episodes to himself, and yeah they are 110% crazy and just way too much by the end of them. Basically cartoons (one was animated actually)
