  • James is 'haunted' by a trickster 'poltergeist' live on Zoom, in response to comments made by Steve. Steve gives a full explanation of why James is being 'haunted', in terms of psychodynamic information transduction from dissociation, through to psychosomatic 'ailments', and finally, into an exteriorisation phenomenon, as described by Jung.

    I’ve had something similar happen, but it was at my great grandparents home. Bolted doors would open, faucets turn on, and dimes would show up in places they weren’t before; under doorways, under the fridge, on kitchen pots, in my shoes, in my pockets (I never use change, I only ever use my credit/debit cards) my great grandfather always gave me dimes as an additional hello whenever we’d get together.

    Somewhat off topic but I have had the theory that what humans have perceived as demon possession is actually some sub-personality(not sure if that's the right word) or part of the unconscious coming forward to expression and the experience from both the person and those around them is that this is another person controlling them, so the evil spirit explanation was the most logical to people through history, and the process of exorcism and or ritual has some way of putting things back in order in the subconscious. Is there any validity to this idea?

    This is so interesting. Will need to re-listen several times to have it sink in. I’ve always these situations happen ALOT in my family, especially my family in Colombia. Ps. Can I vote somewhere for a new 🎤 it’s a little echó-y or with a lot of treble makes it a bit challenging to listen/focus, maybe it’s just me but if there’s a un official poll I submit my vote ✋😊 hehe

    Oh my, I was just watching another video where you all were talking about the trickster and poltergeists, and I was going to ask for more on this topic. And here it is! But still-- talk more on the trickster please and give us an update! Also can you compare this to psychosis.... for example someone hearing voices telling them to kill someone. Is that the trickster out of balance, or something else entirely?

    This was incredible! James is now a resident of the Supra-World.
    I've been reading about Jung in his much later years when he started to aim towards the UNUS MUNDUS or Psychoid Consciousness, where the spiritual/psychological/material borders completely dissolve. We keenly possess this as children before ego-consciousness solidifies material reality. Anecdote: At approx. 7 years old, I remember taking a bath at early dawn, in near-perfect darkness. The house is a silhouette of itself, it's clearly there but seems less obvious that I am ; the water becomes the new reality, transmogrifies from a simple tub into the Primordial Ocean (or maybe, in hindsight, the womb of the Great Mother). The first beams of sunlight spear in through the doorway and, suddenly, I'm enveloped in the feeling that I am experiencing The Beginning, not of time or the universe, mind you.....but something greater, yet ineffable.
    Over the years, I believe I've disappointed the Unconscious/The Gods with many of my actions (or in most cases, inaction), so converse to James being directly confronted by it/them, I've been inadvertently pushing it/them away.

    This is brilliant; treat the trickster archetype with respect and intention. Trickster can make see your own back as you are viewing the front. It can feel insane, but it has a great purpose, treat it with respect, or it can take you out

      Hi @afribeanner, yes indeed it does. James has had a lot more experience of 'receiving' the 'Trickster' function, through parapsychological phenomenon, since this video was made. He's a lot more comfortable in understanding how the 'field' of the extended-minds', 'self-regulation' operates, and as such, he can adjust his filed-interactions more effectively. Its a deep journey into the psyche, and a steep learning curve. Kindest Regards, Steve. 🙏

    Dude, this is just so awesome! What was the inspiration for the theory or of the thought that the poltergeist is really just a self-made phenomenon made by the psyche? Basically, my question is how he discovered it. And I know it wasn't a thought but an experience that led him to this realisation. Must have some balls to go to such a deep level, literally venturing the unknown, for the EGO ofc. I do wonder if you guys teach this stuff as well in your course? If it even is a course, sounds more like a degree, if there even is a difference lol

  • @1yanyiel
    @1yanyiel Před 3 lety +23

    At what state does the unconscious have to be in to externalize into the physical world like that? And how common is it? Steve talks about it as if it is the most normal thing of the unconcious 😂

      That's a good quesion, like how intense does the interior battle have to be before it resorts to that manifestation ? Plus we could clearly hear it getting louder the longer the video got, and the closer to the source of the problem that Steve seemed to be getting. I'd love and answer to that @JungToLiveBy

    • @JungToLiveBy
      @JungToLiveBy  Před 2 lety +9

      We have discussed this in some other videos, and it’s a regular in our training courses as students soon find that their increasing depth of natural engagement with the psyche facilitates so-called parapsychological phenomenon. We’re having an online seminar with Dr Rupert Sheldrake this evening as an exclusive for IPSA/JTLB which will cover this topic. Kindest Regards, Steve 🙏

I love how James and Pauline are so casual about the haunting of Jimmyboyo! That’s the way to approach it! 😂😂😂Anyway you can’t really tell people this stuff.. you sound crazy.. they have to experience it for themselves and then hopefully cope with it..

    Ive had many momments in my life where id physically be talking to myself or someone and a voice, childlike, feminine, and even masculine will complete my sentence or will annouce itself into the conversation where the other person i was talking to also heard so i know its not some psychosis. I sometimes hear someone speak when i am alone as well, or moving objects or taps and creeks. Interesting.

Every time I go for a walk with my dog outside, light posts turn on or off when I walk under them and I’m not sure what to make of it. I’m not saying that what I’m experiencing is this phenomenon necessarily but I do wonder.

    The Enfield Poltergeist was much worse, some people say that Poltergeist occur mostly around young people especially females,as in the case of the Enfield Poltergeist,the name of the girl around which the Poltergeist activity was centered was Janet.
    Strangely enough the psychic investigator who took the case Maurice Grosse had a daughter who died in a accident aged 16 her name was Janet.

    That's honestly so crazy, I thought the wind was someone blowing into the audio at first lol. Scary but also really awesome, I've probably had my own experience If I think about.
    I know when I was much younger I thought my parent's dark bedroom was haunted. Nightmares, waiting out pain from injuries there, some fear of my parents, generally being not allowed to go in there, fake roman pottery( I'm mostly Italian ethnically so it related ancestry), and ect., all things that might have had something to do for transference. I remember you saying how the poltergeist is sort of a trickster figure, and for years when I would have to go into their room to fetch something I would make jokes to the "ghosts" so I wouldn't upset them(with a mixture of wanting to respect them). Adding on to that point, one day I decided there were no ghosts, and I started roasting the shit out of them as I was walking by because if they didn't exist they couldn't do anything, and since they couldn't do anything they didn't exist. I then went up to the huge mirror in the room and made a few more intentionally disrespectful remarks, and I moved my chin backwards and then towards the mirror blowing air out of my nose, the same thing you would do if you were to spit I guess but I wasn't thinking about it much. I specifically remember saying a sentence with the words "not real", and then, when I blew out of my nose I blew out blood which spattered all over my own reflection. My heart was racing after that. Being a reasonable individual, I made a complete 180, backpedaled, and slowly inched out of the room apologizing lol. A pretty fucked joke to pull on an 8 year old, or a sign, I don't even know.
    (finished typing this and heard my mother in the room next to me saying, "they had trouble sleeping", "its hard to be a little kid", "that's so funny", "You have a fun house wish I could visit and go back in time", to a friend of hers. Not too sure about any conclusions but odd timing haha).
    ((Okay I opened Instagram and I immediately saw a meme involving a ghost, then I opened another social app where I saw my friend had said one sentence with the word "cursed" in it, yea I don't what's going on anymore.))
