I just can't thank you enough for this tutorial and all the amazing other content on your channel. I highly appreciate you taking the time and energy to provide us with the pdf notes too, and that too completely free. I'll definitely share your channel to my class mates who want to learn piano.

Hi again, I commented about not being able to see the keys being used when I first tried learning, I was wrong. Thank you for doing this, it’s the perfect speed to learn and is what h is be been using to learn this one.
I just need to hear it and then add the emphasis to where I want it.

First, for some reason this song captured my brain. Not only have I watched numerous versions of it, I hear it in my head daily, lol. I think the opening chord progression is the hook and brings a question. I saw another piano tutorial briefly before I seemingly lost it forever but he played the opening chords using inversions so that the lowest note of each chord went in descending order B, A#,A,G#G,F#, E. I play, by ear, for my own enjoyment, on a Yamaha Clavinova so I can get a fuller more pleasing sound. I struggled with the above mentioned inversions as my fingers just didn't want to cooperate. I have gotten fairly good with using the root chords in all my playing and the inversions are difficult because of muscle memory. I think there is a subtle but noticeable difference playing the inversions instead of the root chords. I think it's because the of the imposing guitar chords working their way down leaves an imprint on your brain that the root chords can't satisfy. This is the problem with playing by ear in that you are driven to reproduce as closely as possible the original sound in order to be satisfied. I liked and subscribed just to try to get you to respond with your thoughts. Great video, thanks, SP

Hi thank you for sharing your insights. I normally use root chords to make it simpler for my audience and try to keep it consistent. Inversions are used in some videos but rarely. True, playing by ear for a cover might need that accuracy. But for my tutorials, I really have play around and making it simpler as possible.

Hi thank you for doing hotel California, once of my favs. I do find it very difficult to follow your hands because the camera angle is directly overhead and some of your fingers are in position but not pressing the keys and I can’t tell which keys are being pressed. If there were any way to have the keys highlight similar to Pianote, that would be perfect. And if not, having the camera angle slightly off to the side would allow being able to see the actual key being pressed rather than having to figure It out by ear.
Again I appreciate your efforts and offer my opinion to make easier for us trying to learn it. Thanks
