This is great but resetting to defaults will turn off any XMP profiles(if applicable) for your ram’s max speed. Make sure you reenable your XMP profile in Bios if you do load defaults to get full use of your ram’s speed

Thanks for the video! I’m always weary of updating the BIOS and Gigabyte’s support pages didn’t make it any easier. I also realised for the update to read the file, I needed to plug my USB drive into the “BIOS USB” port on the back of the motherboard as no other ports would work. But I probably should’ve worked that out way earlier lol.
What if we don't have BIOS USB port? I'm stuck on this step as my drive is not getting listed in the dropdown in the Q-Flash. EDIT:- I came across another comment by @Anthony Szabo that the flash drive should be of fat32/16 file system. Mine was NTFS. Once I updated my drive file system to fat32, it worked. You can easily find a guide to update the file system.

If anyone's having problems updating from an older BIOS version to a more current one try first updating to version f-32 before downloading the other updates (for people struggling with the wrong bios image error)

One big thing to note, that took me a while to find. Depending on the bios version you have it may only recognize the update if the flash drive is formatted as fat32. Some later versions support ntsf. I spent more then an hour to find that out.
Hello, I'm sorry for the bothering you but been searching for a solution but none work so far but i cant update the bios of my old gigabyte motherboard(it's my brother's old pc) GA-F2A68HM-S1 (rev. 1.1). I already downloaded the update which i already made sure it's from the right version 1.1. When get to updating it, it always show *Invalid BIOS Image*. I've never updated any bios before since i never needed it but so far i've followed the proper procedure and still can't figure out what's the problem. Sorry for bothering you with this old DDR3 Mobo problem but i'm ready to give up and buy a replacement for it from my budget(which i'm saving to buy a DDR4 system). Ah, the reason why i want to update the bios is to replace the weak 2 core cpu with a better one, i already checked the compatibility so cpu is not the problem it's brand new anyway. I couldn't understand what your saying when restarting the computer sounds like your saying smash the dell button to get to the bios loading screen.. I don't have a dell button, if I hit delete it will take me to the regular bios..
Nice Video !! But you dont need all the 4 files, just the bios file, in this case the .33j file. Also there other ways to update the bios like the q-flash plus and @bios that you dont mention.

Mine Just start to restart and even did,t goto the bios 😢 can you help i tried everything removed the bettery with a screwdriver touched the cmos and nothing also put 1 ram to check the ram nothing.... 😢
Very odd. I saved my new bios to flash, then when I restarted my computer and entered bios, it said I cleared cmos? I didn't do anything other then hit delete to get in the bios settings. I have never seen that message when going into the bios.. it showed xmp was now off. I updated the new bios and will turn on xmp again. Very odd.
I have a Z370 AORUS gaming 7 motherboard. Suddenly the USB ports stopped working, first time I got around it reinstalling Windows, but it happened again and idk what to do, I’ve tried everything. Now that I’m updating the BIOS to see if that can fix it, it shows a message: Invalid BIOS Image even though I downloaded from the Gigabyte website :(
I did exactly this and after it was done it won’t boot into windows, it’ll freeze and won’t do anything, I can still access the bios and enter into safe mode, I’ve tried reset the cmos and downgrade the bios but nothing has worked.

Every time I update my bios to F33 on x570 Master 1.2, it gets stuck on the restart. Screen goes black and all the fans run at 100%. The only thing I can do it shut off the power supply. Case and motherboard power buttons do nothing. Anyone know of a fix?

so if i have overclocks and certain settings in the bios, they will be put back to default (overclocks, XMP etc) and i will need to do it over again?

Your Motherboard is probably bricked (broken) since the power button doesn't work.
