Hairdryer the sheath edge then stand on it and the retention problem is solved. It works great. I'd leave it to cool properly before you insert it into the sheath again though.
14C28N is much much tougher than vg10, although it doesnt hold and edge as long, but the difference there isnt big. 14C really competes with the toughest super steels tbh, and its much tougher than any of the commonly used high carbon steels
@@Butch_Deezlsteak Yes it is, 1070 cant even begin to compare to 14c28n. Check out knifesteelnerds ratings, he has a phd in metallurgy and scientifically tests steel properties like toughness, edge retention, corrosion resistance.

No it isn't lol. It's not tougher than many of the high carbon steels like 1070, 1080, 80crv2 etc.
