This young man is so humble despite his fast and new fame. I like how kids say things as they are while us adults can't get our head around the fact that we are all human beings no matter the colour of our skin. We could learn a lot from our children if only we took their views seriously. I get upset and I hate seeing racist comments here on CZcams, (or anywhere else for that matter) because being humans means we all look different, feel different, doing things a different way and have our own precious life stories to share which can make a difference to someone's life. I believe that having the opportunity to share ones journey and to listen to another person's life journey is a privilege and such a great way to learn from each other. Eleven years ago when I was 32 my specialists gave me two years at the most. The diagnosis was based on sound knowledge and there are so many complications however I now get to teach medical staff, students, new doctors, nurses etc because I have a unique medical history including times that medical personnel have saved my life many times. I had no discernible pulse and I was bleeding out and they couldn't put a line in to pump blood into me. The doctors told my parents to say goodbye as the chances of me surviving were slim. It just so happened that a young doctor was visiting from America (I live in New Zealand) and he had been doing a lot of research on a new proposed but not medically legal technique to get a line in to give me the blood I needed to live, (if you are someone who donates blood thank you so much because of you I am alive now just like countless others) and he saved my life that day. There is no logical explanation as to why I'm still here but I know God has a reason. The hardest part for me was that I had to give up being a primary school teacher and a solo foster Mum. I felt like my purpose disappeared and I needed to search inside myself to come to terms with accepting that small things that I can say and do can make a positive difference to strangers lives. It can be something as small as a smile and other when I go to hospice each week there is always a patient or family member that needs an understanding ear. I've shared part of my life story in the hope that others will do the same. If you have read all my waffling how about sharing a part of your life story so that we can all learn from each other.
