We have to have all our vehicles inspected every year (Over 3 years old) and if they fail you cannot use them on our roads until repaired and re-inspecfted.!!! Suspect there are vary many "unroadworthy" vehicles using US roads every day and no doubt causing accidents/crashes/deaths. OK that's a decision that your country has decided to take but there must be many such accidents/deaths which could have been avoided if problems had been properly dealt with. As usual your abilities in repairing such vehicles is miraculous and I am sure you have contributed to the health of both your customers and their vehicles over the years. Keep up the good work!!! Stay safe and well.

After he got it running he found, to his dismay, that the transmission was destroyed. I’m guessing it had one of these constant mesh four-speeds in it cause it worked fine when I drove it. Expensive lesson learned, I guess.

I had a 1986 Saab 900 that had a 5 speed, I loved that it just took regular 40 weight. Weird car for sure, but no frills on the liquids lol.

You mentioned that this truck needed to be towed with rear wheels off the ground,or drive line disconnected, that reminded me of the old Military GMC trucks they had way back when. They had a special transfer disconnect lever in the cab that had to be latched in disconnect position,or towing would take out the fluid coupling that drove the transmission.I have changed out several fluid coupling s because operator forgot to latch out the disconnect lever.

Lol @ "scuzzy greaseball" Eaton trans. Nice work with those snap ring pliers. Enjoying this series, and boy does it bring back a slew of memories with that chip truck I used to work on and drive when I was with the tree service company. Just the POV view of the gauges and that big goofy steering wheel was such a flashback. Lol. Looking forward to the next installment on this thing. Go Wes! 👍😎
