Hey awesome review, have you driven macan turbo? Interested to know if macans ride quality better and not crashing on rougher roads
Thank you Romas! I haven't tried a Macan yet, but I would expect that the S Class has a better ride. The crashing isn't a major issue, it's just a bit of a thud over certain bumps which surprises you as it's so smooth otherwise.
If you still want to know, I drove a Macan on air suspension and the ride was fantastic - there was very little roll in the car for an SUV but it was still very supple. Not quite as smooth as the S-Class over rough surfaces though.

Yes, this is a 2017 S500 - I think the same car was called the S550 in some markets outside the UK

I was driving exactly this car for 1 year and forget about it. The worst car I ever had. Yes the styl and Interieur is super looking and yes it has a nice torque. But from 50kmh up to max. speed it was shaking...3 diffrent MB Services were not able to find the mistakes, only trouble with that car. The white leather is nice looking but a bad quality, specially after some time. At the end the dealer had to take this very expensive pice of bad german quality back.
...and the brembo brakes are very bad....needed to change them 3 times in 30.000km...mb knows about that problem
That's very interesting, thanks for the comment. I guess they don't make them like they used to - I've reviewed a 1963 190C which was like the day it left the factory.
...I understand that this car is really phantastic looking and driving at the first moment...only after some time the mistakes are seen, the engine had earlier problems with the camshaft chain, and even after the changing it in modell 2015, the engine had problems with the motronic...mb wanted to make an update 08/2020 for the software...I dont know if it happend....the driver seat was not moving in front after only 14000km, wind sounds on the lefr window. And it was an full option car with new price around 165.000€!!!!
