Akribis Leather tool belts was started by Luke Riemer out of a dire need to find a tool belt that could perfectly suit his specific needs. After years of searching he started the process of testing and building his own rigs.
Akribis tool belts are built by carpenters for carpenters on the principles of efficiency, diligence and curiosity. Premium hand crafted tool belts that have been through scorching sun, intense rain, mud and snow. They’ve been driven over, ripped into, yanked on and tossed around.
Building houses and belts out of Summerland BC in Canada, it’s in our DNA to continue to evolve and improve in every way we can with Luke at the helm.

I'm a first year carpenter and I have a occidental belt, it's a great belt but far from my ideal set up and after finding your page on Facebook had me thinking "Maybe I should check these belts out" but after watching this video twice I am definitely going to be getting a set up from you next. Already got my oxies but that metal clip for the tape measure in my opinion is what the occidentals are missing ..as well as that divider for your frsming pocket to organize it genius

Really like the thought put into these belts! Would you ever consider putting the tape on the right side for carpenters who like it there so you wouldn't have to make a custom order for just for that?
no plans for that sorry.. however, a tape can be put in the outer right bag and the "tape" pocket on the left could be used for a chalk line.
Could you do an updated video showing off the new products? It's hard to get an idea from just the pictures on the site

for your custom tool belts, what kinds of things do people usually get customized? i’m having a hard time imagining what you’d need to change about these bags to make them any better!
Usually Laser engraving, custom colour schemes and sets designed for people with mix handedness.

Great design and beautiful leather work. I wold like to use some of those d ring clips in a none related project. I can’t find any information about them anywhere, are they a custom design? If so would you be open to selling me a few of them.

Does B max have to be worn w suspenders ? I know they are ideal but say I'm not fully loaded out with kit and want to still use the B max belt that day. Will it sit right without suspenders ?

D1 and L2 bags are a good fit.

They could be clipped on but won’t fit inside.

Serious question that needs some considerable amount of thought. Hand held tools that was ever carried out in the field such as guns, knives and other handheld tools was canceled in such away for travel and still being able to use on the fly. Why they in a holster so it dont get lost moving around, cant be nothing worse then losing the tool you need. For centuries the holster have been proven to work why didnt they put a belt clip on the tool? Because it was a silly noticition to think that something clipped on would stay put. Not one manufacturer today make a pouch with designed drill holster on the dominant side of the pouch like the western days. Also tools like hammer built around that holster shape

nice leather work man sweet as all hell...but i see you never been up 30ft walking a 2x4 with fully load bags trying to fit between 16 on center floor or walk studs joist.the fiber glass rod ya thats great if your a groundhog..up in the sky we like the shit tight to da body.if ya cant move well life sucks.as a sky lord of the frame
I’ve owned and run my own concrete and framing company and built over 300 homes over the past 24 years.. defiantly been around the block when working at height and like the way these perform.. however, if they’re not your jam that’s fine, to each their own.👍
These are killer looking tool belts with a spot for every tool and more interested in buying one but the only downfall is the placement of the tape would you guys custom but a bag and put the tap where occidential puts theirs??on the right

I see a lot of made by carpenters for carpenters comments. I've been building custom houses for over 40 years. anytime i came close to wearing something that cumbersome was when i was young and dumb. First thing I would do is cut off all those metal loops and hooks, their dangerous. I use a belt and one bag and a hammer holster, thats really all you need
the reason i own a pickup truck is to carry my tools. the last thing i would do is empty my truck into a tool bag and carry it around all day! I realize there are some trades that need to carry specific thing that can be awkward, but for any type of woodworking that stuff is overkill. I can appreciate the craftsmanship they look amazing. I think i'm gonna order the belt
and put a lightweight nylon bag and a hammer holster on it. I'm not trying to be a hater, this is just my exprerience after 40+ years in the trenches
