► ► ABOUT MAGRIZA MADE ME COOK
The channel seeks to document and serve Africa's diverse food culture, one dish at a time as well as air other cultural and traditional stories that have never been documented. Magriza is slang for uGogo (Grandmother in isiNdebele) and the name of the show is derived from Prince's inspiration for falling in love with cooking; his grandmother.

    Good morning from The Bahamas.
The. Honourable Marcus Mosiah Garvey made this observation, "A People without the knowledge of their past history, origin, and culture, is like a tree without roots.".
He was the Jamaican who founded the Universal Negro Improvement Associatìon in 1916, in New York City, New York, United States of America.
According to research carried out by Scholars from the United Kingdom, Man has been on the Continent of Africa for over six million years. Obviously, he must have been doing something right, for, not only did he thrive, but, spread to populate the rest of the world. Mongoloids, and, Caucasoids are mutations of Negroids caused by the geographical conditions of the areas in which Man settled after leaving Africa.
Congratulations to the organisers of this event to revive their own culture, and hopefully, it will gain strength, and, spread to every corner of Africa.
    Thanks for recording it, Magriza.

oSabukho in Zimbabwe have fell to the wayside because they have all been politicised. The ones that refused are in exile so there's no maintenance of tradition, their job is to electioneer for ZanuPF. That's why culture is fast eroding in Zimbabwe and children at ECD level are being taught by amatshona from matshonaland.
