I was one of the 200(?) 2nd prize winners of that bionicle 3 sweepstakes! I lost my mind as a little 11yo boy! I didn't get the grand prize but I was still beyond stoked!
took about half an hour of nonstop redialing the number and I finally got an operator and gave them all the info they needed and about a month later I got the dvd and the white visorak for free.99!!
Still even have the generic letter it came with to congratulate on the prize. it was printed on some cool cartoon network stationary with a bunch of their popular characters at the time.
the guy who won the grand prize has said his mom scrapped the giant visorak for chump change because of the giant metal frame inside it. and the woman still holds it over his head because their taxes were fucked that year "thanks to him" lmfao. I hope the dude is doin well nowadays. but goddamn. some parents are just fuckin idiotic. that giant visorak statue made from lego would have sold for WAY more than what they scrapped it for even back then. NOW that thing would be worth low 5 figures easy...if it was still around
