The car is an 84 caprice classic coupe, my first car was an 85 caprice classic same color but 4 door. They do have seatbelts and while the gas cap is behind the license plate the gas tank is in the same position as pretty much all the older cars of that Era. Mine was beautiful and I had it in high school in 2004 and the chick's all wanted to drive it and loved it not even joking they loved that beautiful boat
I had a 4 door 86 Caprice Classic and it had the gas tank behind the license plate and it had seatbelts, it was my first car and I loved it so much.
@Weedy_McWeedy I've had Cadillacs but I'm tellin u that Caprice is still the smoothest car at 60mphs that I've ever driven. Ud never even know how fast u were going in those things til u looked at the speedometer. Even when I put mine on some 100 spoke Daytons it still glided like a yacht in calm waters. To this day i wish I never sold it. U also would never think females would like that boxy beast but so many chick's at my school wanted to ride or drive it, I had a chick one time offer to roll around completely naked if she could drive it, I said "sure if I can touch as well as look" and she said "absolutely" needless to say I was happy to circle the block as many times as she wanted (she had huge cans too), after the drive she parked in the grocery store parking lot and I took her down in the backseat, it was amazing 😁
I recommend ya'll to everyone I can. Ya'll should have way more fans imo.

The diner scene. I live in the South, and we have a store/diner just like that, a few tables right in front of the shelves because they tried to cram a diner into an odds and ends store. It's downtown and has a very 50's feel, not by design, but because it's probably been there since the 50's. You can get all your fake flowers for grave decorating there, and penny candy, like horehound and liquorice that's probably also from the 50's. You just reach around or push the tables over if you want something behind them.
I died after the golden retriever scene. 😂😂😂

You can legally drink at 18 in Wisconsin if you are with your parents or legal guardians, so it is still state by state these days. Most states just go by the federal age, but they don't have to.

While the movie is set in Oklahoma, it's definitely wasn't filmed there. Oklahoma is completely flat, while there are hills and mountains shown in the movie.
Legit, I have a Golden Retriever who was raised by German Shepherds, TERRIFYING. Like she thought I was a burglar once, and I saw death. Luckily she recognized me in time.

Is Missouri actually that bad? I was born there but left at 6 and whenever I visit it's always nice. Driving through any border state to get to Missouri always makes those states seem way worse.
Missouri is ranked as one of the 5 worst states to live in the Union. It has a very high crime rate, low access to healthcare, and fairly bad education. 19% of the population is below the poverty line
I left the KC area about 5 years ago and don’t miss it even a little. I raised my kids on the Kansas side and it had it’s good points, for sure. Like with everything, it depends what you enjoy. Back before we hated each other so much, it used to be a strength of the States that we have lots of different types of places to live.
