    Owning a 365, the wall light in the garage has to be my favorite addition to this series. Such a simple, yet needed thing. We ended up putting a battery light on the bottom of the bunk. Also the 3 season wall! The expanded solar package was another MUST that I'm glad they did with those giant 12V fridges. I like the outside cooker. I wish ours had that.
    Road mode... at storage, we cannot deploy the stable steps for the main door. Our solution for access in storage for cleaning etc is to enter via the garage and open the main slide with the one-control app. Problem solved.
    Regarding the auto-leveling, ours is prepped. Would it be useful? Yeah! But if the cost of adding the kit increased the cost of the camper by a similar amount, I'll gladly save the money. I was going to add it, but the cost was 1/2 again more than we were expecting. Even with DIY install.
    If only we could convince them on the 3rd air argument. And get them to double the grey tank size under the shower.
    We REALLY wanted the 345, but they took FOREVER to get from the website to the dealer lots. Ended up being offered a really solid deal on the 365 and went with that instead.

    Seeing it's a Toy Hauler I really understand not having the auto level by default. I think if you are always taking out your toys (if you are always bringing toys) you may can not really do auto-leveling until they are out, because you will need to adjust again after they are out. All that being said I would just add it knowing how I will the majority of the time use it.

    We own a 2023 345pack14.5. These are the things we'd change. 1. Put a full stereo back in with bluetooth as an option. Bluetooth only is fine when you have signal and can stream. For boondocking out in the woods, sometimes we just want radio. 2. With the Everchill refrigerator, there needs to be an actual on/off switch. Even though you can turn the fridge off, if you disconnect the batteries and then re-connect, the fridge turns itself back on. 3. Add a flip-up cabinet extension for more counter space while cooking. 4. there needs to be wireless charging or plugins up by the bed. And one side doesn't even get a shelf to place stuff.
    All in all, we do like the camper though.

      Yes, and no. When used as intended with something loaded in the back, the pin weight is dramatically reduced. We tow our similarly sized 365 with a 1-ton SRW and it does fine. Would we rather have a dually for peace of mind? Oh yeah. Have I ever felt unsafe with our SRW? No. I would say 1-ton required, dually recommended.

      @@vandersnickmcduffle7333 Don't know you SRW payload but my 2021 Ram 3500 SRW only has a payload of 3750 lbs. because of OEM options I guess (50 gallon tank, 5th wheel hitch, dual alternators, Cummings etc.) So safely using at max load or not I could only put myself, the wife and a glass of water in the truck before I was going over payload. Just that length alone scares me. But everyone's comfort level is a different bird.😳

    Hey Nerd, I am pleased to see manufacturers put more and more solar on their rigs. Which is great, but I also see the rush to change the fridges to 12V. Which seems to be encouraging people to be more "off Grid" But with the 12V fridge, solar is NOT going to be able to keep up with the demands. I don't know what is the rush to try to move from 2 way fridges to 12v. I'd love to know the percentage of campers that use "hook-ups" and how many "of US" that Dry camp. Just thinking out loud. I wouldn't want a NEWBIE, get out there thinking they're all ready to take on the world only to find out all their food went bad. Keep up the great work "NERD".

    • @JoshtheRVNerd
      @JoshtheRVNerd  Před rokem

      12v fridges cost less, hold more, and cool faster. Those are attractive benefits
      Without question they pull more juice. Presents a problem for off grid camping
      Some people swear the factory systems take care of their needs. Others find themselves battery dead quickly
      It’s all over the place and I don’t have all the info to fill in the blanks..

    • @sheputthelimeinthecoconut629
      @sheputthelimeinthecoconut629 Před rokem

      The cooker hooker is for cooking on cookers specific for the cooker hooker.
      The gas at the propanus is regulated. More than likely, your grill has a regulator and you are using an adapter hose. Therefor, it’s double regulated and doesn’t have a enough flow to light or get hot.

    • @JoshtheRVNerd
      @JoshtheRVNerd  Před rokem

      I have two initial thoughts:
      * you have a portable bbq that requires a high pressure LP system not provided by those cooker hookers
      * you need to flip the little lever on the hookup itself to allow the gas to flow
      Third thought: are other lp appliances working properly? I wonder if there isn’t air in the lines that needs bled out
      You can do that bulky lighting the largest burner in the stove and burning it hard until it quits spitting

    For a toy hauler this size, not having a third axle is a big mistake.

    • @vandersnickmcduffle7333
      @vandersnickmcduffle7333 Před rokem +3

      Owning a similarly sized 365, we wish it had a 3rd axle as well. However, it really gets along fine with 2 axles. It would be great for braking action. While the factory brakes have enough braking "Power", it would be nice to have two more tires worth of braking "traction". In other words, more tire contact means more deceleration ability before wheel lock-up. Stability wise, it really is quite stable. Even when overloaded, and towed with a SRW. 😉
      It's important to remember that the wolfpack series is more of a budget option. Real dealer lot sale pricing is 20K+ less than competition that has nicer finishes, triple axle, 3rd air, bigger tanks, auto-leveling, etc. When we were shopping there were alot of "WTF" moments when comparing this series, until we started factoring price into the overall picture.

  • @deanjasso174
    @deanjasso174 Před rokem

    Missing roof access ladder? It is a shame that they have cut out the ladder to access the roof, especially since keeping up with your warranty requires you to inspect your roof every 6 months. Also to check your slide outs before leaving a tree covered parking spot which debris will get on top of the slides and must be removed before closing the slides. And yes I know at a cost you can have slide Toppers installed but still need a ladder to access the roof. Maybe a problem with China not being able to get roof ladders in! Yes you can purchase a telescoping ladder to attach to the mounting bracket they give you but seems a little flimsy and definitely not safe.

      We had a custom mattress made. The factory one measures about 67x74. We were able to fit a 70x77x7. We could have gone with a 70x80 if we extended the wood under the mattress, but that would have ate into the walking space too much for our taste.
      You can’t go bigger than factory on a conventional mattress or bigger than 70w on a foam because of the wardrobe slide. However, the extra few inches of space and the deletion of the factory death wafer was well worth the $750 or so it cost.
