My favorite look of him. That slicked back hair and sunglasses look really cool. Also i like how he's humble, funny and patiently answered the questions... rest in peace beautiful man I love you
"I didn't break my neck so there's no excuse to not play" And I bet that if he had his neck broken he would still perform, kick ass and amaze all of us. Rest In Peace Layne (and Mike, obviously).
Everytime I see Layne in videos like this or whenever I hear his music, I'm reminded how to live my life. He had fun yet he wasn't a shallow ultra-materialistic person like most celebrities today. I think he came here to teach. God, I miss this man.
whatever nick youre missing my point, we all know how great an artist/musician he was but he shouldn't be hailed as a role model, he died due to his affliction and that should be a reminder to EVERYONE, don't fuck about with drugs, cos they will fuck u up in the end
He can very well be a role model! In fact, he's one of mine! Just because he was a drug addict, does not mean he's not a suitable role model, a hero, or a source of inspiration. That was my point, so you obviously missed my point as well. I'm willing to look past his affliction, to who he really was. He was a beautiful, kind, insightful, caring, intuitive person. The poor guy just had a huge problem he couldn't get past. If anything, he can be a role model for people to NOT do drugs. Now, don't get me wrong. I'm not saying that drugs are good by any means. It makes me so sad to see amazing people wound up in drugs and dying. You are right- don't fuck around with drugs, because the will fuck you up in the end. Straight from Layne himself: "I wrote about drugs, and I didn’t think I was being unsafe or careless by writing about them…When I tried drugs, they were fuckin great, and they worked for me for years, and now they are turning against me -and now I’m walking through hell, and this sucks. I know I'm near death, I did crack and heroin for years. I never wanted to end my life this way. I'm not using drugs to get high like many people think. I know I made a big mistake when I started using this SHIT. It's a very difficult thing to explain. My liver is not functioning, and I'm throwing up all the time and SHITTING my pants. The pain is more than you can handle. It's the worst pain in the world. Dope sick hurts the entire body.”
ye I remember that interview well, but there are many that wont, youngsters that listen to his lyrics and see videos of him talking about heroin and how great it is, are you happy? i'm man, content and fully aware, money status, nothing to me.....the sad fact is when he was singing these lyrics he wasn't a good role model. I get what you are saying, I think his voice and music were great, but the lyrics when you listen to them, were deep and sad, pitiful even. so he did some good things aside from drugs but ultimately he gave his life to heroin, and by the time he ahted it it was to late, so my point is this, he had a great talent but when he was successful and current he was a walking advert for heroin, he was, he loved it and he wanted everyone to know that. he was niave of course we know that know but back in the day kids would listen to his lyrics and think yeah heroin is cool, it gets you high, it makes u create great music and gets u success in life........... layne learnt the hard way this wasn't true, godbless him, im not a hater just being realistic, we all have our opinions, I get yours but this is mine
I am so shocked that Layne was so candid about his heroin use in this interview.. Most celebrities would never even answer that question . Many would get pissed at the interviewer for asking it.
You guys will never truly know him, unfortunately. How kind, soft spoken, and shy he was outside of his fame. I grew up around him around 1996-2002. Thanks to my asshole, father. I got to meet the guy who was in my life in the beginning, and although it was only 6 short years, he’s affected me more than anybody else. Yes, he watched over me a few times.. I had to see shit that I didn’t comprehend during that time. But I remember playing N64 on his huge flatscreen projector. Messing with drum beats in his minuscule studio. He had an option where if you hit a key, you’d hear an “Ow!, Oof”, or punch sound effect. Like you were beating the high hell out of someone. Layne and I were fond of the game Perfect Dark. We loved it for the same reasons too. Storyline, gameplay, and the music as well. I miss him everyday, and I’m fighting back tears thinking about it.
I wish Layne had recorded some audiobooks. His voice is very pleasant to listen to. The interviewer totally ignored Mike Starr...I hate that crap. You're interviewing both of them!
You can see him deteriorate watching concerts. He was a shell of his former self by 1996. They are one of the few bands I can listen to the whole album and not wanna change it.Hard to pick a favorite maybe Dirt.
Yeah, it's rare that bands have albums that are ALL good songs. I wonder what happened? It's like every band has at least 1 or 2 good songs, some more, but the rest is just filler or something. I've met guys that can write 2-3 songs a day, but can never remember them unless their notebook is in front of them & I always figured it was bcuz it wasn't personal. One guy was one of those "I wanna be a star, no matter what" type of guys, & was even trying to steal my songs, which is ridiculous bcuz I call my music trash rock. Alice In Chains wrote music that was personal & meaningful to them, but ppl could relate to it. Nowadays groups write music that they think others will like, or will sell, but it's usually the personal songs, the real songs, that are their good ones & the filler is just there to pad out their album. Damn, I miss the good music! This materialistic pop fluff can't last, something's got to give & a bunch of great bands will come out of it, but I hope it happens soon! There's a LOT of ppl who are sick of the music that's available in the mainstream, but can't spend a lot of time trying to find the underground music they'd like bcuz there's a lot of digging involved. RocknRoll!
Layne has an accident, with a cast he goes and PERFORMS with his band like nothing happened. Then he says at 6:13, "I didn't break my neck, so i had no excuse to not play". That shows that this guy CARED about his music and fans. Bitches these days get a splinter on their pinky and cancel their show... Pathetic.
Ri Zzzz or get hit with a bottle and cry like a little bitch or puke like Justin babyeir or get hit with a bottle or someone has a camera or is wearing a shirt and freaks out at every show and cancels and cry’s like a big Bitch on his period like axyl rose. Or talks to his fans like shit saying they seen incest and Shit like megadeath lead singer sorry forgot his name. And you got layne who preformed high and sick and with a broken leg. And David growl preformed after breaking his leg on stage come on now. I mean even Halsey she’s a girl and still preformed after having a miscarriage I don’t listen to music of today I love the 90’s and before that music and I’m 23 I was born in 95 lol
"I'm immortal" It was really disheartening to hear him say that. He was such a fantastic character, was so full of life. An honest guy, not cowardly at all in his responses, and a great songwriter and singer. What a waste. What a shame.
Watching this kind of put me at peace. Seeing Layne and Mike together here lets me know they're continuing their friendship on the other side. It's just sad to see them and know that they're both gone. Even still, they've got all my love. Rest in peace, boys.
Theres so much to good stuff to say about this band and especially Layne, and after reading the comments my heart melts. But im surprised no one talks about his side to side headbanging with the blonde dreads, man that was cool
There are so many other things that people could have focused on and asked Layne about instead of heroin. It's sad that Layne = heroin. Like all these mofo's don't have skeleton's in their closets or issues of their own. I'm glad that Layne is now remembered by so many people for so much more. Heroin took Layne's life, but he was freaking awesome when he was alive and singing. And from what I can tell, he was really funny and a good friend/person. That's all that matters. RIP Layne
7:00 that question about heroin caught him off guard, you can tell by the way he jerked his head. I can't believe she had the audacity to ask that, disrespectful.
Totally! After all it wasn't for pleasure of numbness. It was the danger the most attractive aspect of h. using. Kind of like skydiving or a bungee jumping. Flirting with death.
This was the man who made me love music. God i wish i could have saw layne. What a legend. I did heroin also so i get it...but i got sober cause i wanted to be around for my family. Layne was needed by the world.
I can walk ! I can see ! ( takes of shades ) xD man I wish I could have been able to see their concert I got interested in his music too late :( goodbye rip Layne & mike starr
Layne is one of the best male vocalists of all time in my opinion. I just wanted to mention that Ibogaine ( a natural psychotropic founs in the Iboga tree in Africa) has proved succesfull in treating heroin addiction but is still illegal in north america. Why are heroin addicts being given methodone (more addictive than heroin), while people hav eto fly out to clinics in Mexico to seek treatment? Keep on rockin, love you Layne
thank you so much for uploading this. this must be the most personal interview with layne ive seen nd the way he react when she ask him abt the heroin you can tell hes embarresed nd dont wanna talk abt that nd i agree he beat death cuz he will always live in our hearts rip beautiful man layne staley
Man, the 90's, I really wish I could experience the glorious 90's, and long before I became a AiC fan Layne had already passed away. I was able to experience a bit of the 90's, but I was so young so I can hardly remember anything, and I live in Norway so I wasn't able to experience the awesome rock and metal of the 90's until I got a bit older, thank fucking god my stepdad had some cool rock albums, I listened to a lot of Ugly Kid Joe, Rage Against the Machine, Nirvana and other stuff from the 90's when I was just a little kid, and I'm really glad I did, because ever since I dug trough my stepdads albums I've listened to and fucking loved rock and metal, and the 90's is one of my favorite decades because of all the awesome entertainment they had back then.
I wonder if Layne the Amazonian Beatle can be found anywhere today 😂 lol jokes aside RIP Layne Staley, the greatest, most beautiful, adorable, talented singer of all time. Oh God how you are missed ❤🖤 I hope you're loving life as an Amazonian Beatle!!
He was not embarassed he was always too honest so he was targeted, though others were using as well. He was more disgusted that heroin was not who he was and the music was seldom the topic asked to him but Jerry. He loved the music and yet never got to talk much about it.
That is why the "NONa tapes were made, cause that was always the main question by dumb reporters. They used his honesty to write bad depictions of what drug he did instead of his amazing talent and music. He was shunned on moronic MTV Award shows, and made the cover of magazines with addict being the focus. This was media not allowing us the fans the true Layne to be heard. When the Award show aired with AIC nominated he was not mentioned in the part that was for those that passed away. tribute.
For anyone interested Id recommend Alice In Chains the untold story by David De Sola, there's an incredible amount of information in there especially the chapter about the making of Dirt. Way better than the half truths and some supposed full on lies of the Layne biography from years ago. Damn am I being paid by the publisher? I didn't mean for it to seem that way but it's just a cool book about a legendary band
Thanks Bro - id like to check it out if i can find a copy.Chains are the most magnetic band in my opinion. They truly lived alot of the songs they wrote. Its a very sad reality that Mike and Layne are gone now.So much talent gone way too soon..I believe they couldve been one of the biggest bands in history if they still had Mike and Layne. They had that special chemistry like the original Kiss-Guns n Roses-Black Sabbath -etc....
I was there! It was one of my best show for sure. 14 years later, I've never heard something as groovy heavy melodic & sexy as AIC and Layne's voice. It got me into drumming and changed my whole life. This vid makes it all comes back, thanx man. Too bad that this venue (La Brique) has become a shitty house club!
LOLOLOL i love Layne. wow. hes just insanely amazing. i especially love how hes trying to act all cool then his mic gets all messed up and stuff LOLLL. RIP, youll always be the best
Pearl Jam...ugh. Hate Eddie's voice. Soundgarden...eh, they're OK. Definitely dug Nirvana. But man oh man, I LOVED Alice in Chains. The music, the lyrics, the other-worldly harmonies(!!!), and mostly Layne's vocals, all combined into rock perfection, IMO. I don't know what it is about Layne's voice, but it just had that certain quality that made everything he sang extraordinary.
Eddie Vedder has a fantastic voice. Wtf are you on about? But to each his own... I do prefer Alice in Chains too. Layne's voice was so unique and just amazing. Chris Cornell from Soundgarden was great too, but most of their songs are just boring. And I do think that Nirvana are good but super overrated now, especially by the new flood of mainstream teens that just discovered them, and acting as if they are the only grunge band in existence. Kurt's voice was relatively mediocre to the likes of Layne, Chris or Eddie
Jekku That's the most childish bs I've ever read. just because you love one band more than the other doesn't makes them bad. Eddie's voice is one of the greatest and strongest voices in music history. In fact Nirvana is the last in the big 4 Musical wise, Pearl Jam, Alice in chains, Soundgarden were way greater. people were just too obsessed with kurt cobain that their minds makes them believe that they're the best. Pearl Jam album ten came out before nevermind , Alice in chains facelift too, And also Soundgarden. and this is from a big big fan of Nirvana and Kurt Cobain. love their music so fucking much but I go with honesty here they weren't better than SG, PJ, AIC period. And I wish if you put some respect for these band's .
Agreed except for possibly Nirvana, I dont care for Kurt. Eddie though, I cant stand that weird yodel of his. Layne was by far the best and AIC the best of that time imo.
You know that layne is probably watching this from another dimension, pinching the bridge of his nose and cringing when the heroin bit comes up "yeah, i'm immortal, right...thanks for taking two weeks to find me guys...fuck"
his speaking voice sounds quite similar to cobain's, weird i always thought they sounded kinda similar, staley just has a much better technique than cobain
Aghh I wish there was someway to bring you back to life Layne. Seeing him just makes tears run down my face. R.I.P. Layne Staley you aremy hero and I adore you unique voice.
Love the Tool shirt Sean's rockin'. In all the interviews I've seen AIC actually seem like funny, laid-back guys. It's so weird then that their music is so dark and depressing... I iss when musicians were just lazy and down-to-earth in interviews as opposed to the fake shit out nowadays..
I have such a different perspective watching these old tour and interview clips, after listening to and reading Mark Lanegan’s Memoir, “Sing Backwards and Weep”. Knowing some of the details of these shows and tours, makes me feel even more connected to that music scene and that time period. I already had a sense of pride about the music and the bands, being “my music”, that wasn’t/isn’t to my connected to my parents generation, but having Lanegan’s story and detailed experiences gives more of a sense of gratitude, that maybe I took for granted before. I came of age in early 1990s, and by the end of the decade, I was an adult getting ready to graduate from college. I’ve left behind and/or forgotten a lot of details from that time, but a lot of those forgotten experiences weren’t connected or tied to the music, so I guess you could say the forgotten wasn’t worth remembering. 😂 But if the music was connected, I could tell stories down to the smallest, most seemingly insignificant fiber of detail. Crazy how the brain works. Anyway, thanks for sharing the video!!
It's not the only time. It seemed like Layne n Mike were always paired up. I wish I knew more about their relationship. I think they were like best friends and when Mike was kicked out of the band, they both started to sputter out. By the way, does anyone know why Mike Starr was kicked out of AIC? I don't remember there ever being an explanation. 15 years later I see him on Dr. Drew's celebrity spin dry or whatever that show was. And now Chris Cornell and Kim, another singer & bassist friendship... I can't believe they're all dead! ¿WTF? .. .. .. .. ¡FTW!
@@christopherdiedrich40 I think it's because they were too bad influences on each other... Layne was already on h, and Mike was too sympathetic with it... they couldn't have two band members on that spiral... the excuse given was that MS couldn't handle touring but the truth, I think was this...
It was also said he liked girls who weren't quite old enough to vote and it was drawing too much attention. Jerry didn't want that kind of publicity. Plus the selling passes deal.
Jerry is the one who mostly talks now, it seems. And quite a few interviews from back then. From what I have seen out of the interviews I have watched, no one except for Jerry is really interested in being interviewed. Lots of sarcasm and I don't give a fuck attitude(s). Just like this one with Layne and Mike. Layne looks uncomfortable to begin with, so his answers are sarcastic and humorous. Then, the stupid lady asks about heroin. There are better things to talk about. Too bad the last half of the interview was her asking him about that shit.
"We all die. The goal isn't to live forever, the goal is to create something that will."
And you boys sure did
100
At 7:04 when the interviewer says "when you have a problem with heroine" he quickly turns his head as in like oh shit she really just asked me that
Yep. And he bravely answered truthfully. Layne Lives
great question tbh
Man Jerry and Layne's vocal harmony's ARE one of a kind, truly.
horrible if you ask me
"Im Immortal". Fuck yeah he is. .. RIP Layne
Leg3ndKilla687 im gonna go search for a giant penis
Don't squash a bug..
It may be Layne
My favorite look of him. That slicked back hair and sunglasses look really cool. Also i like how he's humble, funny and patiently answered the questions... rest in peace beautiful man I love you
"I BEAT DEATH, IM IMMORTAL"
if only
superduperkoolman123 He is immortalized via his music.
reb1138 yeah but dead
Agree with reb on this one he's more alive than he ever has been...immortal indeed
He knew what was coming for him, he says it all in plain English in his lyrics. " I lie dead and gone under red sky"
That part always breaks my heart... 💔
will somebody bring back the 90s please
I'd bring back the 90's for you if I could. I would try to bring back the 80's first (just being honest).
The public is trying. We're starting with nostalgia clothing.
I'm on it
Oh god damn it i love 90's times fu ck do not remind me!
The 90’s was such a better time to be a human on earth! Fucking Paigers and saved by the bell is where it’s at! Lol what I wouldn’t do to go back!
Layne was right.He is immortal
That was a birch move on reporter bringing up Layne's heroin problem. Still the sweet soul he was he handled her gracefully.
"I didn't break my neck so there's no excuse to not play"
And I bet that if he had his neck broken he would still perform, kick ass and amaze all of us.
Rest In Peace Layne (and Mike, obviously).
He spoke too soon when he said that because a short time later everything was an excuse for him…
Everytime I see Layne in videos like this or whenever I hear his music, I'm reminded how to live my life. He had fun yet he wasn't a shallow ultra-materialistic person like most celebrities today. I think he came here to teach. God, I miss this man.
you do know he died of a drug overdose right? watching him should be a reminder how not to live your life, don't do drugs
orla ndo Oh fuck you! Layne was a good dude with a bad problem. All Layne was =/= Drug addict. He was much more than that.

Mike and Layne were so adorable here, omg.
the dynamic duo ❤
And high as fuck
Mike Starr- "He's going to come back as a giant penis." Hahahaha. God I fucking miss Layne and Mike. =(
Haha, I fucking love it at 7:35 where he's being all theatrical and badass, then almost loses his mic. You're sorely missed, Layne.
I wish Layne had recorded some audiobooks. His voice is very pleasant to listen to.
The interviewer totally ignored Mike Starr...I hate that crap. You're interviewing both of them!

True ! Laynes' voice is just more childish/sweet
Fucking Mike acts like he's 12, I love it XD Rest In Peace Layne. Or, high aquatic creature, or amazonian beetle Layne. Love ya dude.

Sean has always had that playful sarcastic fun personality 💕
Layne was such a sweetheart...I got goosebumps when he said he beat death because I'd do anything for that to be true. RIP Layne
As to life after death: "He's gonna come back as a giant penis"
That made burst out in laughter.
me*
If only Layne were invincible, I could listen to him sing Happy Birthday over and over, best singer of the nineties. One of my top 3 all time.
Robert Brown Who are your other 2?
He's my top one.
'He's going to come back as a giant penis' haha. Way to lighten the mood after all those personal questions.
Somewhere deep in the Amazon lives Layne Staley, the beatle.
😂😂 unless he was reincarnated as a human again.
@No name Man or as a giant pen¡5 (like Mike said...)
😆🙊
Sean and Jerry both at peak beauty here, almost angelic ♥
Ok, so no stepping on any giant Amazonian beetles.
Watching this kind of put me at peace. Seeing Layne and Mike together here lets me know they're continuing their friendship on the other side. It's just sad to see them and know that they're both gone. Even still, they've got all my love. Rest in peace, boys.
I guess I should stop stepping on beetles then...
jerry cantrel was a pretier than me in this video..
Lol he is pretty even in his older age he looks great
Theres so much to good stuff to say about this band and especially Layne, and after reading the comments my heart melts. But im surprised no one talks about his side to side headbanging with the blonde dreads, man that was cool
Damn right it was! He had is own style of headbangin 😁
I love it when he does that. It's kinda awkward/cute when he does it with short hair...
@@LaRuStaDaLizard hehe yeah, but he was cool af with them short dreads
I love it you can tell he was feeling the music the coolest most loved headbanger ever❤❤❤
i completely adore him...still
lol, Jerry's like "Dang this chick is hot, gotta say something that sounds intelligent", while Sean is juggling and chugging down his beer :D
"I CAN WALK, I CAN SEE"
Wish I couldn't see at all
Uaww
i laughed so hard lmao
He was imitating Eddie Murphy in "Trading Places" :)
He had such an amazing stage presence, as well as being a really down to earth, cool person...Anyway, I really miss him.
Sean is wearing a Tool t-shirt. Cool!
That man was such a freakin babe.😍 wish I could tell him that now.😢 Them Bones vid and Would vid.
The interview part with Layne makes me wanna cry, honestly 😢😢😢

2pacinseattle the whole fucking album was based on heroin and drugs. It‘s an obvious question when you bring out an album like dirt?!
He was pretty open about his addiction..
The album is called "dirt".
Anyone who says they don't do H because of how it feels is lying. Trust.
RIP layne and mike
"Im immortal" - :'(
RIP Layne - you are missed.
This was the man who made me love music. God i wish i could have saw layne. What a legend. I did heroin also so i get it...but i got sober cause i wanted to be around for my family. Layne was needed by the world.
there will never be another Layne , but I'm glad that Alice in chains are releasing new music, they will always be my favorite band.
7:25 I wish you were, my man.
I loved this video!
Jerry pissed off with sean and he was playing with the balls hahaha
"It's not bad he used to work in the circus"
hahahaha
LOL i noticed that too
I can walk !
I guess I’m going to become a beetle collector.
thank you so much for uploading this. this must be the most personal interview with layne ive seen nd the way he react when she ask him abt the heroin you can tell hes embarresed nd dont wanna talk abt that nd i agree he beat death cuz he will always live in our hearts rip beautiful man layne staley
How weird that, at the end, she brought up the afterlife/reincarnation with Mike right next to him, and now, they're both gone.
Layne is the man and so fucking honest...also want to shout out to Chester...
"I'm immortal!"
Damn. I wish it was true.
RIP
best looking band of the 90s Seattle scene.
hot guys + great music + amazing live shows = magic
💯❤️❤️❤️😍😍😍🔥🔥🔥
IKR, they all looked like models 😍
Feels like Mike genuinely loved him.
he is super yummy in the Them Bones video, for sure!!!
Hell yeah!
I think he looked best in Man in the Box.. Longer hair and dreads kill me..
Psytex Anonymous I was a teen in the early 90’s and the grunge movement was awesome! AIC was just as much my favorite then as they are now.
Imagine being in Bosnia, Serbia, South Africa, Sierra Leone, Liberia and Rwanda in 90s
@@arnoldstallonereeves7469 Well we're not talking about those countries so 🤷🏻♀️
I wonder if Layne the Amazonian Beatle can be found anywhere today 😂 lol jokes aside RIP Layne Staley, the greatest, most beautiful, adorable, talented singer of all time. Oh God how you are missed ❤🖤 I hope you're loving life as an Amazonian Beatle!!
Who else thinks layne looks 1000x sexier in The "them bones" video!?
that's the point of a video...make the band look as cool as possible
I just don't like to think sex related things about dead people 😒
+Golden Calavera i do
+Megan Kennedy
😁
Megan Kennedy. Same here! ;)
6:50 I CAN WALK! , I CAN SEE! , WOWW
Lmao i died, his eyes was so fvcked up he almost chuckled 🤣
Playing a show while having a broken leg, Layne you were a totally badass.
I seen the strokes lead do the same thing and play the next day. Both love/d spreading music
He was not embarassed he was always too honest so he was targeted, though others were using as well. He was more disgusted that heroin was not who he was and the music was seldom the topic asked to him but Jerry. He loved the music and yet never got to talk much about it.
😢
awesome vibe they have here. Probably stoned and just enjoying putting out awesome music as cool young guys.
Read it. Loved it.
Sweet
Thanks for the tip!!!
+lucrese1 good for you I think
I was there! It was one of my best show for sure. 14 years later, I've never heard something as groovy heavy melodic & sexy as AIC and Layne's voice. It got me into drumming and changed my whole life. This vid makes it all comes back, thanx man.
Too bad that this venue (La Brique) has become a shitty house club!
😔
You're so lucky!
08:32 Layne's just looking at the camera and shaking his head like "This is never going to air"
LOLOLOL i love Layne. wow. hes just insanely amazing. i especially love how hes trying to act all cool then his mic gets all messed up and stuff LOLLL. RIP, youll always be the best
I like how these new old vids keep coming.
thanks.
And I wish if you put some respect for these band's .
omg Eddie's voice makes me crazy in a great way lol
Agreed except for possibly Nirvana, I dont care for Kurt. Eddie though, I cant stand that weird yodel of his. Layne was by far the best and AIC the best of that time imo.
3:34 “Hey he’s not bad, I used to work at a circus”
I know, me too.....at least he beat it for another 10 years after this interview.....nobody beats it forever
Layne reminds me of a large Amazonian beetle...I've thought that for the longest time...then he says it...
You know that layne is probably watching this from another dimension, pinching the bridge of his nose and cringing when the heroin bit comes up
"yeah, i'm immortal, right...thanks for taking two weeks to find me guys...fuck"
his speaking voice sounds quite similar to cobain's, weird i always thought they sounded kinda similar, staley just has a much better technique than cobain
They were both from Washington, they will sound similar. Its not weird, at all.
+Donuts Galacticos both born in the year of the goat and from washington and ya Layne was a more technique skilled singer
Both died the same day@@joshuafult84
Their round.. .they are so funny all of them.. Nice Tool t-shirt.. love love them...miss Layne so much..
I wonder how much unseen concert footage is out there from all these tv spots they did.
Aghh I wish there was someway to bring you back to life Layne. Seeing him just makes tears run down my face. R.I.P. Layne Staley you aremy hero and I adore you unique voice.
RIP Mike :(( we love you
Love the Tool shirt Sean's rockin'.
In all the interviews I've seen AIC actually seem like funny, laid-back guys. It's so weird then that their music is so dark and depressing...
I iss when musicians were just lazy and down-to-earth in interviews as opposed to the fake shit out nowadays..
Como pode uma pessoa ser tão bonita como Jerry.
Anyway, thanks for sharing the video!!
uune video sous-titrée en français de l'un de mes groupe favoris! genial!
R.I.P LAYNE
Thanks for posting this! I'd never seen it before. Very cool.
Yeah I love Jerry Kantrell
Dear Layne there hasn't been any human in history to ever beat death You'll be always remembered RIP LEGEND
3:27 Aww Sean trying to impress the interviewer 💗
He did: he is immortal...
I've never perceives AIC as sad. More like bluesy sinnical.
Mike & Layne now reunited in Heaven - RIP.
His Danzig comment earned this video a like
Weird how the two remaining band members and the two who have died are paired together for the interview. Illuminati(sarcasm).
lol
@@christopherdiedrich40 He sold backstage passes to buy drugs when they played Rio. Jerry got pissed off and kicked him out of the band.
It was also said he liked girls who weren't quite old enough to vote and it was drawing too much attention. Jerry didn't want that kind of publicity. Plus the selling passes deal.
Much Music Power Hour said this album was great 2020 still great ..recall in 92 listening to dirt on my Discman ...memories
omg, epic interview! I can't believe I haven't seen it until now >< I'm so happy they didn't edit out the rough spots.
Cantrel such a good little boy
What a personal interview...asking about his use.
Thanks for sharing.
Let Cantrell talk. Every time he tried talking he was blatantly interrupted by the drummer.
Lol. It's ok, I noticed that too. But there are interviews I've seen where Jerry keeps talking over Sean. ;-) They're good.
They settled that with "Dam that river" ;)
Jerry is the one who mostly talks now, it seems. And quite a few interviews from back then. From what I have seen out of the interviews I have watched, no one except for Jerry is really interested in being interviewed. Lots of sarcasm and I don't give a fuck attitude(s). Just like this one with Layne and Mike. Layne looks uncomfortable to begin with, so his answers are sarcastic and humorous. Then, the stupid lady asks about heroin. There are better things to talk about. Too bad the last half of the interview was her asking him about that shit.
Jerry is a dick
