Brilliant. LOL. Great Extro
Well done!
I feel like they missed the mark on this one by providing 2.5g instead of 10g. Even at 10 you’re not even utilizing 1/6th the speed of a single NVMe. Maybe it was to lower the cost to get to a certain price point, still looks like a nice option for an all SSD NAS. Just not a super fast one
Maybe revision 2 will have 10GbE. But yeah it’s an odd choice, it would have cost about an extra $100 if they used the Marvell AQ107 or AC 107 whatever it’s called.
@@SPXLabs Oh, $100 is more than I would have thought. With that being the case I am left to wonder how much an extra $100 would cost them in sales. Not sure what else is available on the market at that low of a price point. Personally I don’t have a 2.5g switch since I only have a few devices that needed more than gig to my NAS. So it was much more cost effective to get 10gig cards and directly connect them. Since this unit just has the single 2.5g port I would also have to purchase a 2.5g capable switch to even reach those speeds, for the one device that has 2.5g onboard. I’m not in the market for this type of small form factor Nas, but if I was, I would happily pay an extra 120 on top of their asking price for an extra 10g nic to go along with the 2.5g
I agree. I'd had have purchased the 10G option. But, I feel they should have. Options available... and BOTH should include Rack Ears (or at least offer the option).
@@sekritskworl-sekrit_studios yeah that’s a good point, rack ears to make this a 1u unit would be great!
5:52 uh oh. Share your secrets.
Is it really a secret of its public.
Nice hair cut
What Array would you use to have your VM’s
i saw that 6.13.0-Beta.1 lol we use to be able to download and test the betas and rc- but now they make us sign in just to see if there is a rc to download it's kinda frustrating.
anyways nice video and thank you for sharing it with us!💖👍😎JP
You have to sign in for public betas too? Interesting. I normally don’t touch beta or RCs. This video was a first for me.
@@SPXLabs i'm not sure how you get the betas with the new system but the RCs you have to sign in to download. i really like the old system where you just click stable or next and download the one you want with out having to sign in but i guess this is the new way they want to go with it
You misspelled portfolio
New keyboard still getting used to it. Also I can’t read
He's great at pictionary though.
this video made me realize im never going to use unraid
Thanks for stopping by anyways.
