It's a little more expensive but has good reports, so might be worth waiting to see my review

Is this true 4K or upscaled? My onscreen menu doesn't have EIS option. I can only turn EIS on/off via the mobile app.

Apparently, other CZcamsrs are stating that it's upscaled 4K on the SurfolaSF530, but I'm beginning to believe differently, as the Akaso Brave 7LE that I've just tested is Native 4K, but when I did a side-by-side video test, with the Surfola SF530 and Akaso Brave 7le, and then watched them both back, side by side on my 2 identical LG OLED 65inch tvs, no one (including friend's or family) could tell which was which in quality
So it got to the point of not knowing that I had to redo the entire video test again, between the two, but with the one camera having the time and date visible!
I think that the Surfola must be Native 4K or Akaso are telling a few fibs in regards to the Brave 7le being Native 4k.
The other thing that got us all talking is how the colours etc. looked identical to each other and my son-in-law said that even the file sizes matched up the same, so that in itself is speaking to me as one or the other.
The EIS on the Surfola can be turned on or off via the camera.
I'll be honest with you, I preferred the Surfola SF530 over the Akaso Brave 7LE, mainly due to the wireless Lavalier microphone that's bundled with the Surfola SF530, besides that the Akaso Brave 7LE has some serious issues unlike the Surfola.
The Surfola SF530 might have that horrible cheap plastic look and feel to it but how it performs for a £49.99 camera is spectacular.
You'll soon see the side-by-side test with the Surfola SF530 and the Akaso Brave 7LE as I'm uploading that soon once I've finished a few other unboxing and review videos, so you'll see what I mean.

@@lets-talk-tech-uk I may have to try 4K and see for myself. I have a gen 1 Surfola SF530 and this updated model is superior. I discovered why I couldn't enable EIS. I must have fat-fingered and accidentally hit the zoom-in function. After zooming out, EIS became available.
what does putting the driving mode on actually do ? im going karting in 2days and want to know if i should turn it on or leave it turned off :)

Driving mode just means dash cam mode, why they don't just call it dashcam mode I really don't know.
Personally I would probably leave it off, as with driving mode, it will only record for so long then writes over the old footage (to save sd card space)

Apologies for the delay in responding back but only just had a notification
Battery life ranges depending on what resolution you're recording on
With 4k 30fps you can expect around 45 mins and with 1080p resolution I've managed 50 to 55 mins, from Eastchurch standard-size batteries supplied
However, if you purchase the larger-capacity batteries, your runtime will increase.
I found that the Surfola SF530 with the wireless microphone is a great value starter Action camera, that I think gives excellent video quality and the same exact video quality as what the more expensive Akaso 7se produced.
