There is no excuse for the Pirates to not have their best players on the field last night or any night. Bart and De La Cruz didn't play last night at all. They are head and shoulders above better baseball players than the 4 guys they had in the roster hitting under .200. Grandal batting 5th tells me everything I need to know. At least try to win. Half the lineup are AAA players and DFA candidates on any real major league team. The matchup stuff and analytics don't work, the results are a one game under .500 team. Anything else that is said isn't factual. Shelton is directly responsible for at least a dozen losses this year. He wouldn't put Bart or De La Cruz in the game last night, though was happy to have Suwinski out there all year failing miserably. How about the massive stretch with Tellez doing the same.
