- I hope @everyone is having a fantastic day! It's incursions day, but today we're talking about power in Star Trek Fleet Command. Does it matter and have any relevance? This video goes over calculating ship power, but why in some regards this process can be an effort in futility. I go over when power matters, and when it does, and show you the way to figure it out for yourself!

As a ops 49, I'm top 7 power wise on my server 136 at 104m which I'm looking at pushing to above 110m before I start ops 50 upgrade and that's as a ftp and the 6 docks only as well.

Hi Rev will you ever show us what you had below deck on those PVP battles because the biggest part of a pvp crew is the lower decks ?
Rev I play like you. Being the strongest 50 on my server lets me default win SLB’s. Although for me I think that will end this weekend as I go 51+
One thing you didn’t mention is the command center. All the items in the skill tree have a power assigned to them, but for whatever reason that does not impact your overall power. More scopely math I guess.
A really good crew can give you millions of hidden Combat Power during a fight.
- a simple Defense Officer like 5of11 or M'Benga can add soo much temporary Power
- or take Original Spock who adds shield HP ,and with that ALOT of hidden "Health" power that will never be displayed in game
- or a maxed Tyler with a Cpt. Picard + Beverly + maxed neelix under deck and your best Attack officers besides neelix can add 500.000+++ Dmg each round which is another hidden Power spike that will never show up
The list of "power officers" got pretty big over the years
4:30 - are you sure the defense formular is correct ?
- its a really long time i last checked ... (years infact)
but the main defense stats was "worth" double the amount of the secondary stats
example = battleship
- 1 armor = 5 points
- 1 shield Defl. = 2.5 points
- 1 Dodge = 2.5 points
but that was a years ago ... maybe they chanced it
Power is in large part a measure of HOW MANY DOCKS YOU HAVE. Your ops50 power compared to other ops50's means nothing if you don't have equal number of docks. Ships in those docks currently affect it greatly as well.

Anyone else having an issue with the store today? I have yet to draw Spock and my Chen is only 1st level as is my Ta'lan had some just terrible luck in what I'm drawing.. can't get enough of anyone to level... saw the $29.99 price with all three and thought alright... I'll try to pay for something... but once I click it says the time has expired for it... but it clearly show 14D23H in the time box..

the other part of power you are forgetting is the total power level you have can be effect by what ship you have in dock and the total number of docks you have

Only defense in this game is the shields. Base defense doesn't mean anything. Defense crew don't work with the be all end all pvp crewsxthey have now. Wining=spending 💰 💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰

If you think base defense doesn't matter, you're probably doing it wrong 🤷
Sure, someone 20 levels above you might crack you anyway, and possibly sneak a miner in occasionally, but it gets expensive fast for them
if you dont know how crack a base cheap youre doing it wrong
There is no way to crack a good base defender who is online cheaply.
Used well, a base is a huge equalizer
Been gone for 2 years come. Came back got my enterprise to 4.5 million power... Only to see a level 35 with a 10+ million powerr ent. Blown away by the difference and have zero idea how to get mine to that level.

I feel it's better to chase power not ops lvl. Grow out not up. At ops 41 xindi is a 5 minute grind because I grew out more then up.

Scopely makes math way too hard and complicated
Station power means nothing to ships power...and your example of your lv 50 ship blows up a lv 57 show how out of balance scoply has the pvp match up...cause to get to 57 I bet that player has lots more research...
You can NEVER use power to anticipate the results of a match? Hard disagree. A 100M Corvus will beat a 50k phindra. I don’t care what research and crewing situations are.
