Hey Tom, just to let you know on racedepartment, there is a mod where you can have drs disabled for all cars until lap 3. Its called "[RARE] Rules and Race Enhancements". Works very well and can even disable drs in wet conditions.

I wish Codies had these kind of handling in the F1 games...in F1 2014, that car handled like any normal F1 car...but the engine did sound like crap though.

2014 cars didn't really handle like most F1 cars (At least modern ones). Cars that year had minimal aero grip so understeered alot on entry then because of the high torque engines they would have some snap oversteer on exits.

You can’t do that anymore. This car didn’t have the rear bias for that driving style, and neither do these Pirelli tyres.
Ofcourse the halo is great for safety and F1 have to use it, but I almost forgot how great cars look without the halo

@@AlluSRJ It did get a couple poles though. It almost won the San Marino GP as well. Definitely not Ferrari’s finest car and it’s worse since it followed the F2004 but it wasn’t too bad. Definitely not on the same tier of absolute filth as the SF1000.
2005 car was not to bad. was held behind by tyres… car itselfe was not to bad
F2012 was pretty crap aswell, yet Alonso somehow almost win the championship with that thing

With this crap Alonso ended 6th in Drivers Championship, only 6 points behind Vettel in Red Bull, and 106 points ahead on his team-mate Kimi Raikkonen
I don't know why i'm mentioning this, but for you console gamers out there, if you want to experience understeer and oversteer at the same time, use the renault on f1 2018

@@numbmypainplease4023 the aero was also horrible. It had an inmese amount of drag. That's why in Spa and Monza Haas and Alfa Romeo were closer to Ferrari or better at times
@@numbmypainplease4023 The aero and chassis that were built around the engine became useless after the Ferrari cheat engine was banned for SF1000. Engineers take this into account when designing the car. If the engine fails then the whole balance of the car becomes complete shit, you have to use lower values of wings to compensate for the speed on the straights and this leads to a lot of tire wear.
@@numbmypainplease4023 The aero wasn’t good though. It was horribly draggy on top of the useless engine and it wasn’t stable at all. The only reason you’d think it had decent aero was because the drag penalty that it had wasn’t as bad at slower tracks like Hungary.

No, to be honest the SF1000 was much, much worse in terms of overall performance: at least the Ferrari PU in 2014 was ok. Not great, I mean, nothing could even come close to the Mercedes, but at least it was decent enough.
Mauro Forghieri himself during a television broadcast stated that the reason for the car's poor handling was due to the suspension system that made the F-14 T way too rigid and almost looked like a go kart on track, given the lack of rhyme or reason for why it was so understeering AND oversteering at sporadic intervals.
Not only that, but for the same reason the car wasn't able to transfer the engine's full power to the rear tyres. And that was a big disadvantage given how much more torque the V6 turbohybrid engines have compared to the old NA V8.
Alonso deserves more respect after driving this ‘car’ AWESOME DRIVER🇪🇸🔥

I hate this meme because all the 2014 cars had the characteristic of understeer and oversteer at the same time. It was also probably one of the better cars in terms of its chassis/aero, the only thing it really failed at was the engine was quite underpowered due to its small turbo.
That clip from fp1 Abu Dhabi on a dusty track over eggs it's actual struggles which wasn't actually its driveability.
i'm probably the literal only person that actually liked this car, interms looks and (yes, really) sound. as for the handling, that probably wasn't helped by the fact it was the first year of the turbo hybrid ruleset.

this is so silly. any car that understears on entry has a huge probability of over steering on apex or exit. this is simple stuff. that's why you always fox entry issues first if they are bad.

Try a race with caterham 2014 and marussia 2014 i drived both of them in assetto corsa and they were 10 times worse than the ferrari the marussia wheel spins even in 5th gear when you drive it you will understand what i am saying please try a race with both cars in the grid.

The drivers, think about it, McLaren had Button and Magnussen, Ferrari had Alonso and Raikkonen, no challenge.

The worst Ferrari of all time were the 312T2, 312B3/73 and of course the 14T
The 2020 is the most worst not this
statistically, the worst Ferrari has been the 2020 F1 car, they scoed only 131 points while in the 2014 season they scored 216 points, it´s true that 2020 they scored more podiums, 3. while in 2014 they scored only 2 but Fernando in 2014 managed to to score points in 17 out of 19 races (the 2 races were DNFs), in 2020 Leclec score only in 10 out of 17 races
I agree. I do think their actual 2020 car wasn't bad, it was more down to the engine controversy where they were underpowered, their actual car performed fine in the corners, better than 2019 in fact.

And it was so bad that Ferrari finished 10th in the constructors championship. Ironically this car is the last model of the 312T cars which the previous models were the most winning car of those years making the 312T series the 2nd best F1 car Ferrari ever made and at the same time the worst F1 car Ferrari has ever created
