Am I correct in thinking that the huge emerald and diamond ring is the engagement ring that King Edward V111 gave to Wallis Simpson? The Timur ruby necklace, I know belongs to Queen Elizabeth 11, though she has never worn it. (She should give it to me if she doesn't want it!)

No, this the chalk ring worn by maharani saheba, who passed it down to her son, the maharajah cooch behar.

    Nice.
If it's from Baroda where it belonged to the Maharani's necklace 0:39, why is the great emerald called Chalk? Just any excuse to wipe out the name of India from any association to beautiful, great things?
The thumbnail is Timor ruby - perhaps he stole it on his world tour of massacre? Then again, it's possible it's the colour he painted the then kniwn world, most of it.

The "Ethereal Carolina Divine Paraiba", while spectacular, appears to be badly cut with a giant window, most likely to preserve size despite visual performance. While neither gem cutter, gemologist, or millionaire to afford such a gem, I prefer I precise custom cut on a small stone any day instead of glorifying a big badly cut crystal.

I agree. That gaudy necklace it's set in is awful too and detracts from the main stone's beauty. It looks like cheesy costume jewelry.
