His passes still inspire me to this day. The way he turns his body to the opposite side of where he passes the ball is a technique i use thanks to him and has led to some of my best football memories. Its a shame he was there in the galacticos era, where playing time was very hard to get. He's definately legendary in my books

While Raul wasn’t called due to the extremely hgh competition of forwards (Torres, Villa, Negredo, Guiza) during 2007 and later, Guti was simply not promising choice to produce in a serious competition. He was too unstable.

Im from Madrid. i have personally talked to him once about 10 minutes in a gas station :) . He was so nice and you can feel it in every interview he made... The thing is that he always had Galacticos playing in his position and as one friend mentioned before, he is too temperamental in and out of the field and it´s was reflected at some point in his lifestyle ( too much pàrty, problems with cops, fights...) . Definetely, not a correct political person but a true Legend in Madrid in the pitch and in thenightlife as well. hahaha

Soy brasileño y he seguido la carrera de muchos de nuestros jugadores, que el mundo ya sabe que fueron brillantes, pero Guti, carajo, nunca había visto un centrocampista con tanta visión del espacio para los pases como este tipo.

@@LuisGomez-ef3gi Hubiese sido el mejor club de la historia si no llegan a hacer la gran cagada de vender a Makelele .Eran unas bestias pardas, jugadores sin igual y hubiese sido aún más exitoso con la presencia de ese mediocentro que rebaña todo , hubiesen tenido ese equilibrio tan necesario. Jugador por jugador fue un espectáculo . Falto ese equilibrio defensivo, incluso con Fernando Redondo quien marcho unos pocos años antes , hubiese sido dios y habrian ganado más champions. Verlos jugar era un deleite .

Guti did almost nothing for 5-7 matches, and then “boom” 2 matches of world class performance.
Back in the day I was mad at the late Luis Aragonas for not calling Guti for the Euro, but I understood later on. While Raul wasn’t called due to the extremely hgh competition of forwards (Torres, Villa, Negredo, Guiza) during 2007 and later, Guti was simply not promising choice to produce in a serious competition. He was too unstable.

His Problem was in his mind, he did not hide his Party nights, his problem character... His Relationships with managers were stormy. His lack of discipline was well-known by everyone.

Honestly for me he's not really underrated. Just, he was surrounded by all of his all-star teammates at that time that we almost didn't see his brilliance on the pitch.

I've never heard anyone speak about this beautiful pass he gave Ronaldo vs Man Utd. We see the goal alot. But nobody speaks about it. This is what being underrated is about, not being noticed and not being praised .

@@zsadff sus primeros 5 años era suplente, para el 2005 comenzo a jugar mas pero nunca consiguió la titularidad indiscutible por falta de disciplina, se trasnochaba antes de partidos (lo mismo que ronaldinho) y lo dejaban de suplente o no rendía

Im from Madrid. i have personally talked to him once about 10 minutes in a gas station :) . He was so nice and you can feel it in every interview he made... The thing is that he always had Galacticos playing in his position and as one friend mentioned before, he is too temperamental in and out of the field and it´s was reflected at some point in his lifestyle ( too much pàrty, problems with cops, fights...) . Definetely, not a correct political person but a true Legend in Madrid in the pitch and in thenightlife as well. hahaha
