This is a great video for me. Just got my camera and the detail settings help me a lot. Thank you
My pleasure. comments like these make me smile.
Thanks Man great work very helpful
Great video: thank you so much!!! ❤
Thanks bro. I just bought this set of camera today and I was totally confused by the digital manual on the Sony website. Until I found your great video. 😁
what lens you were using for the top - angled view?
Excellent 🙏 thanks
21:04 how do i get all these menus... mine does not show that... only aperture, speed, iso, awb and expsoure
Great video. Can any one confirm that in ZV-E1, if we can record to SSD via USB: 4K 4:2:2 12bit/10bit - Intra - 24p - Slog3. If not, what can we record to SSD?
As others have stated thanks so much for the tutorial. I have been debating between this camera and ev10. My main purpose will be videoing my dives and want the best out of the video. I will be using a lighting system during my dives total of 8600 lumens and 5600K, so lighting should be ok. I plan to shoot in S-Log3 with the S-gamut3.cine as I really want the best data and be able to edit and grade in resolve. So, with all that said what would you suggest the best ISO would be for such conditions?
Thanks
This camera has no fan so it will overheat very quickly and often in an underwater camera housing.
S ideally you want to be at the native iso of either 640 or 12800. and make sure you compensate your color temperature for the color shift in the water. But most importantly! send me a link to your footage i want to see it! PLEASE!
Helpful
Thank you so much for this great tutorial! 😀 Just one question regarding the S-Log-3-settings you show in the video: When filming in low light conditions with these settings there is a lot of noise. When using the auto settings there is no noise. What can I do to reduce them in S-Log 3?
So log profiles generally are not great in low light. But make sure to shoot at iso 12800. Or standard prpfile
@@TechThroughTheLens Many thanks!!! 😊
Thank you
If shooting in S-cinetone, pp11, do you still thinks its best to shoot in ISO 640 and 12 800? Or do you think its better to shoot as low ISO as possible for the scene?
I think dual base iso is different for that profile. I believe its 100 and 2000. Best to google base iso for which ever profile you are using
Nice 👏👏
Have you tested this with a Ninja V by chance? I am curious if it can get a 10bit 422 4K signal output?
You do get a 10 bit signal. But You don't get raw
I don't see the link for the best SD cards for Sony ZV-E1, what one's do you recommend? Thanks :)
Lexar pro v90 cards are your best bet. Slower cards wont let you record across all modes
I dont see the links to SD cards
Appreciate your pace, in some other videos re the zv-e1 people talk way too fast. Thanks
Hey man I recorded in 10 bit for the first time and for some reason when I try to look at the file on my phone or laptop the video won’t play! Any help for this problem?
Try switching to “XAVC S” instead of “XAVC HS”.
slow motion 120 & 240 fps ?
Swiping left or right on evf only hides the menu once for me so frustrating.
AWESOME content! I'm currently using a goprro Hero 9 to shoot my workouts to share with my Trainer...and also to create instagram reels of my fitness journey (@unfinishedgym). The GoPro drives me nuts with all manner of app connectivity issues, upload glitches.... What mirrorless camera in the sub $1000 range would you recommend for this application (new or used). Typically I have the camera on for 2+ hours though filming only the actual sets. Thanks!!!
I cant find like that in yours in my zv e1
can you do best lenses video for the Sony ZV-E1 ?😊
absolutely can. I think it will probably be a best sony lens video . And i can explain best lenses for different use cases
i just got zve1. do i need to get v90 card or v60 will be fine to get 120 fps on S&Q mode?
you will absolutely need the v90 card. And also a high capacity one for all the data
Nice tutorial but a lot of the settings can not be done while the camera is on auto intelligent mode. Can you make a newer version of the tutorial addressing this hurdle!!!!
Why i cant see my videos that i transferred to my pc it says unsupported
I never understood that either. I've only been able to view them when I upload them into editing software.
thanks for the tutorial but chapters would be greatly appreciated
This camera just gave an overheat and shutdown while only keeping it on for checking the settings! I wasn't even recording! wtf! it asked to change the temp higher so i did. OMG!
That has never happened to me. where were you filming,? and did you have the high temp setting on from the initial set up?
@@TechThroughTheLens not filming at all. Indoors setting up the camera for the first time while watching your vid. It was just on, no recording. Im in China btw. It already has 100p frame rate apparently. There is no AC indoors but maybe the temp threshold set wayyyy too low on mine.
@@TechThroughTheLens no high temp setting and I don’t know where to set that. But it asked to set it higher after that and i did. Camera was only in Chinese at first and had to add English🥲😅
@@CasaFassahey men, what is you thoughts now, 3 months after, the zv-e1 worth it?
@@Pontcher only complaint is the heft. It's still a burden compared to an action cam or phone. But if you like actually getting amazing shots, especially low light, still totally worth it. And now we have 4k 120! Oh and the stabilization is good, but you're still going to want a gimbal if you truly want nice, dynamic movements and speed ramping. If you just a talking walking vlogger type with minimal b-roll, then stick to action cams. People don't really care about the video quality so far as subs and viewership are concerned. They want entertainment and experience, so no once cares about your beautiful low light and bokeh shots. If you're only doing CZcams, as I said not one cares about video quality, action cam is enough. Oh, another problem is highlights. You have to really expose for them and the histogram doesn't help so much, which means the LCD screen is very dim and almost useless. Yah the LCD panel the worst thing about this camera.
Your video content is usefull, but the way it was filmed is unwatchable and unprofessional: going constantly back and forth with zoom make me so bad that i don’t think i could watch another one. Great content and interesting subject does not require that quick constant framing zoom switching! Just an advice to improve your channel
Its not that deep, just follow the instructions and look at your camera, not him...☠️
That's exactly what I thought. He probably zoom in and out on his face for like 100 times in this video.
Lol it is funny.. like ADD.. cuts, zooms, or transitions literally every second or two
Great Video, just really really hate the way you zoom in and out of your face so often, it's so annoying to watch.
