Prime Minister laid the foundation stone and dedicate various projects to the nation worth more than Rs. 3200 crores. The Prime Minister dedicated the Kochi water metro to the nation. This one of its kind project connects 10 islands around Kochi through battery-operated electric hybrid boats for seamless connectivity with Kochi city. Apart from Kochi Water Metro, rail electrification of Dindigul-Palani-Palakkad section was also be dedicated by the Prime Minister.

but built and designmetro boats in kocin shpyard under govt of india.and need permission of central govt .
Kfw is funding 85 million out of 140million, that is more than 50percent, n it's central govt which helped kerala to get that loan. That's why pm is inaugurating it and not cm of kerala.

Kochi is not river based, its backwater based hence water transport is optimal.
This is harder for longer distances on rivers, as height variation and flow has to be controlled which is more expensive
Congratulations to erstwhile Oommen Chandy Govt for starting this project in 2015. It took 7 years for present Pinarayi Vijayan Govt to complete this project.
Kerala Govt started this Water Metro Project in 2015 November. Pinarayi Vijayan's inefficient Chinese Communist Govt delayed completion of this project.
Water Metro in India never heard but sounds exciting. Everyone must admit that this government is doing good for modern infrastructure if not for any other sector. No of AIMs, other educational institutions, road quality, and pretty much everything related they have done is more compared to last 50-60 years.
Mention other sectors in which Modi Government has not paid attention if you are aware of.
I think it will also work well in Gangetic planes. We have to make a proper route for it. Even Ships have capacity to dock there. government needs to do something

US has CNN, Fox, NYC times, UK has bbc, Qatar has Aljajira India has nothing like this. Moreover, our malnutrition is a bigger issue. Even the standards of our Indian news media are really bad. Apart from 2-3 mainstream news media, all others are doing useless debates and religious hangover. Our passport ranking has fallen down this year. I can count on like that so much. 😂😂

Cock up dude!! Central govt is not bound by any such rule. This project was considered favourably because KMRL, which is implementing the project, is a 50-50 venture between central & state govts. Obviously, the Kerala CM knows the procedure more than you, that's why he waited for over 6 months for the PM's date, to inaugurate the service.

It is a KMRL project. It is funded by GoK and KMRL took a loan. Central doesn’t have any loan.

@@mithunm2777 yes. You might be correct. It might be central government funded. But my understanding is that project is proposed and executed by GoK. Central government gave the fund the people of Kerala deserve as we all are tax payers.
@@mithunm2777 to take foreign loan SG approval is mandatory, but that doesn't mean it is CG project or they invested 50% in it.

KMRL=26%
KMRL is 50-50 by state and central which means, CG hold only 13% of this project.
And I am not arguing but just want to make this clear, anyway both SG and CG are doing very well in infrastructure of our country 👍😇
