  • Typically, lithium-ion batteries, including those used in electric cars, are recycled using toxic solvents that can harm the environment. GRST replaces harmful chemicals used in the manufacturing process with water, offering a new approach to building and recycling lithium-ion batteries. This innovation not only helps clean our air but also provides a pathway to make future electric cars even cleaner.

Over the last ten years, the evidence that we face urgent challenges to protect the environment has become indisputable, and it’s clear that the time to act is now. Drawing inspiration from the concept of moonshots, which since the moon landing in 1969 has become shorthand to talk about the most ambitious and ground-breaking goals, Prince William announced The Earthshot Prize: an ambitious set of challenges to inspire a decade of action to repair the planet.
We believe in the power of human ingenuity to prove to us all that the seemingly impossible is possible.

This is such a good idea, I hope it can work.

Can you tell me details about the process or is that proprietary information?
I assume it uses a so-called ionic liquid? Can you at least confirm or deny that?
What I also be correct in assuming the liquid uses "forever chemicals"? And that to be truly environmentally friendly you have to make sure you get 100% recycling rate?
