    Again, I have to say that my heart aches every day for people going through immense suffering and I hope that soon the world will become sane again…

    Hi Dear Ana! I started a new job this week at 61 years old. Very stressed so today is the first time I can settle to listen to your conversation with us. I am blessed to keep a horse, that's why I have to work. 😜🤣 Anyway, I rarely ride anymore as I'm fairly crippled by arthritis, but grooming my mare, walking her, feeding hay, sitting on a hay bale watching her graze and hearing the munching, snorting of other horses, clopping hooves, birds, sunshine, wind noises - it's all therapeutic and meditative, as is gathering manure to take home to my flower gardens.
    I'm always so happy, no joyful, to see you. Stay safe and calm. Sending you love and positivity.

    Hi Ana......It is always so heartwarming to have your videos appear on my screen. We as empaths are stretched in so many ways and I know that right now it seems like it is more so than ever before and......maybe......that is so. Charkes Dickens said "It was the best of times and it was the worst of times." and I think that dual supposition may be true. One Canadian songwriter, an apostle of Carlos Casteneda, once said, " She stepped up to my table.....she moved as in a dream. When the coffee burned my lips she laughed and called me by my name!" How lovely and how diaphanous can be this life!!!!

    You always give me so much to think about! In the US we don’t take our shoes off at the door, and we often have dogs. Our floors are never really clean. I walk barefoot in my house and my feet feel ever speck of dirt! Because if this I almost always wear shoes. But I do like beaches and soft grass when I have the chance. And I practiced TM for years. It used to be my wake up routine instead of coffee. Now I always fall asleep when I meditate.
    Im very concerned about you. Please fill us in on what you are doing when you can.
    I love the way your hair is styled.
    Im going to buy you more coffee. Please take care of yourself.

    I’m also an hsp introvert and my pain threshold is low just like yours. I’m easily overwhelmed if my body isn’t working properly and I’m always impatient to be fully fit again, this causes me to “over react” too. If someone isn’t wired this way they can’t possibly understand 😔. I’m happy to see you again Ana, you’re often in my thoughts.
    P.S. my feet like soft chenille socks and thick carpet and they also like warm water! Lol.

    Hello my friend. I was wearing my Siberian Cedar/ringing pine amulett the whole day today and voilà, there was an upload of Anastasia. :-D What a wonderful sign. :-)
    I love to ground myself by active meditation. That means, I like to sit and knit or crochet or embroider. It keeps me in the present moment and let`s me focus on something creative. When knitting an easy pattern, I can focus in a blurry kind of way as well and just go into deep meditation, while my hands rythmically knit and knit and knit. It is very calming.
    I read of studies, that when you have a cold for example, and you want to put some vapur rubb on your chest for relief, like something of a menthol or eukalyptus oil or ointment, not to put it on your chest, but on the soals of your feet!!! Feet are amazing. They transport the essential oils exactly to where they are needed. I love to get foot massages too, but haven`t had one in ages.
    What also grounds me is a walk in the forest. I am very connected to our old german forests.
    There is a wonderful documentation, made by famous actor Judy Dench, about "My Passion For Trees" (Netflix Documentary). The trees communicate with each other underground and they come to each others help and aid. It is so fascinating. Scientists have found out, that you can meassure the energy of trees with Hertz and we can also do that on humans of course. They found out, that a human heart in love has the same frequency as a healthy forest and that we can influence each other and heal each other. It is so amazing.
    About beeing highly sensitive: I didn`t find out, that there was a term for people who were like this until last year. It felt so freeing to finally understand myself and that I was not crazy. I found this test recomended by a wonderful CZcamsr called Cathy Hay. She is also an introvert, highly sensitive and a textile artist for historical clothing and helps people with their struggles of coping with high sensitivity.     I know some of the books of Carlos Castaneda too. But the more I read, the more I felt ungrounded and they scared me too. I loved "The Celestine Prophecy" by James Redfield though. It is fascinating. There is a movie on CZcams too.

    Never thought about the sitting in certain way being smoothing, but that's do true! My partner always laughs that I sit like a rooster - on the arm of the chair/sofa and one leg underneath and one up (close to my chest, not straight up😅).
    Smells are smoothing to me, but my oh my, this can go wrong if the smells is not tolerated...I wasted some money on essential oils because of that...
    Lighting a candle - love watching the flame.
    Hugging - when I am particularly stressed I will hug my dog, it helps that he doesn't talk 😅

    This is a lovely video, Ana. I, too, am extremely sensitive and have a low pain tolerance. I am autistic, as well. I like doing relaxations in addition to my daily yoga practice. I’m so glad that you can feel more free to talk about that here. I also feel less embarrassed about my own sensitivity these days. I think an alternative to standing on those spiked things can also be achieved by massaging one’s own feet.

    I never thought that my tendency to sit down on the floor even while eating is because I could be an HSP. I know about HSP people from years ago and since then I always thought that some of the traits of HSP people apply to me as well. I am reading some books on that currently and discover so much about myself. I also realized some years ago that I sleep better when I sleep as close as possible to the floor, so a low bed is the best option for me. I rarely walk around my house in my bare feet because it's cold, but I always wait for summer time when I can do that. Though my favourite thing to walk on is grass. It's so comforting and makes me feel so grounded. Hugs!

    Oh! so much to think about in this video! Since birth I've always preferred to be barefoot wherevervi am and have always preferred to sit with my legs folded in lotus position. I think I'm calmest when walking alone, barefoot, on a beach just at the edge of waves and sand. The colder the water, the better! Thank you for another lovely video. I'm so glad you're safe and still able to film these small gems. Much love xxx

    Great video!
    I use a sound machine to both calm myself and drown out noises like traffic.
    It's not too loud or too quiet.
    Almost sounds like a fan.
    It helps me sleep at night too.
    I also love when my cats sleep close to me. It helps with calming and soothing me, and I think they like it too! 😺

      Hi Carole, I love the sound of an electric fan. I often sleep with my fan on even in winter, the monotonous, repetitive purring tone has a soporific effect on me and lulls me to sleep. I also like the “train journey” sleep sound that Alexa plays, that also calms me. I don’t have a cat any more, but an animal lying close by is such a lovely feeling 💛

    This is so helpful! As a fellow HSP, I have a very low pain tolerance, both emotionally and physically. I spent my summers as a child barefoot and I remember the peaceful feeling!     Bonjour chère Ana ! Another very interesting topic you share with us, thank you 😊
    As a Sophrologist (I think it's the translation for Sophrologue but I think it's not very common out of France), the body is the basis, we begin with the body (senses, breathing, emotions, etc.) and progressively we incorporate the mind, with contemplation, méditation and then values. The idea is to harmonise the body, the mind, the heart and the relationship with our surrendings... so yes this topic speaks to me !
    And in a private way, I practiced Qi gong for 4 years and evolved towards Yoga, which I've been practicing every day for 2 years.I practice some energetic method too.
    And there's something that you might like trying which combine meditation with the sens of your fingertips you are talking about, it's the Gassho meditation : your hands are joined in prayer in front of your heart and you focus on the contact point between the tips of your midle fingers (I hope I am clear in my explanations !!).
    And finally, you might be interested in a book : La réalité de la réalité from Paul Watzlawick (which is called How real is real, confusion, disinformation, communication in english) "De toutes les illusions, la plus périlleuse consiste à penser qu'il n'existe qu'une seule réalité. En fait, ce qui existe, ce sont différentes versions de la réalité" - Of all illusions, the most dangerous one is to think that there's only one reality. In fact, what exists, is different versions of reality (sorry if my translation is not correct ☺️)

    I really relate to this video and your embarrassment around having a perceived low pain threshold. I have chronic migraines so I am very used to pain, but that doesn’t stop me from feeling very overwhelmed and disturbed by episodes and other forms of pain. I did want to recommend though an acupressure mat, the small spikes create a warm and relaxing feeling. Thank you for encouraging us to connect with our bodies - often the feelings are too big for me to want to connect with my own, but I know it is so important 💜oh and your thoughts on hands made me really think, as I find knitting to be very meditative and I wonder if that is a factor!

    Great video, Ana! Thank you so much for sharing what life is like for you. Sometimes, it's like that for some or more of us, too, or someone we've known and cared about. I love that you enjoy sitting on the floor. I prefer it, too, connecting directly with the earth. It just gives me so much peace. There is a self-help support group I attend sometimes, with many sub-groups in different places. One sub-group sat in chairs, and it upset one of the leaders when I sat on the floor after a stressful day at work. He insisted on bringing me a chair to sit in. Even though in that group, we are supposed to let each person make their own decisions. Another sub-group had sofas and armchairs for seating, and some floor-sitters. They were more accepting and easy-going. I preferred them, of course, but couldn't get to them as often as I'd like. Even camping in tents, I prefer close or direct contact with the earth.     Hello ana. I am a teacher. Yesterday the auditorium was occupied when I arrived to give the class. I sat outside on the floor. Waiting for it to be free so that I and the students could go in. I was comfortable. Students started to gather and I greeted them. They were standing. And eventually I started to feel self conscious because I realized that non of my colleague teachers would ever sit on the floor. So it made me think about when and why does it start to be inappropriate to sit on the floor. Kisses from Portugal. Hope you are well

      I think the reason why teachers don’t seat on the floor for example during assembly it’s not because is inappropriate but because they need to keep an eye on all the children and get to them quickly if needed.

      I like sitting on the floor too! I feel it is comfortable and very natural. One reason I feel self-conscious doing that in public is because people think the floor is dirty. Usually it is! But we have a very low tolerance for anything dirty right now, and in the last 50 years, so I feel self-conscious of other people’s judgment when I sit on the floor in public. In my own home, I can clean the floor as much as I want! I also think the type of “dirty” that is found in the subway or the operating room of a hospital is different from the type of “dirty” found in the forest. I think Forest dirt is clean dirt, if that makes sense! The subway or the hospital is just gross.

      @@ticamonica Very true. In my case, my students are all adults :D They sometimes sit on the floor while waiting for class too. Yet I never saw another teacher doing the same. Also I find that as people age, they loose flexibility and sitting on the floor becomes difficult if they don't maintain the habit.

    Dear Ana, your video is awesome and I am always moved by what you have to tell us :) I would recommend slow and soft massages on any part of the body... I massage my feet in the morning before stretching, I am addicted to it now. Also painting, focusing on a model for me is a way to slow down and somehow connect to my body even if it is a creative work... Thank you for inspiring us and being so true!

    Hello dear Ana, so glad to see you again! I love your tips for reconnecting to your body. I’m an HSP too so I have a very low pain threshold and suffer from migraines too. That seems to be the way stress manifests in me. I knit to relax or at least have something to do with my hands when anxious. I take my knitting everywhere I go . Looking at your hands is a great idea to snap out of your stress and reconnect. In a way I look at my hands when I knit too. I’m going to try that next time for sure. Stretching and meditation in quiet is my favorite too. I also like to go out and sit in nature whenever possible and just observe through all my senses. I know you can’t go barefoot much but isn’t the sound and feeling of snow crunching on the ground underfoot just the best? I love it. I also really enjoyed your story about the man at the airport. People can be wonderful sometimes. Lol. Thank you for your thoughtful video. Sending you a big hug. 🌸

    Looking on sky, on sunrise and sunset, walking barefoot on dew, or when its windy removing scrunchy from my hair and let it fly on wind, that's what makes me feel good.
    And oh sitting on floor that's awesome too.

    My feet like different textures - I really feel my anxiety is better if my feet are bare. Living in an apartment high up - A beautiful view, but I lack the connection to the earth.
    I used to run over flint-stones on the farm that I lived on as a child. Very painful but I was very much used to it.
    I am very sensitive now - city life have made me even more sensitive - and not in good ways.
    Showers have always been my thing - If I feel disconnected from my body (I have had severe disconnecting feelings for many years but it's getting better) - a warm shower and just focus on the beautiful holy water. And then I can cry with the water.
    Life is but a dream. Our reality is so complex - too much to understand.
    Painting is helping me.
    Plant medicine helps me.
    Singing helps me.
    Tapping on the third eye with two fingers with closed eyes is great as well.
    And dancing and stretching.. The only form of sport I fully enjoy.
    I get so stiff and tight and my neck and jaw needs a lot of work to not be painful.
    Massaging the face with oil - and sometimes massaging inside of the mouth - the jaw - helps to release tension and pain.

    My feet like wet sand at the beach and short-trimmed clover in soft warm soil. They don't like my wood floors until at least May 😉 Recently I have found guided mindful meditation to be incredibly helpful. I close my eyes, focus on my breath, and then move my attention to each area of my body trying to sense it. I do something similar as I go to bed and before I get out of bed in the morning - I feel the softness of the pillow and the mattress against my body, breathe deeply, and think about how grateful I am to have a safe comfortable bed.

    I like to be mindful when doing chores around the house and walking from room to room. I try to keep some attention in my inner body and some on my breath and that keeps me pretty grounded and less in my head and in thinking about not now. Thank you for sharing. Be safe and well.

    That was all very interesting. I've never been able to sit on the floor or put my legs out. I've heard that putting your bare feet on the earth is good for you. I'm a HSP also. Especially with daily pain. I find quietness helps, and just trying to have a positive disposition.

    Thank you for sharing these ideas. I also love being barefoot, especially on rocks, at the beach, or park. I also live in a colder climate (though Scotland not as cold as siberia)! I find wearing barefoot shoes helps me feel what is under me and stay connected, but also stops me from getting frostbite!

    Lovely video. One simple thing I do to bring me back to present moment, is breathing. I focus on inhaling with imagination. I see my lungs filling with air and then pushing out my breath with mindfully. Also, lying on the grass on my back and literally watching the clouds go by, is another mindful practice. Thank you for sharing your's. I do find that hand-washing helps too, but if it's raining, I love to stand out in the rain and just feel the wetness on my skin. I can relate to your sensitivity with bare feet. I love walking on soft surfaces, but since having major foot surgery in 2019, my left foot is now super-sensitive to certain rougher surfaces. I can walk on sand and grass but stones tend to hurt my feet. Thank you for another beautiful and considered video xo

    I connect with my body is through physical activity. My choice for activity is bicycling. At my age, running is too difficult, but, smooth peddling on a bicycle affords low joint impact while also allowing for a very strenuous activity when desired.

    In the mountains near us you can take a „barefoot hike“ that is specifically designed with all different surfaces (including a mud bath and Kneipp pools, as well as stations where you can wash your feet, Swiss efficiency 🤣), it takes a couple of hours and is really fun, wandering through meadows, woods, farms etc. in beautiful scenery!! I want to do it again this year, it‘s free, too… In fact, the farmers‘ children up there traditionally only wore shoes/boots in the coldest weather, even now you‘ll see them heading to the village school or helping with the migrating summer herds barefoot 👍👍 My mom was an excellent example to me as she often goes barefoot and if we saw a patch of snow on the mountain in summer she wouldn‘t be able to resist taking her shoes off to walk in it 😃

    So nice to see you here Ana - this video is very helpful ... I'm an HSP and recently I realized that I have to be outside a lot more in nature in order to attain even a little bit of relaxation during these times. It is Spring here so yard/porch work has given me a lot of comfort and recharges my spirit! Every moment of "being peace" is so important of a contribution to the world as it all starts with each of us individually!!!! :)

    I too am an HSP and find life so difficult at times because of it.Thank you for sharing your wonderful tips.I LOVE your videos.It is good to know there are other HSP's(and minimalists) out there and we can find each other and make a community. I am getting rid of my furnitue so that I can reconnect with my body in a natural and healthy way and be more active throughout the day.. I have a very high pain threshold, but I wish that it were lower, because I think it causes the nervous system to over react.

    Hi dear Ana, so happy to see you. Thank you for your video. I too carry so much pain and tension. To relieve my tension and anxiety I enjoy walking along to coastline when i can. There is something so soothing walking on the soft sand and watching the waves form little white frills around my ankles. I studied reflexology, and find the pressure points for stress help too. There is also a methof of shaking meditation called TRE trauma releasing excercises. During the process you shake gently for about 15 minutes this releases stress. There is literature written anbout this technique, im sure there are you tube videos on the subject if you would like to look into it. I went to a dinner once and the host asked me what i did for work, when I mentioned reflexology, he was very rude and said there is no place for it, and it is not a science like medicine. I kept very quiet for the rest of the evening, it has always stayed with me that conversation . I find if i rub my hands vigorously together for 50 counts the gently place the palms of my hands over my eyes and breath gently, i feel a sense of calm. Thank you for your honesty and tips that help you. I think of you every day, and hope youcwill be united with your husband very soon. That would make me so happy

    I work from home 3 days a week, I have never thought of sitting on the floor to work. I am definitely going to try it. I often sit with my legs in lotus in my desk chair, it makes perfect sense. Thanks for sharing and the video link.

    Great suggestions. I find stretching helpful. It somehow takes the knots out of my mind as well as my body. I've never thought of looking at my hands, but it makes sense.     A practice called earthing has many health benefits both physical and mental. If you haven't read the book or seen the movie you should and I think you will find it very interesting. I live in the U.S and enjoy walking around on the grass in the summer.

    Beautiful video, as always. You always explain yourself- and the concepts you're showcasing really well. :) (I actually even used your video on Erich Fromm as a source on a philosophy essay on him- got a 10! So thank you for help in achieving that haha)
    A way that I reconnect with my physical being as an HSP is by reminding myself that I am alive. I remind myself of all the cells and the work they do- the way the whole body is interconnected by design. All the work our bodies do to keep us alive- and I feel so grateful. During meditation I listen to my heartbeat, and swear I can feel my blood flowing through my body, to give strength to my heart. Reminding myself of the work my body does to keep itself going; meaning I am always the one keeping myself going. I am alive because I want and work to be, even if a depressive episode tries to convince me otherwise. My body is proof I have a wish for life; because in the end our body is a part of us.
    Rambling aside, thank you for your work, Ana. :)

    I know exactly what you mean Ana! I often feel spaced out as though I am not even here! It can be really scary sometimes and you are the first person I have heard ever talk about this feeling. If I am walking along the street and have this sensation of unreality come over me I do what you do - press the tips of my forefinger and thumb together or even clench my fists so that my nails dig into my palms! I walk barefoot in the house and don't even like my feet covered in bed at night. So happy you posted this right now. Please stay safe and know we are all connected. x

    I have always kept a lot inside, to the extent that it probably stifled much of my true feelings. I am able to release it though when I gaze at the ocean (Pacific means "peace" after all). When I am at the coast, gazing west over the waves, I am an empty vessel, and eventually feelings start to creep in (or uncover), and I find peace. Unfortunately I live 300+ miles from the Pacific now, so quietly sitting in the sun with my toes in the grass will have to do. Very thought provoking video today (at least for me!). I hope this finds you well, safe, and at peace.

    dear Ana, stay safe & try to hold on.
    My best friend is from Siberia (but living in my country for over a decade). She cries a lot these days.
    All this suffering surely can break one's heart.
    For me, I've got a calming, lil sound on my phone. I can adjust it "to ring" in certain specific intervalls.
    Sometimes I miss it but very time I hear it I pause & deeply breath in, breath out. At least I try it & it helps me a lot.

    Ana, I recently started watching your videos and appreciate how you present as calm, self aware and gentle natured. I also appreciate how you reference literature.
    I relate to wanting to sit with my feet at the same level as my center of gravity. As a child I would calm myself by laying flat on my belly on our hardwood floors. I find contact with stone, wood and water very calming. I was sick as a lot as a child and would have to remain physically quiet. I would lay on my back and do what I considered as “hand dancing”. I enjoyed watching the flowing forms. Listening to the sounds of nature, such as birds, rain, rustling of leaves are a preference to music. I find cities to create sensory overload.

    Hi Ana, that was so interesting! No one else dives deep into subjects the way you do. I’m also an HSP but have a very high pain threshold. I have red hair and apparently most redheads, depending on their colouring, can endure more pain and require lower doses of painkillers to work, and this is my experience. I also am immune to tickles, but I am not sure that’s connected. My feet are bare as much as possible and I love walking on sharp or rough surfaces, it gives me a tingling sensation up the spine. Maybe the same as the nails you described. Take care my dear

    So valuable! Similar to how I feel. Even as a child, I always wanted to have my feet close to me and hated sitting on chairs. I love walking barefoot. But I also feel the pain strongly. That's why I now have barefoot shoes.... Dearest Ana, take good care of yourself and get through this time healthy.

    Great video Ana! Interesting topic. Have you ever tried lying flat with a eye pillow? Very easy to make usually filled with flaxseed. But the weight on the eyes relaxes the Vegas Nerve.

    Wow, great video! This had tips I hadn’t heard of before. I love the idea of looking at your hands. The American singer-songwriter Jewel has a song called “Hands” that she wrote after looking at her own hands and suddenly seeing them in a new way. Thanks for such insightful advice! ❤️

    Hello lovely Ana, and thank you for sharing your journey. You articulate yourself so well including this subject.
    I’m an HSP and my only wish for us is that there was more support for us growing up. Every.single.Word. You said is on pointe.
    My feet are happiest being bare and sinking into the garden.
    Have you done any research on mirror neurons?
    My therapist told me about it and it’s another point of research if you haven’t heard of it yet.
    That is a wonderful practice of meditation, so simple allows us to be present, but quiet. Dissociating is my unhealthy way to cope, but I do it. 🤷🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️All the time, but when I have to be an adult I refocus by using my senses in that moment.     Happy to see another video Ana! I also never sit properly in a chair, and have my legs tucked beneath me to feel comfortable. I personally don’t like anything sticking to my feet. I now wear slides indoors and can’t stand walking even a few feet without them. I feel like my life is unbalanced right now, and work to the point of exhaustion to pay the basic bills. To relax, I play nature music, either a beach, or forest, or river sounds. I then close my eyes an imagine myself there, and melt into myself. My imagination is pretty strong, so it works for me. 🌸🌵

    One of the nicest experiences I have had happened last year, when my partner brought me to a little island on a lake nearby and I could run my feet through the cool water and get touched by very little fish swimming in tho shallow water. There is something about the smooth lake stones covered in algae that my feet enjoy a lot and when there are little fish bumping into my legs it is just bliss! :) In terms of anxiety, especially now with what is happening in the world I have discovered some wonderful ASMR videos that help me if I ever wake up and cannot go back to sleep. I have also found that using a heavy blanket or a heavy/weighted duvet at night calms one's body down. A few weeks ago I crocheted a baby blanket for a newborn girl and I used bamboo yarn, which is very heavy, soft and drapey. Two days ago, the baby's father rang to thank me again for the blanket and said that when the little girl is restless or cries too much and her parents cover her little body with the bamboo blanket she calms down and falls asleep. They are so grateful for my present to them. I was a bit concerned that the blanket might be too heavy for such a small body, but it is proven that weighted blankets or duvets help relieve anxiety, so I suppose it works for her too. :)

    Hi Ana! So nice to see you back! Thank you for this video! It got me thinking, I never considered myself as HSP, but I might be. I'm going to research more and take some tests. I like to feel rought texture of sesal carpets and rocky beaches with my bare feet. I like sand too. Best way to relax for me is to dip my feet in any natural water, like lake, river or better ocean or sea (but that's a very rare occasion). I also try do do yoga every day and I absolutely like to cycle on a long distance- best form of meditation.

    Great video and advice. Thanks for allowing yourself to be so vulnerable. I have put the hand technique to use already. I was blown away by actually feeling the pulse! whow what an eye opener of what can happen when we are fully present in our bodies. Silly technique< I disagree. it is simple yet effective in bringing us towards ourselves. It commanded attention, stillness and yes presence just like meditation. loved it.

My feet like the feeling of sand, both wet and dry, slipping through toes; also the feeling of grass underfoot, with the gentle rise and fall of different clumps. And paddling in the sea!     I generally dislike walking barefoot as I hate the feeling. The only exception is sand. Nothing beats walking barefoot by the ocean on a warm day.

    Ana I'm HSP too 💗 I love barefeet especially on grass but a wander indoors is great too. For me I need to isolate myself to get myself back on track as its being around people even those I love that causes me stress. It's not easy to carve out lone time but even a little before bed helps me 💗

    Standing on nails sounds unpleasant! But someone I know had a pebbly floor put in her shower to stimulate points on the feet; I think you can also get a pebbly mat for the same purpose. When my high sensitivity and various anxieties and illnesses get to me, I refer to a book on acupressure. This really helps, as you hold each point for a minute or two and, ideally, breathe slowly and deeply. Also puts you in touch with your feet and other significant points.
    I'd love to know if anyone has a suggestion for high sensitivity to dental work. This is a big problem for me and I have been having panic attacks in the dentist's chair. Part of it is sensitivity to pain, but it also seems to involve a resistance to having people's hands and tools in my mouth.

      I've found having a considerate dentist is vital, and then I try to focus on my breathing. Over the years I've become much less stressed, as long as I can determine my needs. Good luck.

      I also have a phobia about dentists and particularly needles. It's been embarrassing in the past to have disclose this. Blood tests, any injections, anesthesia shots for dental work all send me into a full blown panic. I am older now, 65 and needing a lot of dental work. It gives me some comfort to know I'm not the only one. 🙏🏻🕊✨

      @@lyric8006 I'm sure there's more of us, and it's time to speak up and educate medicos etc. When possible, for needles, I request a bed, to avoid fainting, and that seems enough to ensure the "jabber" takes care. I stopped blaming myself years ago.☺

      @@allegrosotto2126 I have discovered Emla cream, which has local anesthetics similar to what a dentist uses. In the US you need a doctors prescription to get this at a pharmacy & it's cheap. Use this cream wherever the needle is going, (blood tests, injections or IV's) and I don't feel anything. I have no choice in dentist as i have to go where my insurance allows. My dentist is good but his injections are painful. I told him he could get a buffered form of Novocain which doesn't hurt but he wasn't interested in changing. I need 4 crowns this year. The only way to ensure I can endure is to take a mild tranquilizer and then I still do deep breathing thruout the session. I so appreciate everyone's suggestions. 🙏🏻🕊✨

    HSP are usually EHS as well. Grounding is crucial. Plus breaks away from highly saturated areas of polarized artificial manmade frequency interference pollution.

    Synchronistically, when I opened CZcams, I had just come back from a walk because I felt so disconnected. Here, spring is coming and the birds are singing, it was beautiful to walk between the fresh green leaves. Before that, I had written some diary pages and sat in silence. For some weird reason, polishing my nails gives me so much joy and grounding, so I added that today. I just use clear nail polish.
    There is something in paying attention to the hands. 🤗

As a long sufferer from anxiety and panic attacks and HSP myself, I'm still finding my ways to relieve my body of the tension, stress and pain. So far grounding, meditation and mindfulness, help the best. Accepting how I feel without judgement nor expectations. Being present in the moment. And breathing, so much breathing. I have realised that if I begin to panic that means I have stopped exhaling properly. So I do a couple of inhales doubling the time of the exhaling and that immediately helps me restart my nervous system. If you need one thing that will do. She talks a lot about the mind-body connection on her CZcams channel. I just got her book "How to do the work" and so far it is very eye opening. So many good books and sources now. But even if you can't have access to some now, you will always have your own mind and body to help you do the the work so you could feel better. I wish you a world full of peace, comfort, love and hope for better times. All my best!
