- On September 14th, 2018, The ON&W F3A Clinchfield #800 and the Seaboard System GP30 #1030 was brought to the Central Florida RR Museum located in Downtown Winter Garden, FL. to participate in an event by the City Of Winter Garden. We caught the preparations and chased the units to Winter Garden from Tavares. Be sure to subscribe to my channel as I have many gems in my other videos. Great video, Scott. Was hilarious seeing my bud Ricky (with the sombrero) as well as Matt and the conductor plucking those signs out and knocking the barricades. Guess WG underestimated how much outward these things foul lol.

I listened to the video with my 7" high desktop speakers that were 4 feet away from my ears at the normal setting I use, and the train horns were LOUD! I can only imagine what it would be like hearing them in person. How do those people standing in front of the locomotive (like at 6:22) keep from going deaf?

Looks like those tracks never get used except for a special event.
We always carried branch cutters in the loco with us after having a branch swing back one time a bust a window out of one of the other locos.
Too bad the government didn't invest in the rail systems across the U.S. and left them abandoned in so many cases all while other countries like Europe have great trains.
I lived in Orlando area for 14 years and even in Eustis Florida and worked in Travares!
They NEED to bring back the steam train! it's not the same without it!

Bet there were more than a few swear words said every time they scraped against an overhanging tree limb. IIRC, the 800 just got a new coat of paint up at CSX Huntington in 2017.

Love that FA's horn, but that tinny sounding bell needs to go! LOL Looks like Winter Garden didn't prepare too well for a train to come down those tracks. They must not be used at all since they have signs so close to the tracks! Looks like a bit of really poor planning on their part.

Are those people's crossing the road are not afraid getting by a TRAIN? They acting like is toy train or something to that matter. Also the train tracks belongs to the whomever the owner is regardless how long is being not in use
