We recently received test samples of the upcoming MoYu RS3 M Super V2. This impressive cube comes in three versions: standard, maglev, and ball-core (with repelling edge magnets). We had a great time testing these cubes!

my theory is that they already have the perfect cube and are just improving their cubes slightly, leading up to it, so that we have to get every one because it is one of the best on the market, until they release another one that is slightly better
that's almost all companies, you can't fit everything into one cube or once it loses popularity you will have nothing more to offer
Most likely, they get more of your money that way
By the time moyu makes the perfect cube, the standard (non-maglev or ball core) will be like $50 dollars on its own
I feel like all these amazing new Moyu cubes and other cubes like the Tornado V3 have completely butchered any reason to buy a GAN. There’s no way GAN can justify charging $80 for a cube unless they come out with some sort of new tech that nobody has which is unlikely. They just don’t have anything unique anymore that justifies their prices. I think this is the beginning of the downfall of GAN, unless they cut their prices in half but that ain’t gna happen.
Gan is making like the Monster go cubes or the 356rs non magnetic and 356rs was my main cube

@@enginebutton797problem is that the monster go, swift block and 356r/rs all have much better alternatives. None of them are outright bad, but they are comparatively bad.

Before this release, I thought of them as: Meilong - almost trash line (ok, 3x3 and 4x4 are okayish very budget cubes), RS - solid budget line, Weilong - flagship line. I don't like they messed that up by entering the hi-end prices with RS cubes.

That’s coming from the previous generation being one of the best sub $15 cubes.
uv coating makes it worth it
@@Rikulolx The Cost is definitely justified, but the point of the RS3M line of cubes is to be cheap cubes which are competitive with the others.
The WRM V9 being more expensive than the Super V2 doesn't justify the line.
@@CuberBeats I feel like a $25 cube is fairly cheap simply because of the uv coating. It makes a lot of sense for them to do something like this, as the super rs3m is still $10 leaving you the choice of whether or not you want to pay the extra for uv coating
I was in Walmart the other day and stumbled upon the Nexcube. $7. My last 3x3 cube purchase: Moyu Aolong V2 from the Cubicle at the beginning of 2016. Just doing minimal research, it's really cool to see where cube design has gone. My life doesn't allow me to dedicate much time to cubing at all these days, but it was encouraging to see how little someone can pay for a good starter speed cube, and fun to see TheCubicle and JR still around. Maybe now I'll finally learn all the G perms for PLL 😂
I hate the nexcube n its TRASH. It may look like a speed cube cuz its stickerless but trust me 😭. Pls js get a super rs3m or qiyi m pro they around the same price. Also i feel you wit gperms honestly a-c are kinda easy n intuitive but gd 💀. I hate that one js like the e perm oml.
The Nexcube is literally just a meilong(with lube it is actually not bad)

I skipped buying the weilong v9, since I had a feeling that moyu would come out with even more cubes that wouldaybe be better. Excited for the new release!
just came back from a comp and luke garret and tommy cherry were there and luke let me use his rs3m super v2 ballcore uv it was super smooth.
Wow!! After watching this video I would say that Moyu did a great job making that cube. But here in the Philippines it costs A thousand so I cant afford it but I hope one day I can buy that because thats a great looking cube and will help my performance improve more😍😍

We now have the V2 of the upgraded version of the V3 of the upgraded version of the MF3
These are really expensive, 47 for the ball core, 35 for the maglev, and like 27 or something for the standard. They seem really good, but wow moyu
Calling it the rs3 super v2 is a little interesting too. Rs3 and cubing classroom have traditionally meant budget cubes, but this is going well into huameng and weilong territory. I just hope that they can do both a budget and a premium version going forwards.
Edit: the USD pricing didn’t actually sink in until i looked at the huameng and wrm v9… the v2 standard is as expensive as the huameng bc

What happened to the old pre-frosted stickerless plastic? That was plenty grippy enough. Then someone made frosted plastic, then someone coated that... but if we're gonna gravitate back to grippy surfaces, why not go way back?
My old main was the gts v2 so I just bought the super 2022 a few days ago to get back into cubing... the timing for this..

changing the pieces to being completely primary/purple/turquoise instead of just the insides make it look so much better and less budget
I agree, I recently bought the WRM V9 and the pieces not being completely turquoise was the one part of the cube I didn’t like. It made it look too budget for a flagship cube.

I don't understand what market these cubes fill, because the RS3 M was the budget line but the ball core edition of this is more expensive than the Moyu V9. Is it better/the new flagship? Just confused

No grooves mean more friction, lube feels more sticky, dust will cause the cube to slow down, in the long run, it will slow down distinctly
Yeah! I like the Super RS3M much more than the classic 2020/2021 because of the dragonscale pattern which makes it smoother.
I don't have the cube but I'm assuming the main problens are the price and the centers breaking.

I have the UV Weilong V9 and I struggle with grip more on that cube than on any other frosted cube. I find it makes the cube very slippy which is weird considering that that is literally the opposite of what it is supposed to do.

how do the magnets compare with YS3M?
Wow, these are like WeiLong V9 prices - maybe because of UV coating. Interesting that Phil recommends the basic version. I got the Super V1 Ball Core and loved it for a while, until I broke in my HuaMeng YS3M Ball Core (not UV coated). What I love about it is it is just like my RS3 Super BC, but more controllable. I feel faster on both, but actually am faster on YS3M. Dropped my average by several seconds (about 20 down to about 17). I was able to do the WR 3.134 in 10 seconds, haha. I've tried so many cubes, but always seem to come back to MoYu. Better than GAN, better than x-man, IMHO. All my favorites have been MoYu.
Yeah, I also love MoYu cubes and if I used any non-MoYu cube I average like 21 instead of 17, right now I still like the V9 Ball core the most.
@@denismartinek5087 YEAH, same here, man! I look forward to trying the V9 (waiting for a price drop, haha). I could never get used to GAN, for some reason. Come to think of it, I was main-ing the humble MeiLong when I finally got a sub 20pb. Until this year, WeiLong was the cube for me. The new Tornado V3 is great too, but it just doesn't handle the same for me - very smooth cube and I want to love it, but I can't seem to dial in just the right setup for me.
Well no offence on the opinion but xman is not bad either, like tornado v3 is the smoothest cube available in 2023 I have tried v9, gan 13 maglev and also the v3. The v3 is an all rounder as it can adjust according to you. But v9 is like fast.. very fast while gan is just overpriced, gan 12 was really good but overpriced. So yeah xman and moyu are doing great but I think xman is better 😅
@@aarshpatni9350Thanks for your thoughts. I do have the Tornado V3 as well, and I think it is great. I really haven't adjusted it much because it was great out of the box, and I didn't want to ruin it. Currently, though, I feel like I have more control over and am faster on the YS3. However, every time I fool around with the V3 I am aware of how close it is to becoming my main, but I never get around customizing it just right. I may tackle that soon now that you brought it up. Btw, I love the V3, as is, for OH; perfect smoothness, magnetic strength, and grip.

The super v2 has no grooves on the inside, making lube to run out much faster. And on top of that, it will feel more sticky. I think the weilong is the way to go.

I had just ordered the Rs3 m super they seriously tryna take all my money
Their prices are very reasonable and worth it but I'm still a bit disappointed in Moyu because maybe they forgot that the Rs series isn't famous for having a good unboxing experience or for having flagship-like performance with a flagship price that it is famous for because for a cheap price, about 10 dollars you will have a speedcube on par with other expensive rubik's cubes, maybe even better...
I don't have too much money,so I hope they can make it cheaper by keeping everything about the rubik's cube the same but reducing the accessories like they did with Wrm 2021

Why is it that every single time you say the cubes are too fast OOTB, when I get it, I find it way too slow? I always set all my cubes to the loosest tensions/screws/compressions they can go...as for lubing...MAX Fleet mostly...Hell...I think I ever only used my MAX Command in my GTS3M and Cyclone Boys Metallic.
I think that is personal prefer, although i use loose tensions with controllable lube.
