Oh this is so so emotional. Our own heroes and heroines. Much as I grew in the ANC side, I give respect to the PAC, Azapo and the immaculate forces of Apla and Azanla. Salute, you all sacrificed for our own freedom. Siyabulela maqhawe!!

I did my secondary education at Bagamoyo Secondary School. Our next neighbour was Kaole Secondary School a co-education school. WE used to encroach on their beautiful girls (during my time no freedom fighters were there! under the stern jealous eye of their boy colleagues!) Frelimo and ZANU PF, used the place as their training base right at the Indian ocean beach! Today, it is some sort of community college. I think APLA were at Pande (Bagamoyo) a bit to the interior.. ALUTA CONTINUA COMRADES!

My wish is to see this liberation movement being restored with credible leaders who share the aspirations and vision of the organisation. I see PASMA is becoming visible in various academic learning. Izwe lethu.

Am sure more than half of these Heroes died on vain...some in frustration, hunger, poverty and neglect...
Am always in pain...seeing these memories...of...aborted revolutions

APLA with virtually no funding at all and the racist Apartheid military constantly hunting them down but they still show the most astute of discipline and dedication. They were warriors. They were Children of the Soil. Izwe lethu!✊🏾

Hi there, We are in the process of producing a short documentary for the Centre for the Study of Violence and Reconciliation (CSVR) for their 35-year anniversary. The video itself it not going to be used for commercial gain, it is just to highlight their journey thus far. It will be shown at their celebratory event as well as potentially on social media such as CZcams. It will not be broadcast on any satellite or streaming service.
For some of the archive footage we are using, we have used a few sections from this video and I would like to take this moment as a courtesy to ask permission to use those sections from this story. Your name is shown in the corner and will credit you for the use of the footage.
If this is not your footage, please let me know who it belongs to so I can contact the correct persons. Thanks

I would like to hear the response bcz the marching on Sabelo Phama's funeral at Mthatha stadium in 1994 was totally different than this one. Although it was a mix of Apla forces and former Transkei Defence Force.
