- Hi friends! This week we look at the first Quarter Quell!
The first Quarter Quell had quite the twist: the reapings wouldn't be reapings at all. Instead, the citizens of the districts would vote for which children would be their tributes. How did this work? How did the citizens of the districts react? How does one choose which child to vote for?

I can imagine career district kids campaigning to be tributes.....
As horrible as this whole thing is... I'd probably vote for the two strongest kids in the district (despite losing at least one of them). At least because I'd think "well, they've got a better chance to win than some of the other kids..."
Oh my god if I was here I'd be voted into the games cuz I'm the most outspoken person ever, and I would talk trash about this government.
The first QQ always fascinated me. The thought of making that kind of choice is so intriguing. When the prequel books were announce, so many people clambered for books based around Haymitch's games and I felt like the outlier wanting the first quell represented.
I wonder what the Victor felt like knowing his district wanted him dead and he had to go back knowing some voted for him
I love that the idea of the quarter quell is to calm any rebellions, but the 3rd quarter quell not only did the exact opposite, it pissed off a fair share of Capitol people too
I'm very curious to know how the career districts would do this. Would they vote for themselves and get their families to vote for them as well?
The comment about vote counting taking a while made me laugh😂.
I think that the children of the more wealthy families would be targeted as they never had to put their names in more times
these games were probably just full of school bullies
Imagine getting voted by your own family.
District 12 has won more Quarter quells than any other district.
I personally think that the tributes in this Quarter Quell would likely be made of:
IN THE CAREER DISTRICTS IT WOULD BE LIKE AN ELECTION HAHAHHA WITH EVERYONE CAMPAIGNING FOR THEMSELVES
imagine if they announced who voted for who at the end and you coukd see who voted for you/ the person you voted for could see that you voted for them
If i was thinking logically and didnt care about the children or a anything at all probably 1 strong older child and 1 weaker younger child.
When I hear that signature "hi friends" my mood changes so quickly.

If I could vote who got be part of the Quarter Quell, I would’ve picked my bullies 😂🤣
I will never get over prim’s death. She was the whole reason behind everything and now she’s gone😢❤️
