I received probably the best Iconic RC kit ever made from my very good friend Nick over at ModernDayDino CZcams channel.
He graciously donated this kit to me to rebuild and enjoy for many months to come.
It is the biggest RC kit I now have in my fleet of RC's.
A super massive big Thank You to Nick for this mammoth Monster Truck.

Wow. Nice gift and a great project. But the star attraction for me was Maisie. First time I've actually seen her. What a cutie. My Roxy will be 19 years old in 2 weeks! I can't quite believe I've had her for a third of my life ♥
Hi Derek, I think it is the 2nd time as she appeared in my New Toy video featuring the Arrma Granite. It's amazing how long the little ones last with so much love that we give them. 19 years is a long time for such a faithful companion. Maisie will be 12 years young this July and I've had her since she was 4 hours old..!!🐕💕🦴
Yes that was super nice of Nick to sort you out with that beast. I look forward to seeing it all upgraded. I Had a little first go at the DT-02 speed trial just to see how mine is running. I'll wait till the official launch to put up an attempt vid. Hey well done on your record breaking laps at the Greenhawks figure of 8! Best wishes mate. Hopefully catch up soon 😁👍👍
Yes, it was super nice of Nick to pass the Super Clodbuster over to me. I shall put it to good use with the twin motors and 2s lipo. Now that I've got a GPS meter, I shall be testing out my Holiday Buggy on Saturday on grass and tarmac.
I will be returning to the GreenhawksRC stomping ground with some more Creations to slide around their Test Track, that's for sure.
First and foremost, I'm so pleased to hear of Maisie getting the all clear buddy.... and great to see her on the video looking well and happy.
I think it's brilliant that you have been given a gift, you do so much for so many different channels..... It's about time you received a car!
And, what a car man..... Just look at that thing!!!
As I said to you last weekend, this thing will be right up your street Peter.
They are a real fun build, look amazing, great to modify with endless hop ups available, a total blast to drive..... and they are HUGE!!!

Now that Maisie has the all clear from the Vets, it's full steam ahead with the competition I've got planned 😀
Nick has done me super proud with this mammoth RC truck and after a few simple adjustments, I can see it entering your Time Attack Trials again 🙃👍
I might even sit on it while I go round 8 times just for a laugh 😝😝😝
I will definitely be getting in touch with Uncle Bob about Hop-ups, that's for sure.

My custom clod won't post a quick time, it's so heavy, and very slow.
As the original body and grill etc are now very rare, I will be taking it very steady to..... it will be more of a display 8 laps than a speed contender!
Both myself and and Taylor are seriously looking forward to the DT02 speed challenge...... we are fierce rivals, and the Green Hawks in house competition is going to get down right dirty and aggressive if last year's poor boys rc tto2 speed challenge is anything to go by!
They are on holiday next week, but as soon as they are back we will be doing an unboxing of those splendid boxes you kindly donated!
I'm so excited to finally get a hornet, I've wanted a hopper since I was knee high to a grasshopper if you pardon the pun! 😂

Thank You Addam for your very kind words. I was absolutely blown away when Nick said that he wanted to give me this magnificent mammoth RC truck. Uncle Bob said that he will give me all of the advice that I need to get this beast up and running properly so I will getting in touch with him very soon 👍

Always a scary time when things go bad with our furry friends! Izzy is fully recovered now thankfully so certainly know the worries!

Hi James, Maisie had 2 lumps appear and had to have a biopsy just to make sure that the cancer had not returned. Thankfully, the results were fatty tissue which was a great weight removed from my shoulders 👍 She doesn't like wearing her funnel and she had her stitches removed on Friday 10th. She is still a bit sore and making a full recovery. I'm pleased to hear that Izzy has recovered and is doing well 👍 😀 😊
As for this mammoth RC, I'm still gobsmacked that I received it and I've had it for 2 weeks.
I will definitely be testing this BigBoy out at a beach this year, that's for sure.

@@cw-01creations46 Fantastic to hear that alls good mate! Izzy op etc came to £2000.00 crazy we don't spend that kind of money looking after our selves!!! but they rely us right and we love um! Hey I did have a Clod many many years ago Peter and did get it to the beach! Wow a must do Peter! Pretty slow but nothing stopped it! Soft sand no problem! I drove it off a sand mount and it went right into a massive pool the other side lol it was epic its just went right through it! Fantastic fun! Anyway take it easy buddy cheers 🍻

Hi Craig, my little cherub is making a full recovery from her biopsy, which is why we were at the Vets. The lumps turned out to be fatty tissue and not cancer which is a relief.
And as for this beast, I will definitely be building this mammoth truck and testing it out at the Golf Course 👍

Hi Kev, I mean Dave 🤣 it was very kind of Nick to donate this to me and the mods for this are limitless so Uncle Bob's advice will come in handy when it gets built for massive amounts of fun. That's AWESOME PETER!!!!! Love me a Clod.... Oil shocks are a good start but keep in mind, you still only get about 12mm to 15mm of travel, servo savers on the gear boxes hit the chassis. Motors must be zero timing or you'll have issues (unless you can rotate the end bells). I just finished putting Brushless in one of mine, on 2S, stock gearing, stock chassis, speed was in the 20 mph area... Best wishes to Maisie, stay strong pup!!!

@@cw-01creations46 Hi Pete.. I currently have 5, one OG and 4 Super Clod Busters (same thing but different colors & stickers). The OG has the Chevrolet (Chevy) bow tie and the tail gate has "Chevrolet" molded onto it. However, at one point in time, I had about 8 at one time, from box stock (still very fun btw) to carbon fiber race chassis with 13 turn motors and a custom 9 or 10 cell battery pack, I must have owned 25 Clods in my life... Steel 32 pitch pinions are key for a long life in the gear boxes, that and bearings but your covered there (you stated its full ball raced already). If you have any questions, please feel free to ask mate.. Very happy to read Maisie is fine, as you know, I lost my boy Booth in January due to cancer... I miss my pup everyday...
@@UncleBobsRC Hi Bob, I was worried beyond belief when Maisie had those 2 lumps appear. Just when I thought everything was fine and she was cancer free, these 2 bumps appeared so I booked her in for an emergency biopsy just for peace of mind. I can't tell you how relieved I was when the Vet said they were fatty tissue lumps but she still has to have them removed at some point, the earlier the better.
I'm just waiting to hear from one of my suppliers about the DT-02 prizes for my competition and then we are up and running, so to speak.
Time to dust off those rear tyres and light them up across the grass or concrete and swap over some brushless motor's and pinions 😝🤣😄
I will definitely be asking for your advice about the Clod mods when I come to build it via email 👍

@@cw-01creations46 are you going to drive it standard before you upgrade it?, as I said it only needs a servo and a pinion for that, the truck is really good condition, I supposed doing a full rebuild will be e good so you know how it all works 😀

I was going to take it apart and modify it slightly making it front steer only and rear wheel drive on a 15t motor and 2s lipo then convert it back to twin 20t motors and four wheel steer.
Uncle Bob is the Clodbuster Guru so I shall ask his advice before I go all balls out and make a screamer out of it 😉

omg the cw 01 looks much smaller than the granite, I know it's 1/12 but they both have monster wheels... I have a kyosho mad van and it looks like it's much smaller than the granite!

The CW-01 is tiny compared to the Granite which was the biggest RC I owned until I got the mighty Super Clodbuster. Pete Wylie RC has a video on his channel featuring the Mad Van and Lunchbox together for size comparison but I think the wheelbase on the Mad Van is slightly longer than the Granite but either way, they are all magnificent RC's. They all do the same thing and that is to put a big smile on our faces when we drive them 👍

The best mod you can do to a stock clod is servo on axle setup. And locking the rear steer out .
Make sure your motors have zero timing because the rear runs backwards of the front motor
I wanted to put a wheelie bar on the back axle but I'm not too sure if it would foul the rear steering servo.
When you say locking the rear steer out, do you mean front steer only?
Obviously this thing is much different to a Lunchbox and about 15 times more chunkier as well...
I need to get out more..... 😝
