Named after his great-uncle and builder Heinrich Schmall, Karl-Heinrich Pfeffermann's house is idyllically situated on the Lahn in Gießen. With the round balcony structure and the porthole windows, the Schmall house has the character of a ship. Not without reason, because the whole family has a close connection to water and rowing. The building, designed in the Bauhaus style, is one of Giessen's cultural monuments and is a listed building.

Hallo, ein wunderschönes Haus mit Geschichte. Da kann Hr. Schmoll auch stolz sein. Ich würde mich in so einem Objekt dicht am Wasser auch wohl fühlen. Bin mit den Geräuschen (früher, Nebelhorn) und Gerüchen (Schlick) der Elbe aufgewachsen, deswegen kann ich das nachvollziehen. Einmal Wasser immer Wasser 😉. VG Petra
