It is Dumaguete City in the Phil's. In 2014by Forbes Magazine identified as Top Retirement haven in the World ( one of the Top Retirement Place ) and no other cities in the Phil's
Good place to be marooned!
hi brother, i live in manila but i was born in luzon batangas, i lots of land on sale if you're interested let me know.
Expats can long term Lease land for 25 years. Build a portable tiny home and move it if you want move location or provence. Just my thoughts since, we deal with lot of expats. Good luck to you and hope everyone works out for you.
Philipines is definitely one of the best places on earth.
Thank you for sharing this video
Beautiful places, beautiful people.. Mabuhay Philippines. I'm proud being a Filipino having an amazing Gods gift nature! God bless everyone

The best place in the Philippines? I really can’t say, I love it everywhere in the Philippines. Wish I can live to a 1000 to enjoy it all.
Davao is the best....
I agree! Everywhere is beautiful!
you can buy a land here, if you want i can help you.
You can do it just need someone to help you find the perfect place. Come to Philippines and travel around to the provence.
Aurora province is my another option...and wanna recommend it...nice welcoming beautiful diverse people..green surrounding ..clear blue water sea of the pacific...spectacular views..no crime...etcs..what a nice place to live....salamat po..
I love Philippines, my girlfriend is from Lapu-Lapu. I have some simple advice for living in the Philippines. Wherever there's a huge concentration of ex-pats or bloggers posting about it, find a different location. :) The country is so beautiful, there are so many hidden gems. Tr
hi brother, i live in manila but i was born in southern luzon, i a lots of land on sale if you're intetested let me know.
Hey, I want to go there and get me a girlfriend I'm looking a nice and quiet place to rent
Proud Filipino here.....That's why I'm teaching our own Tagalog(Filipino) language to European students and other nationalities. Try Punta Sebaring along Balabac that's the best beach for me Aim high Filipino People
We really love Philippines! Watching from Europe! We filmed a lot in Philippines and its really paradise. 😍
Thank you.
Welcome to PH 😊
The Philippines is my all time favorite travel destination. I always told myself I would retire there one day, and with current economic conditions that may happen sooner rather than later. Internet permitting I could move there tomorrow. What a beautiful country.
Has Starlink worked there?
Oh Baguio City will always be a place sought after to live in.....
Baguio City i love you.
Best place talaga ang Baguio City. Less crime and the people here are honest and very respectful aside from being the summer capital and highland resort of the country because of it's weather.
❤️
1st i went to Baguio i really like it, but now no interest at all, over populated , traffic & they say it's also hot. All i want there is cold weather but now i prefer Tagaytay, short travel from Manila.
Medyo crowded lang during peak seasons. It actually has 2: xmas season and summer.
@@dyvyncruz4485 agree, I've been looking at properties in baguio for a long time but got discouraged after going back in 2019, looked at tagaytay but this taal volcano situation makes it a no go
I adore the Philippines and its people I've been there three times, the last time being 20 years ago.I visited various parts but stayed mainly in Baguio and got to know it well.
Metro cebu is definitely the best combination of city and island life in the country. Metro baguio is not bad too bec of its cool year-round climate and easy access to la union beaches and further beautiful mountains in the cordilleras (sagada etc)
Tagaytay is mini-baguio. Still cool climate, near batangas/mindoro beaches, easy access to metro sta rosa and manila areas
I love Cebu! The beaches are just so awesome.
You mean Metro Cebu back in the 70's and 80's. The current Cebu City is dirty. I grew up in Cebu City but lived in the States in the last 35 years. I do visit Cebu once every 2 years and every time its getting more crowded and dirty. I won't even retire in Cebu City which is unfortunate because we have properties in the city and a 10 acre farm just outside the city.
Baguio is nice but too crowded. Parking cars in uphill position and narrow roads. Double park in uphill.
I like tagaytay better than baguio.
But i love cebu. A combination of city and nature. Many foreign tourists. Nice watching beautiful and handsome foreigners
@@UnbreakableBloke I totally agree with you!..Just imagine that most of the cottages in most beach ⛱️ resorts are uniquely designed!.......soo amazingly attractive that you wouldn't even think of going back home, but "STAY!"
Can't wait to go back!🏝🏖 Who's keen to explore the country together? To be with locals in every island is a decent plan too! We plan to go around May or when the restriction is easier. Can't wait 😊
I am fortunate to have accidentally completed my goal to visit 40 provinces before the lockdowns happened. With the swab testings, traveling is not as enticing lately.
You hope the country will be open in may. For now foreigners are not allowed. I plan on May also but curious if that that will happen.
I’ll join you! If not maybe bump into you 😊
My girlfriend lives in misamis occidental, I'm playing to move as soon as I could to Philippines to live and currently looking for safe place to live.
I'd like to do that on a motorbike. I live in Baguio but I want to travel around on a motorbike.
I lived in Dumaguete City for 11 years, surprised that wasnt on there. Good schools, shopping, markets, beaches, expats and airport.
I'm wondering what are there basis not include Dumaguete City .Where other sites Dumaguete City was include in Top 5 , the best place to live in the Philippines. Is that what they call the best place where you can find heavy pollution from different manufacturer, noise pollution from vehicles and neighboring residences. Higher crime rates where almost everyday exist. And the people itself are no longer safe . Harsh environment , heavy flashflood during rainy days and the basic needs are expensive. Is this what we call the best place to live ? Perhaps they just concentrate on the place that are highly urbanize and high commercials such as huge edifice. And i doubt the prime mover of this sites been to other places not in mention or just copied from other sites and to have an ideas .. Not that legit to proclaim where we been to a few , live and experience .. ✌️
People have different preferences when it comes to where the best place to live is and its actually good that this video incorporated good places with different qualities and things to offer. There are truly lots of other great places to live like Sagada, Palawan, Subic, Albay and many more. I can say this video is still very helpful. It provided some of the best places just for foreigners to have an idea of where they can stay in the Philippines
Almost all places here in Philippines are great anyway. except those parts with terrorists of course
I was about to say the same. I’m from Makati City, but when I went to Dumaguete City, it gave me a feeling of “I wanna live here..”
@@worldsbeauty8036 aha lol 😂 oh no I feel bad now should I stay in Canada 🇨🇦?
For me Palawan is the best! Only lived there for 2 years but I can't wait to go back...
Totally agree. There 3 years.
Now living in Angeles (not a nice city), girlfriend and me plan to move to Puerto Princesa.
Certified agree...best beaches is there!
If you like fruits, it's cheaper in Davao. If you like an urban setting, go to the capital cities. If you like the beaches, Iloilo and Cebu. If you like mountains, Baguio is the best. And vegetables, the surrounding municipalities in Baguio are the sources. Don't live in Baguio though, go to the nearby municipalities. We in Baguio escape the city during long weekends to give way for tourists flocking in. :-)
Davao city has been destroyed by Sara D30...most businesses bankrupt, no bars or entertainment, no island hopping, no scuba...nothing but draconian laws 😡👎🏻
Avoid it.

So wowww! !!
Wow beautiful place in philippines
You must try Batanes and Sagada 😬
Wow nice place amazing
Proud of my hometown......Baguio City
Baguio has no more space to even sit down for a dine 😂
@@kilometer6712 because they all up to baguio,if you go provinces life is better just eat your backyards no hunger😊
I love Baguio so much. I lived in Manila but I wanna live in Baguio because of cool weather. Aside from that everywhere you look at are all green and I love nature.
@@kilometer6712 hahaha because the place is sooo good people flock here but mostly those people are tourists. Locals dont go out often... they rather stay at home hahaha
@@mariettachua1373 so true and everywhere there are flowers sprouting even on sidewalks. It is a lovely city anf fresh cool air
Nice sharing my friend..
I have traveled far and wide in the PH, when you think you seen it all, up pos another beautiful location and hidden gem. For me I love the provinces as the people are genuinely friendly, helpful and always got a smile.
I miss the sound of the roosters and dogs barking & the hey joe, the sound of balut being called out by the sellers early in the morning. Mabuhay Philippiens.🇵🇭😎
Dermot : Yes, if it's roosters 🐓, then it's gonna be the 'PHILIPPINES!"...... 🐓 🐓 🐓
Hahaha Yes. When I was a kid growing up, my friends and I would greet Peace Corps volunteers in our hometown with “Hey Joe..” I’m 53 now.
I love Davao, aside from the reasons being said, fruits are cheap... with all the Durian, pomelo, mangosteen, etc.
Street beggars, horrible traffic make Davao not so appealing to me anymore, Plus closing down nightclubs at midnight really suxs now.
And also the streets are very clean and they have curfews even when covid was not yet here, the people are very friendly😍😘🤩❤❤❤❤❤💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚
@@catalinaortega4573 Curfew in Davao? When was that? I have rode the streets on my motorbike after midnight many a nights, never heard of a curfew
I moved to Davao from New York. I like the city. Traffic is a issue but I don’t go out in rush hours.
@@sthaider I am hearing traffic is getting much better in Davao City since Covid hit and many people have left the city thus traffic isn't that bad anymore, well thats one good thing about all the lockdowns in Davao City
I am American, and my girlfriend is from Pasig City. I don't like hot weather, so we explored both Baguio and Tagaytay. We decided to move to Tagaytay for several reasons:
1. Tagaytay is much closer than Baguio to Manila and the main airport.
2. Tagaytay is often crowded on weekends, but Baguio seems crowded most of the time.
3. Baguio is too cold for my girlfriend, whereas Tagaytay is quite comfortable for her.
4. Tagaytay is a small city, yet it offers almost everything found in larger cities -- without the high crime rates.
For us, Tagaytay would be number one. Yes, the 2020 Taal Volcano eruption was difficult, but that happens only once every 50 years.
still province is the
I've been curious about Tagaytay for awhile. I've heard it's considerably more expensive? As a single guy, do you think I can find a cheap, but good little place to rent?
The risk of Taal is ongoing, the alert level is still in No 2.
Tagaytay on Weekends and Holidays is a NoGo Spot for me, the traffic jam is terrifying.
Why you dont find a place a few miles away...?
Properties are much cheaper and the nature is more intact.
Amadeo, Indang, Nasugbu and other nearby towns are also nice to live and in 20-30 minutes you can reach Tagaytay City.
That's my advise.
@@Chris-gi9ch
what is "cheap" for you...??
Tagaytay as a Tourist Spot is totally overpriced.
Nearby Towns are also nice with intact nature.
Few miles away you can find places for half of the rent.
Amadeo, Indang, Nasugbu (with Beaches) are good options IMO.
@@loulou55... I think exploring the outskirts of Tagaytay sounds like a good idea. I really like Davao, but hot all the time.
Yes!! All those places mentioned here are really a great place yo Stay!! Thsnks for sharing!!🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭
I recommend Tagbilaran City Bohol 😉❤
Specifically Panglao island
It's more fun in the Philippines !
I adore the Philippines and its people.I've been there three times, the last time being 20 years ago.I visited various parts but stayed mainly in Baguio and got to know it well.
Hi. I'm intending to move to Baguio. How is the clima there and temperatures? Is it cold there compared to other regions?
Thx man
@@happyend9840 Just to clarify I don't live in Baguio. It is considered the summer capital of the Philippines and thousands of people flock there for the holidays. The temperature is usually in the 20s C but there is quite a lot of rain and humidity consistent with its tropical climate.
@@happyend9840 hi I live in Baguio and yes its good to live here if you like cool weather and nature. But its a small city maybe you will get bored later haha
@@happyend9840 the weather is good. The elevation is high. It is like the small San Francisco of the Philippines but fewer buildings comoare yo other cities there. It has a mountain views. Most fruit and vegetabkes crops were planted and produced there bec of its fertile soil and nice weather. The westher there is like the spring in the U.S.A. There is a flower festival like in the U.S during feb -1st wk march. One of the cleanest and best weather in the Philippines.
Ang Ganda nmn ng content ng video mo i love my country
Our country Philippines is absolutely awesome. Maraming salamat po 🤗
I agree. We love our pinagpalang bansang Pilipinas (Ophir) A lot of G... (Consider Batangas City or Lipa City - less than 1 hr. by car to Metro Manila and 3rd good climate & elevated; (2nd Tagaytay City) and (1st Baguio City).
I love the Philippines . Probably why I married a Filipino . Manila or Tagaytay for me I think
TAGAYTAY a very nice place to live . Cool weather beautiful sceneries .
I married a filipina because they are the best wives.
I have to agree with you Kirby Logan . My life has changed for the better since I met and married my Filipina
Yes Nilda Dela Cruz , the views of the lake and volcano are spectacular

Philippine is known as the “Pearl of the Orient “bec of its well- known natural beauty . Iam also a Filipino- Canadian and retired early from nursing . Planning to spend vac out there during winter . Hope to travel once the restriction is lifted .My home town is only on hour drive from Clark airport.

Clark is going to boom in the next few years with all the infrastructure and modernization projects going on in that part of the country.

I've narrowed down my list: 1. Angeles City 2. Subic Bay 3. Manila 4. Cebu City 5. Dumeguete
My 1. Choice is also Angeles. I have been to Angeles, Makati, Cebu. Makati and Cebu both had heavy traffic. Cebu is a NO for me i didnt like it.
how about bohol and siquijor?
@@therainmaker8946 i have been to Bohol. Its lovely there we hired scooter drove around Panglao but its too small to live for me. I like their small cities to live. More action with less traffic than big cities. I am a city boy from London.

Dumaguete city then a house in valencia for colder temperatures 🥰
very comprehensive and honest info and facts abouphilpione places.
The Bicolandia region in the Philippines is also the best place to retire .... the beaches in Camarines Norte and Camarines Sur are one of the best I have seen .....
The Aurora province, one of the untouched places in the Philippines. I can only hope that those remain that way .... untouched!
I never get tired of Baguio city, that’s why I have a vacation home there!❤️
Good for you

Proud Bacolodnon here! Thanks for including Bacolod in your list!

Yes not only that Philippines got so many beautiful islands, beaches, places and etc.

I lived on Palawan in the village of Port Barton. It was paradise until they paved the road into it. Now becoming another El Nido.

Beautiful places! I used to live in Pampanga!❤️
You did a great job and thank you! Hope you’re enjoying your stay there.
We Love Our Country Philippines.Depending to where you came from. For me I love Baguio where i came from. Orhers Definetly love their places even its not included in the list.No other place like home.
Philippines is a gem.
Well produced. There's more I'd add, and some of the locations had their traffic problems downplayed: travelling from Taguig City to say the airport or Quezon City can be very slow due to the lack of an underground proper metro (rail) that's a feature of so many Asian cities.
The inter-city subway system under construction in Metro Manila will be operational by the middle of 2022. A lot of skyway projects have also been completed, the biggest one being the skyway connecting North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) and SLEX. More are going to be finished in a year or 2, so going around the metro should be less of a hassle soon.
I'm from the City of Love ❤️ Iloilo City
I love the beach in mountain scenery in Batanes,
Nice video..i miss my home town Iloilo
Wow! its more fun in Philippines .
Excellent video! Thanks
Thank you very much! Godbless!
Beautiful country!
My mom and dad moved back to the Philippines from the US in 2014 to retire. They live in Quezon Province in Lucena and Tayabas City.
Just curious...how’s the water and electricity in Lucena? I’m planning to build a house after this pandemic
@@amaliahightower Electricity and water is good at Lucena Ang Tayabas. I live the nearby town of Candelaria.
My fiance lives in CDO, we had to postpone our wedding last March due to the pandemic. I will be retiring in the Philippines as soon as air travel is possible
Best of luck. You'll have an amazing time in the Philippines.
Good for you my friend. How many times have you been to the country?

Thanks for this video idol. I'm Fillipino from bukidnun province Mindanao Philippines.. not in your list bukidnun province Mindanao. It's summer capital in MINDANAO.
I'm definitely going to retired in philippines cebu, I don't care if my my husband not coming with me😁
jassmine, am a husband on standby ahaha, offer will be available for 6months to consider hahaha
Nothing can beat "CEBU", actually, cause this place has already been very popular ever since, even here in the United States! It's the most "Talked About"place of retirement, cause it's a mixture of city life, Western life, and province life. If you're really looking for very nice beach resorts⛵, restaurants, huge shopping malls 🛒, waterfalls, bars, mountains 🌄, nice houses 🏘️ and condos with relatively reasonable price, casinos, and the hospitals with the friendliest staff, oh well, it's all in one place, and that is definitely "CEBU!"....in addition to this, most people love to "jetski", only in Cebu's best beaches 🏖️!
Korek, go girl.
Lol
Top three places I would retire in is Davao City, IloIlo City or Dumaguete . Bohol also very cool
Davao is crazy traffic now and street beggars everywhere. Dumaguete has become Epstein Island for some reason. Bohol is cool, Illollo City seems cool also, never been there, heard good things about it.
Davao city of dust and racist
I'm from Dumaguete, who knows one day I might go home too, been away too long
lived in iloilo for awhile. good place. people were good. crime was low. very clean for a city. always felt safe there.. but you get out of the city there was alot of rebels there. i do like it out of the city's more. people are much nicer. and more relaxed. the holiday's are much more fun in the provinces. do love the provinces.
Rebel is everywhere even in all of this mention areas iloilo is a safest place even in all its province iloilo has no record of bombing unlike some of this places. Iloilo has no record of kidnapping foriegn . Iloilo is the safest place in all this mention areas.
Thank you🥰
Palawan for me...😄
💝 yes, Baguio city
Ganda
Maraming salamat.
Thank you for including Iloilo City in your list of ideal places to retire in the Philippines. Indeed Iloilo City is a peaceful city with peace loving and laid back citizens. If you are a kind of person who love peace and quiet then Iloilo City is the place for you.
So nice 👍 I just wish all
Thank you for your compliment to my place, because l was born overthere but l grow up in italy.

Camiguin is one of the best! Very peaceful and friendly people. Very close to Cagayan de Oro
If you're a vegetarian, live in Baguio city. That's where yoy can find he best vegetables .
My top 5 places to retire/ live in the Php:
1. Dumaguete 2. Siquijor 3. Boracay Island, on the other side near Newcoast not on the white beach side 4. Baguio City, near Benguet side 5. Camiguin
I've always heard Dumaguete is a wonderful place to live/visit. But surprised it wasn't in this top 10 list.
Good list. Honorable mentions: Lipa in Batangas, Dumaguete in Negros and nearby Valencia. Cagayan de Oro is another good choice.
Palawan is the most beautiful to live.real paradise.the best beaches.not so crowded.full of big green trees .lots of beautiful mountains and aways cool weather.no flood area.clean beaches and lots of different fishes.the eden garden of the god.
AWESOME 👌. Moving to Tagaytay 2022
I really recommend Cebu. There are lots of amazing destinations here! 😉💕
I have to agree! I'm a foreigner traveledfor about 20 in the PH .
Cebu city is less crowded less traffic has vast amount of places to explore, plus easy to navigate.
Cebu island has much to offer from great beaches, nice hotels and lots of rentals and very accessible by sea and air travel
close by are beautiful island like Bohol to the south east, bantayan island to the north west and Malapascua another of cebu island , plus many more islands .
