The Toyota hybrid is a good car for Jamaica, I know because I drove it 700 klm in Europe and I was surprised to see how good was it and save gas, I have a BMW but since driving one of those i want one
No diesel in the “contest”? A 2.5L turbo diesel would probably do two laps on 1/4 tank (55L capacity) 😆. But, as we know, diesel engines are demons in the new world - I don’t know why.
Not impossible. In October of last year I drove my 1L Vitz from uwi to mobay, then to negril, then back to mobay, then back to uwi and only used about 30% of the tank’s capacity. It all boils down to how efficient and disciplined you are as a driver
Manufacturer will calculate lifespan of all components via "KM"/"M". For E.g. at say 300000km engine needs replacing, meaning you will start to have internal components of the engine failing... My philosophy with hybrids is this: buy them brand new, sell them used... Don't buy them used.
And it nuh difficult enuh...these mechanics just waa hear hybrid and them start think cash and most of them dnt knw shit bout hybrid system..run them run to CZcams
@@Jwillo91ye but I think its going eventually appear where these so much problems n not much people can fix it so thats y i see so many second hand hybrid cars for sale
Because people don't maintain the batteries. Can't have things in the car blocking the air vents that cool the batteries. You've got to service the cooling system. Minimize dust as much as possible. Hybrid Diagnostic Solutions from Trinidad 🇹🇹 teaches these things and more.
Hydrids are the way. EV sales are plummeting while hydrid sales sky rocket. Ford themselves have axed most of the EVs R and D. Toyota has it right. Even companies like Lamborghini, Ferrari and McLaren have started making hydrids, not to mention there is an upcoming Porsche 911 Hydrid. If you want fuel economy, get a hybrid, ans nowadays if you want performance, get a hydrid.
A map overlay would make it more
awesome so we can see the route you took and ting
Good suggestion
A wah this ya? Jamaica Top Gear? Lol! Jeremy, Hamond and Maye.

Should do a comparison with the non hybrid to see how much better it is

I drove my 1L vitz from mobay to kingston and back to mobay. Used just a little over half tank. So ofc it could. And I wasn't trying to be efficient

Not gna be for a while. Toyota has been doing this hybrid thing for almost 2 decades, theyre quite reliable with basic maintenance.
