Yeah. At the beginning, she asked what the basics were of his style so she'd know what to expect. They both did great correcting to match each other. Her following his lead and him guiding her back in after she was adding in some of her flair. They both had to be good at what they do to shift around with something new to them.

This was so lovely! Look at them smiling! They were having as good of a time as I had watching them. The woman’s moves are so smooth, and the man was a perfect lead.
Sometimes she snagged the lead from him, then handed it back, then snagged it again ... lots more fun that way.

💫🙌 never forget that when you attend a "social dance", everyone is essentially "improvising" 😹😹 Two people dancing in this form means that the lead (usually a man)decides as the couple dances along which moves to signal the lady (the 'follow')to complete with him...she adds flair during the beats where she's been cued to a move & voila!! We have an enjoyable and entertaining dance!! Improvisation is the essence of this dance in its truest form❣️⚘️💫🙌

Fabulous! Both of them. I don't know a darn thing about Boogie Woogie, but her WCS style & follow skills are A++.
Boogie Woogie is essentially really fast and bouncy 6 count East Coast Swing. Stylistically, they were doing something much closer Lindy Hop, which is the basis for both Boogie Woogie and WCS.
That's amazing how seasoned dancers can read each other like that! Wow! They look so good together!

What treasured memories I hold of my parents breaking out dancing around the house at any given time when they heard certain music coming from our TV or radio or even just them cutting loose without music...my parents were magical at times...love and miss you both 💞

Really nice display of how compatible the two dances are! I hope this inspires more people to dare try crossover in both directions for social dancing. The slotted movement patterns and timing is basically the same. The biggest difference I think is the smother footwork and styling in WCS. So as long as both dancers are open to listening to, and adapting to, each other and the music there shouldn't be any problems. 😊

@@MrBennyrick77 in my experience both dances start figures walking forward on on 1 and two and then doing two tripples, anchoring on the second tripple (5 and 6). Then there are of course a ton of possible variations in both dances, but as long as both dancers listen to each other as usually it should work fine. :)

How I love this, takes me back to my own dancing days when I could do the same. Now I just sit back and enjoy this. Since I’ve done this type before, I felt every movement. Dancing is one of the best exercises you can get next to walking. It helps strengthen all the muscles and it’s also good for your heart, unless you have heart problems. Way to go Sondre and Ardena, hope you both have much fun dancing together again. It’s always helps to have a good dance partner to enjoy dancing with, especially when both dance partners have been doing it for awhile. This is what life is all about, and how to have fun doing it, which both of you seem to enjoy it a lot. Loved it. 👍❤️🙏🏼
