The first game was just a simply incredible showing of great piloting of each of these decks!
I was so confused when I saw the Tymna/Kraum player casting DRS
That first game was totally wild, can’t believe Mike pulled it out by playing John’s Angel’s Grace Grace then getting a second turn and using noxious revival on Thoracle 😂. Big brain moves lol. Major style points!

John should have hold his Cephalid Coliseum activation after Mike Consultation resolved in game 2..But I guess Mike may go for different line with brain freeze

Finally someone stops a Thass's oracle combo
In game two. Why not wait for Yawg Will and Consult to resolve and then crack the Cephalid with the Oracle trigger on the stack? Or would Mike have gone for another line if Cephalid was still out?
For me nothing is more satisfying as having a thoracle frustraded xD

I love seeing a ThOracle Consultation combo get disrupted into a loss like it did in game 1. Nothing against the combo, it's just very fun to see how people find ways around it.

The player order is wrong between Audio and Video during the first turns of the first game. Zack started playing, but you mentioned John.
I noticed that too, really threw me off on the first rotation
Today I learned that if you cast something on another player's turn and that player loses the game before your spell resolves, your spell still resolves after. Might be useful information in future.
holding that cephalid colosseum might have prevented that thoracle attempt
That was one great game 1!
For the first game, I never thought about the fact that breach isn't sacrificed until the beginning of the end step, so if you flash it in during the end step it will be around a turn cycle. That is wild.

Games like this show me that I am glad I still run lab maniac. Thoricle is good don't gete wrong, but checking a library and drawing an empty library are two different things.

You guys should do an episode with no Thoracle combo. Nothing against it as I know it’s super efficient but would be cool to see some new finishers

A lot of people complain about Thassa Oracle and consult but Its not at top of list for myself. cEDH should be 30 life imo. To many games revolve on drawing all these cards by paying life. It’s just not a draw back in the format

I am starting to lose interest in games with these decks (dual color partner pairs to just enable generic good stuff). The fast pace interaction battles, and impressive piloting skills were fun to watch at first, but I'm starting to get diminishing returns from them when they exist separate from unique/flavorful/thematic decks.

Thoracle wins again and again and again. cEDH is getting boring.
So, obviously, virtue-signaling by having pronouns on the screen at all times is super necessary, but the placement is a bit awkward. Would it not be better to just have the pronouns replace something from the previous overlay that is less important, like maybe the life point counter? It’s just cluttering up the field a bit.
