Hi Wes, as a Brit, I can tell you that it's increasingly common in the UK for people to use "who" instead of "whom". I would not be surprised if in the next ten to twenty years, we lose the use of "whom" altogether except for formal prose.

Hi Wes , could you tell me what the difference between “poeple would pronounce “ that you said when you were talking and “people pronounced “
Hi Wes. I have downloaded a dictionary with speaking option and use that option when I found some words difficult to pronounce and also for the silent letters. Is that helpful. Please let me know your advice. Thanks
Yes, I think that's a great way to listen to how words are pronounced and identify possible silent letters. 👍
Who or whom? Thank you for dissecting this so clearly.
Glad you enjoyed the lesson & found it helpful. 😃

Hi. Could you clarify Headed or Heading? A lot of people use “Headed to John’s.” Thank you.
I wish I could show my gratitude to you for these videos than I can do it with words. Let me give you a hint for a great lesson:
There is not that many words that rhymes with orange but here is one:
I put my orange four-inch door hinge in storage and ate porridge with George.

Thanks so much! I'll keep your suggestion in mind for the future. 😃
Greetings, Wes!
I have a question. Is it wrong to use 'it' for a baby?
I've seen the grammar books stress on such a singular gender neutral pronoun while referring to non-living things and animals. So, what do you think?
Good question. I would probably avoid it. If you're unsure of the gender, I'd refer to it as "the baby." At least that's why I do personally. 👍
What is a proposition?
To put it simple does PROPOSITION mean descriptive words
If I were to know what a proposition is I gotta look at what is a describing word?
Wes, this is your 400th video! :)
Wow, I had no idea. That's a crazy milestone. Thanks for the heads up. 👍

It's normal to say them. There's someone at the door selling mops. Tell them to go away, or even more natural, telum to go away.
Wows ☺️☺️☺️

Hi there! Would it be acceptable to use "person" as an alternative for a gender neutral situation? I mean, instead of using a pronoun? Eg. Is this person travelling on a vacation? Great class, thank you! =)
Thanks for checking out the lesson. Yes, you could say that but it sounds really formal. 👍
Hey i am german, haha and that was so cute listen to the pronunciation of googles "knie" but yes of course, it was correct^^
Thanks for this entertaining video
I am an Iranian and I really did not know that the English language has rules ❤😅
Thanks for commenting & checking out the lesson. :)
Glad to see u r still teaching n recommending that people follow the correct rules of grammar when using who n whom. Nowadays most people use who only when whom is the correct form. As one of your viewers said earlier soon whom may disappear. That will sad.
Nice blackboard Wes 😎
Thanks Javier! 😊
Hello Teacher Wes How's it going?

America and UK should use unanimous one spelling type.
Tnx Wes.
Using 'he or she', when we wanna talk about a neutral gender is personally a little bit frustrating for me. Because it takes long.
I have a question, Can we use 'their' instead of specified possessive pronouns, like we use 'they' for Gender-neutral? I sometimes use it. But I wanna make sure that is correct to use.
P.S. Immediately after seeing your video on CZcams I clicked on that to watch it. Whenever I see you posted a new video, I become so flattered.
Hi Yashar. Yes, you could also use the possessive form this way. 👍
I Chose American english😊

Octopus, the plurals are octopi or octopuses.
And their instead of his or her !
