Used both versions interchangeably before in tricky situations. Happy to know either were OK and neither was wrong. Thank you!

I love British English and culture.
Hi, I am from Afghanistan I want to say that your perfect teacher, thanks alot for your teaching I love you so much! thanks again!
Thank you for your valuable explanation. I loved it.
Thank you, Lucy. I appreciate your clear explanation and I am happy to report that I scored 5 out of 5.
It is a joy to learn English from Lucy. Please to my ears and eyes.
Thank you for this video, Lucy! Maybe you can also do a video on the if-clauses. In AE it has become super common to say: 'If I would have known this I would have done it differently'. Also people tend to skip the past perfect saying something like: 'If I knew this I would have done it differently' instead of 'If I had known this I would have done it differently.'
I would say "Had I known this, I would have done it differently" - just a different way of saying it.
@steveknight878 I like yours better. The whole phrase implied a silent "if." It's just my thought.
4/5👍
Clear and informative, as always!
Great explanation Lucy! I'm an English teacher too and I find your content informative and inspiring. I wish you all the success in the world! :)
Wow ma'am! your accent of speaking is so pure that i love just love it. 💖
Thanks for this topic. It's literally useful for my British English grammar so improvement so far. Once word again Thank you so much ❤
Amazing. Thank you! Got all 5 correct ❤
(Native speaker from south USA), You explain things well. After I finish this video I will go looking for one on who/whom. I mostly get it right if it is obvious like the object of a preposition, but in some cases I'm not sure.
YES, the lesson was very helpful. I also liked that you referred to American English. 😊
Thank you for your useful explanations.
Thank you very much Lucy! I got a 5 due to your amazing explanation. Happy and blessed New Year 2024 to you, your family, friends, and subscribers! Greetings from Mexico City.
To be honest, I could answer all the questions correctly .😊😊

I fortunately got 5 out of 5 because of your ethereal clear clarification.❤❤❤I feel like I got a godsent if I see you.Hopefully,I'm looking forward to your next splendid videos. Thanks a million,tr😘
Well done. Your explanation conforms with Fowler's 'nouns of multitude' that can be either singular or plural.
I got 5/5 but it's all because of your explanations that were very clear! Thanks
Well done, thank you so much, you always choose useful topics to teach
Nice one Lucy. I got 5/5 but I have to admit I often struggle with that one, especially because I work with both English and American colleagues 🙂. Another one which I found tricky is whether to use singular or plural after every+noun and each+noun
What is noum ?
Typo, I meant noun not noum
@@geoffraygregoire3220thank you. English is not my native language so I thought it could be something else. You could edit your answer, then. Make it right. ;)
I'd like to admit that I'm still learning english and not sufficiently good at english. But,in my knowledge, you have to use singular noun after every and each.
Hey lucy thanks for all your help in my vocab improvement ... Love from India ❤❤❤❤
